Hi everyone!
I just have a couple of questions regarding PL.

1. Which page protector(s) would you start with if you were starting fresh? I'm currently doing PL in a small Sn@p album and am going to move up to 12x12.

2. Christmas! Do you do a separate album for DD/JYC, or do you incorporate it into your regular PL?

Interested in hearing your replies. Thanks!

I'm not a fan of BH brand ANYTHING so I opted for the WRMK page protectors. So far, I'm enjoying them.

I don't do much for the winter holiday so it's staying in the regular album. As far as BIG EVENTS go we went to Disney World earlier this year and that gets its own album. The PL is going to reflect just a one page "this is where we were, these were SUPER HIGHLIGHTS" and then "see Disney World album".

HTH!

Oops! I meant "which configuration" (like Design D, or Design A, for e.g.).

I'll see if I can find WRMK at my local M's or ACM's.

Frankly, I would use something like Design C (I use American Crafts vice Becky Higgins). The reason is it gives me more flexibility with my 4x6 photos, and doesn't force me into a 3x4 pocket unless that's what I want. I will just put two 3x4 items (photos or cards) into a slot and use some washi tape on the back to keep them from sliding around.

I also recommend one form of the vertical if you take many vertical photos. So, Design D can accommodate that. I use Recollections by Michael's because it has space for three vertical plus two horizontal photos/cards.

Last year I tried and failed miserably with DD. It just isn't for me.

This year, I plan to do my normal PL for the month (I do at least a 2-page spread per month, more if I have more to include). I plan to also use something like Design F to do the following for December. On one side, I am going to have 10 cards called Ten December Blessings and the other side 10 cards called Ten Christmas Wishes. I'm doing something similar for November called Twenty things I'm grateful for. I've already made my list of 20 items to put on the list.

Good luck!

Thank you! That actually sounds like a good idea. Otherwise I can see where you'd end up possibly having to cut 6x8 pics into 3x4s (something Julie Fei-Fan Balzer does quite often in her PL album). I tend to take more horizontals than verticals, too.

As far as design, I went with the six 4x6. It comes with either three up horizontal or two up vertical. I prefer the three up horizontal. That is all I'm intending to buy and I use 2x5x2.5 Instagram type photos for my layouts so I don't really mind the changing of the sizes.
