Please tell me I am not the only scrapper that does not enjoy/like scrapping Christmas. Please! LOL!

What don't you like to scrap???

You are not alone. I have scrapped no pictures related to Christmas. I have teo paper pads that I like that are Christmas-y. I did JYC and found out that wasn't for me.

I have kids (small) but I still don't really like it. I don't get "good" pictures when they are opening/celebrating/crafting whatever since I am so involved maybe that is it.

I like holiday scrapbooking and I love to buy Christmas lines, but I feel this way about Halloween scrapbooking. I'm not a big fan of Halloween in general, although I do like fall decorating and carving pumpkins. But I'm never tempted to buy any Halloween paper lines and I rarely scrapbook the pictures I take of my kids at Halloween.

I don't dislike it, but I've never been keen on it or devoted a ton of space to it, I guess. I have one 6x12 insert from last christmas and then a few daily photos, that's it.

What I really don't like to scrap is myself.

I'll admit that Christmas LOs become more challenging to me every year. My DS is 19 and we don't have much family. I don't love it but I want to rise to the challenge and do it.

Good luck with the Elf Daily! I bet you have more Christmas-related stuff than you think - do you have any red, green, or gold paper, embellishments, embossing powder, or ink? Any star stamps, star embellishments, or star punches? Snowflake punches or embellishments? Silver, red, green, or gold washi? Extra Christmas cards you can cut images off of? Scraps of wrapping paper? You could cut out green triangles and skinny brown rectangles to make trees. If you have a small hole puncher you could even add some circles as ornaments.

You don't need Christmas supplies to make festive pages. The last Christmas LO I made used all white and pink paper, but it has tons of punches snowflakes on it. It looks pretty cute and holiday-appropriate, if I may say so myself .

I do love scrapping Christmas but I rarely have enough photos or even memories without photos as an adult to scrap it. I think I am going to do a childhood Christmas memories album this year. Now that I think of it, there really isn't any topic I don't like scrapping! Maybe I am the weird one

I am not a holiday or birthday scrapper. I do have a ton of Christmas supplies bc they are so pretty and I do a DD album each year. I just don't get excited about doing the full layouts. They feel like a chore.

I have been Scrapbooking since 2001 and I've only done 3 Christmas LOs. I've never done a Christmas mini album. I've completed a DD book for this year and hopefully I will get some pics in it. I just do not like doing holiday LOs (Christmas, Valentines, thanksgiving, Easter, etc.), only 4th of July. However each year I have the best intentions because I seem to have on hand at least 15 Christmas lines. ARGHHH!!! It's just not my thing.

I don't mind scrapping Christmas, although it's not my favourite. I like it more since I made it a separate album and I've added layouts about going to pick out our tree, cookie baking and favourite recipes etc....it adds variety!

I really don't like doing birthday layouts for some reason....I have some papers and some punches, stamps etc...but I always have a tough time coming up with ideas for design etc. because I really don't like doing them!

I can't get into it either. Now that my kids are older and I've accepted the fact that I'm the only one who really likes the holiday, I've given up and the day is nothing special. We have a big meal and open presents. There's really nothing scrap-worthy in it.

I also don't get the whole pumpkin patch mania. It flummoxes me.

I don't like to scrap Christmas, either... or anything that happens every year, basically- Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc. We don't have kids, so that's part of it, but every year, we do the same sort of stuff so the photos would all be pretty much the same. Why should I scrap it again, just because it's a different year??

(so I don't! )

I might make a layout about our favorite Christmas ornaments, or take a photo of the Thanksgiving duck now and then, but there's no 'Thanksgiving 2011,' 'Thanksgiving 2012,' etc. layouts in my albums. (since I don't scrap sequentially, it's not noticeable to me, anyway.)

ETA: I never make any 'winter themed' layouts, either, but that's more because of where we live; I don't really 'hate' winter. There's just no need for all the snowflake and snowmen themed stuff, here!

No, I don't scrap Christmas either. I don't find it fun. I do enjoy making a December daily. I don't really scrap photo's in it but things I have done. I don't try to make it Christmas related. I make it more Winter related.

Check my gallery. I do an elf album every year. Pocket style pages one year. I don't use Christmas themed papers and embellishments sometimes. I'm not a red and green person so most holiday lines don't appeal to me. I don't have a bunch of holiday layouts either for this reason. Also don't try to focus on the kids as much as the activity. I mix it up. Some days it's just the one picture of our elf and what he 'did'. When I do have a picture of my kid and/or something holiday related I mix it in.

I'm so glad I not alone. Christmas isn't my thing either.
Since I am doing PL this year, I am going to try to fill 10 3x4 cards and call it "10 December Blessings" and a nother called "10 Christmas Wishes" as an experiment.

"10 Christmas Wishes"

I really like this idea! I'm not much for scrapping Christmas, like others that commented, it's basically the same every year and with no kids it just seems.....like there isn't much point.
But I am doing a thankful/grateful one for the month of November. I might have to give your idea more thought for December! Thanks!!!!

I have a hard time with Christmas too. I've managed to do 2 layouts I think, maybe 3, and those were a long time ago now. I have basically no Christmas items or papers, though I do like some of the new Heidi Swapp Christmas collection.

YAY! I am not alone! SHEW! LOL! Thanks for all the tips on using what I have to make this Elf Daily. We have lots of fun with our elf Sulley so it should be fun. I did find some awesome flair that a friend had custom made for me, so if you are doing the elf daily you may want to check her out! She custom made mine in the colors I plan to use, how unique is that!? Awesome custom flair!

Oh thats funny. I was just re-watching a Glitter Girl episode about doing a Christmas page without Christmas supplies. It was episode 46 - Out of Season Sensibilities.

I think I have only gotten around to scrapping one Christmas myself. And last year instead of a December Daily I did 31 Christmas memories with old Christmas photos of my brother and sister and I as kids. I gave them each a book as a gift.

When I do get to scrap the Christmas photos it will be hard to decide how to treat the photos that are the same every year. Do I want to make sure they are scrapped for each year or do I feature a different tradition each year or what...

I love scrapping Christmas, but Easter is the bane of my existence! I think it's because I have a boy and the pastel Easter stuff just doesn't work well. I have found some bolder Easter/spring items lately, so I'm hopeful!

You know now that I think about it I am not a holiday scrapper in general. I have never been into Halloween besides the costumes for the kids and the carving of the pumpkins but I love love love scrapping FALL, I don't like scrapping Easter, New Years, Valentines Day or any other holiday but I don't mind doing birthdays so far since they are usually different themed parties. Hmm interesting.

I also dislike scrapbooking Christmas. I do not like the traditional colours of red and green and I find the photos too busy and awkward for me to scrap. I make all my own Christmas cards so I figure that is enough although I am going to try and give a shot at some layouts this year.

I'm terrible at this too, but I absolutely love Christmas season. I have a drawer full of Christmas goodies and I have two goals: DD of 2013 and 8.5x11 of our fondest Christmas memories and favorite traditions since childhood to current. This way, I'm only scrapping random/fave photos and not every photo of each year.

I find scrapping all holidays difficult, likely due to my self-imposed challenge to distinguish each year from the previous. Despite attempts to vary my perspective each year, I end up with similar photos over & over. My approach the last couple years is to create 1-2 layouts that capture new/unique things for that year (eg Halloween costume, photo Christmas card, Easter basket). I do not use themed supplies, but basic patterned papers (eg stripes, plaids, chevrons, dots) & versatile embellishments. All other photos are stored in 4x6 vertical or horizontal divided page protectors. It works for me!

I like scrapping everything, but I have very few photos for spring or fall, so those collections just don't get used. I have enough of everything to scrap several lifetimes.

I don't have many Christmas layouts, either. I took lots of pictures when the kids were little, but as they got older I would forget in the hustle and bustle of gifts and cooking. There just aren't many interesting pictures to use, so it isn't as fun as it used to be.

The last Xmas line I bought was a basic grey line and I probably only used a few sheets. I haven't bought a Xmas line since. I don't get excited at all, sometimes I don't even take pictures on Xmas day. Did I just write that "out loud" ???!!!

I'm more of a "I love that photo, I wanna scrap it" kind of scrapper. I have been trying to do at least one photo of each kid per holiday but it is a bit of a struggle for me

I've only ever scrapped one Christmas photo and that was of a market we visited. December is just another month to us, we don't do anything special, we aren't religious, don't particularly like Christmas songs or films so the idea of doing a December Daily is lost on me. I do love Christmas day but tend not to take many photos.
I'd much rather scrap (or mini album) the Summer when we take lots of trips and spend lots of time outdoors.

I would go out tonight but I haven't got a stitch to wear.

I like to scrap anything, I just don't scrap everything. I like to keep track of my Christmas village because it has grown from 6 or 7 little houses, to my entire dining room table covered with houses, people, mountains, a train and let's see what else I add this year. I take lot of Christmas photos, but I usually scrap only two or 3, not including my village.

My Christmas pages usually consist of 3 separate layouts of each kid opening presents. When they were younger, the occasional Santa picture. I could never do a December Daily album.

I know everyone is keen on moments scrapping, but I have a horrible time organizing these thoughts and fleeting memories into pages. I prefer scrapping events, sports, and holidays.

I am pretty neutral about it. I usually scrap one or two Christmas layouts each year but I am not all gung ho about them. I much prefer scrapping regular everyday moments.

Christmas is about the only holiday I do scrap - two pages for each year, in our christmas album.

But no birthdays/halloween/easter, etc in our albums

If not for xmas and birthdays (nieces and nephews not my own) I would have nothing to scrap...besides my vacations.

I don't scrap Christmas or birthday photos. I find them to be very chaotic and they all kind of look the same. I have all those pictures organized chronologically in 3-up albums with a 4x6 title in the first sleeve of each year and a 4x6 journaling block in the last sleeve of each year.

I LOVE scrapping Halloween! Even though my kids are 17 and 24, I still manage to find something Halloween-y to scrap each year, and I have an album devoted to Halloween layouts.

I am normally so involved in actually doing stuff that I get very few pictures and the ones I have are crappy. Sooo as a result I don't like scrapping Christmas much either.

Much as I llloooove Christmas papers, I'm just not a holiday/event scrapper and can only think of two Christmas pages that I've made. Both were more 'moment' pages that happened to occur at Christmas.
