It is FRIDAY! That means the weekend is here! YAY! YAY! YAY! In this house that means REINFORCEMENTS are here! LOL! Any scrappy/crafty/fun plans this weekend?

This is our last weekend of free stuff for three weeks so we are soaking up the sun, doing some grocery shopping and hanging out. We are all so worn out from hours and hours and hours of jumping on the trampoline LOL!

Tomorrows challenge is "Touch it baby!". hehehe. Get some TEXTURE on those creations! Flock, felt, burlap, cork, foam, corrugated, crumpled or something else. Just texturize it up!

Sunday: BONUS CHALLENGE: We have a TON of awesome creations in the CADA Gallery, find one you love, lift it, spin it, be inspired by it and make something. They say copying is the greatest form of flattery right? Make sure you tell us WHO and LINK to which creation you scraplift!

Chatter: What are your feelings on "scraplifting"? Do you do it? Hate it? Flattered by it?

Also, what are your top TEN MUST HAVES from THIS CHA release?

Don't forget to upload, link and praise!

Here it is half way through and I have not done one challenge, YET. It has been a busy month with travel for work and fun. But I am reading every challenge, and I plan to get them done when things settle down and everyone is back to school (college).

Chatter- I LOVE to scraplift!! It is a huge source of inspiration for me. Whenever I want to scrap and don't know where to start I just pick a layout I like and start scraplifting. Of course I almost immediately start to adapt it as my own, but it is a surefire way to get started. I find it is a great way to use product and techniques.

I also like to use the videos classes from Two Peas for scraplifting. Since I am NOT a one photo per page scrapper, my most common variation is to add more photos, usually in the "white space" (which is now ofter spatter/mist/spray space.)

Chatter: I love to scraplift. I usually forget to go to my bookmarks, but I have photos of many and look through those for inspiration. A sketch doesn't well for me. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the one I did for the challenge was my first! I usually look at the sketch and then scroll down to see how someone interpreted it.

Crystal, if you could give me directions for how to link, I might be able to figure it out. Hopefully. Thanks for creating the CADA challenge and for coming up with the ideas to keep us going!

I love to scraplift too! I think it is the highest form of flattery when someone lifts one of my LOs! And I got inspired by so many talented scrappers that I love to use their great ideas!

We have friends over today so I don't have much time but I wanted to stop in and say hi and I hope you all have a great weekend! I created 4 pages for travel pics from our big trip in June/July when pics arrived from Shutterfly yesterday. They don't follow any prompts for the challenge but I"ll post them later tonight after we get back from our wine tasting! FUN!! See ya later!

Hey there! Glad to see I am not alone in this one LOL!

Scrappinlk: To Link, after you upload, I copy the html code in the address/location bar. Come here insert it by hitting URL, copy it, label it and post. Should work that way. I hope that makes sense, I am battling another dang migraine so hopefully that all makes sense.

Here is my layout for today:

Good morning all! I'm drinking my coffee and trying to get caught up on praise! We went to a local park that is celebrating their 50th anniversary this summer with some friends last night. They were hosting a craft and wine festival. For $20 you got a souvenir wine glass and 10 tickets to taste wines at the different booths. All the wines were local and I think I found a few new favorites (and came home with a bottle of peach apricot Chardonnay! Yum!!) Of course I took some photos and that will be fun page to do! Who knew we had so many great wineries in Kentucky!! I know we make some darn good Bourbon but didn't know we were becoming a wine state too!

Today we are going swimming at DHs uncles house and celebrating his grandmothers birthday. It's gonna be hot so that will be really nice! I hope you guys get out today and have a wonderful time! I feel like we've been able to create some amazing memories this summer! I need one of those PL cards with the words "Best Summer EVER!!" printed on it! lol

How about you guys?? What are you up to today?

Although I haven't been posting, I have been following along and creating. Alas, that will come to an end for the month as today will be dedicated to laundry and packing and more laundry. I am flying out with my oldest daughter tomorrow for DC to drop her off at college!! So far I am holding it together but I'm sure when I see her saying goodbye to her baby sister and her daddy tomorrow the tears will probably flow.

I love, love, LOVE a good scraplift! As others have said, it can be a surefire way to ignite the creative juices and is fun! I am NOT a recipe follower though, so my final product never looks the same as the original. I almost always add more pictures and embellishments; I'm NOT a fan of the big blocks of NOTHING (aka "white space".

I am going to a weekend crop in October so when I get back from dropping my daughter in DC I have to get to work editing our European vacation photos. We were gone for nearly three weeks so you KNOW there are HUNDREDS (actually, over 1000) photos to sift through. I also want to do some research and get some journaling ready for scrapping them. That's a BIG job but I have six weeks to complete it, so wish me luck!!

Hope you girls have a fun end of summer while I'm gone. If you are a praying person, I would appreciate you adding my "big girl" Abigail to your prayer list. She is a sensible, smart girl but she's going to a big city and as her Momma, of course I worry.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I haven't had any time to scrap this weekend, but I wasn't really expecting to!

DS and I went to Touch-A-Truck yesterday, and had a blast! We had a friend over for lunch, and he and DH worked on car stuff. Right now, DH and DS are at the farmer's market, so I'm jumping on here while I have a chance!

Chatter: I like scraplifting, especially when I need a jumpstart on a page. I like sketches too, but scraplifting is especially helpful when I'm looking for ideas on what to do with a particular color or paper line.

O/T: What do you make to go with buffalo wings? A lady in my MOPS group just had a baby, and we're signing up to bring her dinners. She said they really like buffalo wings, so I thought I'd do that. So far I'm thinking buffalo wings, French bread or garlic bread, carrots and celery sticks, green salad, and bleu cheese dressing.

She's got 3 other little kids though, and I feel like I should do another dish more kid-friendly than wings. Maybe pasta salad or pepperoni rolls? What would you ladies recommend? (DH was no help - he doesn't see why you would need anything besides wings!)

I'm slowly catching up. About to post day 5 (sketch challenge).

I don't mind scraplifting, but if you know who you lifted you should credit them. If not, just say the design was lifted.

Crystal, no we don't sit still very often! lol-especially on the weekends!! I feel like it's go, go, go and then crash! lol- but that's been my life for 10 years now...I'm just used to it I guess!

guizsmom...good luck with getting DD off to school! DC is a great town and she is going to have amazing adventures! I can't imagine what this moment is like as my kids are still small, but I will be praying for her (and you!) as you all go through this transition!

TexasJen, I think your menu sounds great but maybe for the kids you could just do some boneless BBQ wings or something like that. They are usually milder than buffalo wings and easier to eat since they don't have bones! Just a thought! It's a very nice thing you are doing for your friend!

Happy Monday Ladies! I have been scrapping like a mad scrapping scientist this weekend! You should have seen my hair! When CADA began, I didn't follow the prompts but this weekend I got some done and having fun!

and Guzismom: I am praying for your DD's transition to college, who's probably not far from me since I work in DC. So keep us beltway Peas posted.

Crystal thanks for the fun prompts...praying for you too, to be rid of those migraines.

Have a fun day ladies. I hope to catch up on more praise this evening.

YAY for scrapping Scrap2bless! I didn't know you were close to me, I know ONE other person that actually scraps LOL!

NKUMomma craziness, but we go go go during the week right now and then crash on the weekends. Doesn't help much that DH is a homebody introvert that would be blissfully happy staying at home 24/7, but I have ot drag him out every so often! LOL!

Yes, Crystal, so cool to know that we're in the same area. We've probably crossed paths at a crop and didn't know it. Although, I've rarely ventured out much unless its a weekend retreat once or twice Per year. Another common fact is my DH is a homebody too! LOL...
