I currently use Memory Manager to organize my photos, and have loved it for years, but I'm worried about its longevity with Creative Memories "restructuring".

Can anyone shed any light on the future of Memory Manager?

If I decide I need to switch, what are some other easy to use organizers I should consider? (Windows based) The features of Memory Manager I loved was the fact that I could edit, tag, and automatically keep in chronological order all in one spot.

Thanks for all the Pea-wisdom!

I asked that same question back in August, Here is the thread about it.

After hearing about the software company taking over the updates and support of Memory Manager, I decided to just stay with MM, but I have been making sure all my backups are up to date, just in case!

You can do all of that in Picassa and it is free.

Thanks luckywife- that thread had a lot of useful info. Did you look into the Historian at all? I was mostly concerned since the info given on Memory Manager mentions the transfer to the original company- but no long term vision.

I might check out Picasa, too.

I haven't yet...I used my scrappy time to put together my photo order to use my CM photo credits!

I'm going to wait and see what the final agreement is after the bankruptcy has gone through. Right now, I have the backup and shadow copy in MM updated, and I also have all my digital pictures on DVD (when I upload to MM, I also put the pics in a file on my computer, then burn to DVD). If MM does crash or something, I will look into other options then. I have that thread bookmarked so I remember which programs were recommended.
