I just bought a Martha Stewart score board. I was trying to make the fan fold circles. ( I hope you know what I mean) but when I score a sheet of paper every two inches - turn the paper over to score the opposite side every two inches - so alternating fold lines are every one inch - then fan fold the paper back and forth.
It doesn't all line up in one stack on top of each other. each fold is slightly offset so the final folded paper looks like a tiny set of stairs.
has anyone seen this and what do you do about it?

To fix, I:
-started scoring at the RIGHT side of the paper, rather than the LEFT, and move back towards the edge on the left side of the board that the paper sits against.
-only score one side of the paper. So, in your case, score every inch on just one side of the paper. It folds just as well, no matter what side you scored on.
Using the above two modifications I have been able to make perfect little rosettes/fans, some that are as tiny as less than two inches across and scored on every line on the board.
