|Posted: 10/1/2013 10:54:42 PM|Glitter Girl made me think about using elements on my page that relate to the story even if I'm the only one who knows it. I love the connection of the elements on the page to the story I'm telling and the memory.
Here's what the page elements mean to me. The constellation paper reminds me of the beautiful starry skies from our trip, the red checked paper looks like the red checked tablecloth on our picnic table, the wood grain paper is for all the trees in the woods and all the wood we used in our campfire, the cherry card represents all the cherries we ate from farmer's markets, the tent icons for our tent and the hikers for the hikes we took.
Here's the layout:
Have you ever made a page where your elements had meanings that were hidden except to you?

Oooh good one!
I love doing that and need to make an effort to do it even more often. I love the deliciously random look they give to a page!
It looks like it was really made from scraps rather than carefully selected and purchased pieces from a scrapbook store!
Your layout looks great and thanks for sharing the meanings of your embellishments!

yes, I did a page about all the changes that happened that yeatrand I used butterflies and clocks. AT first you may think they are just pretty, but to me it was time changes and butterflies for metamorphosis

Very cool! I love how the supplies can be more than just pretty and have a special meaning.
I've saved pieces of wrapping paper that I plan to use in a layout at some time - very pretty but would have a meaning because I'd think of the present that was wrapped in it too
(Another thing on my to-do list)
