Quick question for those of you who mainly make mini albums.
Do you actually use them for photographs, or do they just end up being a decorative piece? Do you just end up stashing them somewhere, do you give them as gifts, or do you sell them?
I'm just curious! I actually started out making mini albums but switched over to 12x12s when I realized that I wasn't USING them. I miss making them though!

I add pictures but have not made many of them for myself.
I have a few mini album projects in mind though.

I have used all the ones that I have made! They are fun to put pics in of little events or trips. But I have also given a fair amount of them away!
|Posted: 8/25/2013 11:05:55 AM|I only make them to use. I do almost all of our vacations in mini book styles, plus I have one for our date nights, yearly Halloween costumes, seasonal, etc. I love mini albums. Now I do have a couple of the daybooks waiting on projects. They were on discount, so of course I had to buy

I mostly make them to make them or to give away. of all the ones I have made, I think only three have actual pictures. I'm a paper person and no matter how I might try I am just not a picture taker and memories aren't in pictures some how for me....

I make a lot of mini albums and yes, they all have plenty of photos in them. I have made quite a few to give as gifts but I have some I made for myself. I'm not sure if an 8x8 album would be classified as "mini" but that is a size I use quite a bit. I plan on looking for a pretty basket, a good sized one, to put all the minis in so anyone could look at them whenever they want.

All of mine have photos in them or will have photos in them....
I make them mostly to give away. I made one for my inlaws in New Zealand with photos of DS, I made one for my mother with photos of DS, one for my girlfriends' new baby, sometimes for trips etc....
I do regular layouts (12x12) for most of my stuff but do mini books to give as gifts.....

|Posted: 8/26/2013 1:27:06 AM|I have made 2 mini's and the 3rd is still work in progress. Both the 2 finished ones were gifts so they were filled with pics and journaling. The 3rd one that's being worked on is the first one just for me and I hope to add pics to it...I'd hate to just be empty

I only make one if I have a specific set of pics in mind. I LOVE mini albums. I keep them with the rest of my albums and I love to look through them.

I make mini's as gifts, to sell & to keep. If for gifts or to keep they have pics & journaling. And I often have some with photos in them on display when I sell at craft fairs and bazaars.
Collage prints are great for mini's you can print multiple photos in a variety of smaller sizes perfect for mini albums.

I have made several and they all had photos but one, which was specifically a book of quotes. I usually do them around a particular event or theme.

I make minis for gifts and for my own use. If I don't have pics to include in a gift mini , I decorate the pages leaving space for the recipient to add their own pics and I usually include a tape runner for convenience, especially for those who don't scrap. The minis I usually do for self are either of a vacation or a misc. theme. All else goes in a 12x12 or 8 1/2 x 11.
I like minis because they are much more portable than larger albums. And I like the idea of customizing the covers and display them in a basket, table or shelf as a decorative piece for guests to access.

I have lots of minis in baskets around the house. My friends say they love to look at them. They'd rather browse a mini than a 12x12 album. And they all contain pictures.
I used a LOVE word book mini (remember them?) as a gift tag for a wedding shower and included pictures of the engaged couple.
Currently thinking about making a mini with pics of all the lighthouses we've seen here on the East Coast.
