I used to love the white signo, but now I hate it. I didn't use it for a little while and now it's skipping and draws a clear line down the middle (not solid line of ink if that makes sense)

Anything recommendations for other white pens?

Put it in a cup of hot water to clear the ball, and loosen the ink. There aren't any better white pens than the Signo.

Also, IIRC, the Signo likes to be stored on its side better than straight vertical. Mine is still going strong after a year of intermittent use.

I have the same problem with my Signo! I will have to try the warm water tip that the poster above mentioned...

Lately I have been using the white Gelly Roll pen from Sakura and it's been great so far. I've even used it on glossy photos and haven't had a problem with it smudging.

I'll have to try the water too, I'm having the same issue. I was using it to do the "shine" on eyes, you know, the little dots? But all it's doing is becoming a globby mess *when* I can get it to even write at all. It's super new too, and barely any use.

Online card classes reccomended some tips:

- Draw on your hand first to warm up the tip, circles recommended to pool the ink.
- Hover above the paper, pool the ink. This is a thick opaque gel - treat it more like paint
- If the pen skips, stop, draw on your hand, get the ink flowing again.

I usually have dots of ink on my hand whenever I use this pen.

Before the signo pen, I would use Deleter white ink with a bamboo manga brush.

I had this sort of issue with mine...I just took the pen and tapped the ball tip of the pen on a sheet of paper three of four times and it started writing perfectly again

I've never heard that you should store them on the side. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the water tip! I've almost always stored them on their sides but still had problems.

I've never had luck with white pens. Never. Tried several that were highly recommended.

I gave up on the Unibal Signo too. After the third one failed (on the second or third use) I won't buy any more of them. (I might give the hot water idea a try).

Now, I am using the Sakura Gelly roll and love it.

I have bought 3 pens in the past year thinking because of this same issue. I thought it was ME. Good to know I'm not the only one. Will try the hot water tip.

I just threw one away that didn't work. I'm on my second one in a year. I will not rebut after this.
