What tool or tools have you purchased thinking you would only use it occasionally but has become a staple in your crafting?

For me, it is probably Tim Holtz's tiny attacher. I really like the small staples.

For me it's the wooden inky tool thingy that you put the Velcro pad on for the distress inks. I love it and use it ALOT.

i love the tiny attacher too! i use it much more than I thought I would. I also love this 2" scalloped circle punch I got form Fiskars. I knew it would be handy every now and then, but I've used that sucker relentlessly since buying it!

Oh yes, Tim's stapler is one of my faves, actually, all of his tools are in my bag or on my desk.

My zero centering ruler. I use it all the time to position pix and embellishments without putting guide marks on my LO.

I would have to say my 1 inch circle punch! I didn't think I would use it as much as I do. I use it to make flowers and at the moment I've been using it like crazy making my own flair with epoxy stickers.

WRMK Envelope Punch Board.

I don't make cards that often, but lately I have needed to craft some cards, and have loved that thing!

I went to the LSS a couple of days ago, intending to scrap. Every single "kit" that I had put together seemed to be missing something important. So I ended up making cards instead. I am making the envelopes for the cards today. I may have to put that thing in my cropping bag and make a card or two with matching envelope every time I finish a layout. It would be a good way to use scraps, and I wouldn't have to be making as many cards at the last minute anymore.

And I can use it to make tiny envelopes for a layout, too.

It was totally an impulse purchase, and one I thought I wouldn't use very often, but it has come in very handy!

My Marvy large tag punch. I use it all the time, and even punch extra tags from my scraps to use for other projects. I'd have to say a close second and third are my 1" circle along with the 1 7/8" scalloped circle punch. I use them alone quite a bit, but I use them even more together since the sizes layer so well. Fourth place would be my Xyron X - I love that thing, and I never thought I'd use it even half as much as I do.

Treyaut, what is the "wooden inky tool thingy that you put the Velcro pad on for the distress inks"? I would be interested in knowing what this is, it sounds intriguing!

It's an alcohol ink applicator. I picked mine up at one of the big box stores. I saw Glitter Girl use it, or something like it, in several videos to ink edges and I had to have it. It's way less messy than trying to ink edges using the whole ink pad. Love mine.

I bought the Big Bite for a class and thought I would only use it once. I actually use it all the time! That gadget makes holes in almost anything!
Last night I punched an extra hole in some odd sized divided PP so they would fit into my PL album. So much easier than bearing down on my old MM tool by hand.

I use the MS scoring board way more than I thought I would. I found it for a really good price, so I bought it never expecting to use it as much as I have.

I also bought the Tiny Attacher but I knew I'd use it over and over and I do! Love it!

Xyron X sticker maker. I think I've had it as long as I've been scrapping; 18 years.

I have one of those and love it... I don't know it's proper name, but it's an ink applicator... At M's they have them by Ranger and by Adirondack; one has foam pads and the other has felt pads... The pads attach to the wooden handle with Velcro so you can change them out - different pads for different colours... If you watch Glitter Girl's videos, it's the thing she uses to ink the edges of papers... It gives a nice soft application of ink... I've only used it with a distress ink pad, but some pads are used with the liquid/bottled inks...

I also use my Tiny Attacher more than I thought... I use my WRMK Tab Punch on scraps all the time... And I love my Imaginescence heat tool and rhinestones... Was never into a lot of bling but it's perfect for adding just that small finishing touch...

Oh, and my zero centering ruler for planning/putting down letter stickers, and my EKSuccess nonstick fine point scissors...

When I first started (2004) I bought a 1/2 inch circle punch. I thought I would make tags and use it to make the tags look like "office style tags" with a hole protector on them. I had it in the garage sale bin when I thought I could use it to imitate ticket stubs. I pulled it out and use it all the time. I nip the corners of my journaling blocks with 1/4 of the circle. WRMK has this Corner Comper (stub side) but I have the same look for FREE!

I have to agree that the MS glue pen has been wonderful!!

I also love C-Line Clear Rulers (look in art department at HL). I have a 12" and 6". I can't find the link, but I use it ALL THE TIME!

The first thing I thought of was the tiny attacher...so funny that it's so popular.
I used to make fun of my scrappy friends that raved about it, but finally got one last month snd it's the greatest!

The tool I use the most is my clear centering ruler. The one I'm most surprised with how much I use is the Big Bite. I have several tag punches but none have the center hole and apparently I make a lot of tags so it is so easy to make sure I punch the hole in just the right spot.

My clear grid centering ruler. I have several different sizes. Use them all the time. And I love my Basic Grey precision magnetic cutting mat with extra magnets.

Who has my six? Anyone??

Another vote for the Tiny Attacher!

I got away (escaped? LOL) from SBing for a while and when I couldn't immediately locate my Tiny Attacher, I grabbed my nearest coupon and bought another.

Definitely the tiny attacher. I was never a fan of regular staples on pages but I was intrigued with this one since it's smaller and goes through veneers. Then I saw it on sale and figured why not? Love it! I don't use it a lot but much more than I ever thought I would.

I will second the tiny attacher and also my SU bone folder. I use both of them all the time.

I color some of the tiny staples with a permanent marker that is acid free.
