Do you take them every year?
I am curious to know.

|Posted: 8/30/2013 4:04:30 PM|We haven't missed a year so far!
We don't do anything fancy with cute signs or shirts... just the girls all ready to go before we leave; a few shots of the walk to school; and in the younger grades, of the girl lined up with her class to go in.
This year our eldest is starting junior high at a new school (gr 7) and told us "it was ok if we wanted to stay with younger DD and she could just walk to school by herself" LOL! I asked her if she wanted us to walk her to school in the morning or if she would prefer to go alone, and that is what her reply was... I like how diplomatic she was about it, and as if she was doing us/little sister some sort of favour.

I actually homeschool but I try to take a photo of my son at the beginning of each year. I do a school album as well so I put the photo in the album and keep a sample of his school work and art in an envelope in the album.
I also take lots of pics throughout the year on our homeschooling field trips to Science centre, Pioneer village, Fire Stations etc.....so I end up with a lot of school year pictures!

Yes. My sophomore Dd was being a little tired of it, but I told her I was taking this photo through high school and there would also be a photo in her dorm room in college!

I also started with pre-school and hope to go all the way to my ds senior year of he allows me to. I'm still working on completing his elementary album with his 8th grade promotion pictures. Then will start on his high school album with a picture of his first day of his freshman year.

I do if they cooperate. My 8th grader "isn't into taking picture". Got the back of his head and a blurred side shot this year.

|Posted: 8/30/2013 11:45:50 PM|So far, yes. We take a few portrait type shots and a few full-body shots each year, with our house as a background (the exception was my daughter's first day of førskoleprojekt when did it in the garden as the house was in the middle of being replastered). Over the years it'll be interesting to watch how the kids (and the houses) change.

Every school year I get a first day of school and a last day of school photo. In Elementary I always got a photo of them with their teacher.

|Posted: 8/31/2013 12:35:45 AM|I try. Sometimes it's a second day of school photo. This year's pic was rushed and he's just standing there like a wooden soldier, but at least I got a picture!
