I have a couple of these in my stash but am struggling to make them work on a page. I know I could just slot them into a 3x4 pocket on a divided page protector, but I really wanted to put them on a 12x12 page. However, every time I try to incorporate it into my design, it just looks like I've stuck a plank of wood on my page! Has anybody else had success in venture?

Yeah, I don't really know what to do with them either. I have some that are the polaroid style, and I've used them with a photo in my project life. But the ones that are pretty solid designs, I am kind of stuck on. Hopefully someone will have some good advice!

If the "wood plank" look is distracting, consider misting it, painting it, or running an ink dabber over it. I've found that the wood veneer cards take to added color quite well.
I even cut one once, just using part of it (here).

Or you could stamp on it, too.

I just used one from Basic Grey on a page that I'll post on my blog this week (will try to remember and come back here to update this post.)
I used it with 2 photos - 1 4x6 and one that was smaller. They are staggered across the center of the page with the title above and journaling below.
