I am visiting Orlando and I was sad to learn that the stores I had visited here in the past are now gone. A Google search brought me to a store called Piktails. Have any peas visited this store? Is it worth it for me to take the time out to visit there? Thanks!

They are in a strip mall area with a Publix grocery store.
I drag my MIL there with me when we go to FL to visit. I think there may be a coffee shop in that strip mall also.
Give them a try!

I haven't been in a while, but they've always had an enormous selection of themes and a lot of stuff for each theme - definitely a lot for the theme parks like Disney and Universal, even Sea World. I hope they still do! I always had to set a budget when shopping there

If you have the time there is a really nice store that does have all the newest, latest and greatest about an hour northwest of Orlando called She Scrapbooks in The Villages in Leesburg. Well worth the trip.

Thanks, everyone! I did take the trip out to Piktails and picked up a few nice things! It was fun to shop in a brick and mortar scrapbook store again (most of the stores here in NJ are gone.) Next time I am in FL I will need to get out to Leesburg.

Wasn't there an LSS near either Florida Mall or Mall of Millenia?

I visited the scrappy Boutique near the Florida Mall last year. I am sorry to hear that it closed. I went there almost every year during my vacation in Florida.

Violettes is a great store. I always try and go when I'm in the area.
Scrappy Boutique just closed in January. So sad, it was a great store.
I keep hoping that something else will open in Orlando. I hate buying online.

I agree, but I don't care for one of their sales associates in the least (I wish I remember her name). I was visiting my friend, who lives in Auborndale, she insisted we go to Violettes. Loved the store and all its goodness, but the sales associate at checkout was rude.
