Does anyone notice how many of the new lines are very distressed and dark? EP has always been one of my favorite lines because they usually have bright colors and a mostly clean look. It seems like the a releasing more and more lines with a lot of distressing and darker more drab colors like the reflections line. Do you like it? Do you think it reflects the current trends? Do you think it is going to be more common in future lines?
I just don't think I've been around long enough to know if manufacturers stick to one type of look or if it changes every few years.

I think echo park had a multitude of designers & that that team changes off and on. I would imagine it is a reflection of both staying with the trends & different designers on staff

I noticed that too. I am not a fan of their new trend. I want my old echo park style back

I agree that I like them for the nice bright colors. If I want distressed, I usually pick up Simple Stories. I think that is why I am not a big fan of the current releases.

My kids are all in college or graduated, so I don't think I'll be making an Echo Park purchase this fall. Oh well, there's always hope for brighter colored Spring releases!

I did get Paper & Glue and am thinking about the Thankful line. The rest of them are too dark & drab for me.
I'm so glad Bella Blvd stayed true to their bright colors this CHA.

I was disappointed the papers were distressed in the Sweet Girl line. I tend to gravitate towards Doodlebug, Pebbles, and Bella Blvd because I like bright clean looking paper.

I haven't puchased Echo Park for a while due to their distressing.
I am kind of tired of the distressing from any manufacturer. One or to pages in the line, ok. But all of them, not for me right now.

I agree, and hope they go back to their former brighter colors.
