|Posted: 10/31/2013 9:40:48 AM|Got in the car this morning and Christmas music is playing in the radio! I know, I know...it's only halloween for crying out loud. But this makes me happy maybe it'll make me wanna get my Christmas scrapbooking on. Can you do...listening to Christmas music this early? Does it make you wanna scrap holiday photos?

Makes me happy too! I've never really scrapped holidays, but this year, I'm feelin' the Christmas spirit early!

I've listened to some already. I like Christmas music.
I just don't see why people think I'm too patronizing (that means I treat them as if they were stupid.)

I like Christmas music, I love anything to do with the Christmas holiday.
But I don't want anything Christmasy in my home until December.
I don't even put up my tree until 12 days before Christmas.
Believe me I am not a scrooge...I just like to compress the holiday to that one month.

As soon as November 1st arrives so does Christmas. As a Canadian, Thanksgiving is over so bring on the Christmas!

|Posted: 10/31/2013 12:17:32 PM|I might have to listen to some -- I have Christmas photos from last year to scrap before December hits us again, and I have my December Memories album to assemble for this year once my orders arrive.

I love Christmas music and begin playing it October 1st (crazy, I know), but the thought of Christmas being less than two months away about gives me an anxiety attack. We will be on vacation in Florida for two weeks in December -- so much to do!!! But bring on the Christmas music -- it cheers me up and inspires me to get that DD album ready to go.

Well, I do think it's too early. I don't want to hear any Christmas music until I see Santa at the end of the Macy's Parade.
I do like Christmas music, however. But what I don't like is that although there must be a million Christmas music cds, it seems like the radio stations around here have a playlist of no more than 20 songs and within 1 day of driving around, I get sick of them.

I cannot abide listening to Christmas music until December, so I turn off any station that plays it before then. Then in December I listen to it for a few days, and get sick of it. I love Christmas, but I really only like traditional and classical Christmas music, not what they play on the radio. So I listen to CDs that I like.

Ok, off to watch a Christmas show so I don't feel like a scrooge

Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I CANNOT listen to Christmas music till Thanksgiving Day. If I do, I get so sick of it, that I'm not even in the holiday mood by the time it rolls around.

It's too soon. I'll be ready for it in December.

I let myself play my favorite Christmas CD once a day starting this week. I think it's the gloomy cold weather and bare trees that makes it make sense to me, but I'd never play this early with company over. It does make me want to start scrapping Christmas - I went through my supplies and ordered some more this week.

Too early for me. If I started listening to Christmas music now I'd be tired of it by Thanksgiving which, as it happens, is when I do start listening to it. BTW, I actually saw a Christmas commercial last week, and two tonight! Way too early to start the ad onslaught IMO.

I turned on Christmas music on Pandora, after reading this post, and after the first chords, I was like " I can't do it, I can't do it yet" and backed out gracefully. Lol.

No Christmas ANYTHING until after Thanksgiving.
I think bringing out songs, decorations, etc. too early makes them not as special.

I can go either way on the Christmas music - my DD likes to play it in the car once or twice for "Christmas in July" and she already bought a new Christmas CD for her collection (SugarLand) so we listened to it some this week. I like it more from the start of Thanksgiving week forward, to create that festive mood, but I also plan to do some early online shopping, browse for gift ideas online, do some Christmas scrapping this month - and I wouldn't mind hearing Christmas music while all this is happening.

When I'm making my Christmas cards, I always scrap to Christmas music, no matter what time of year. But I give it to myself in limited doses because months of Christmas music makes me crazed. But for finishing up in December, I always pull out the one I hold onto and don't listen to the rest of the year - Handel's "Messiah." With the insanity of finishing up my cards on time, that music calms me and centers me. Love it!

Not into after Thanksgiving/December 1st. That's when I really get in the spirit. I love Halloween so I think it deserves it's own time to shine. I spent October doing fall things and watching scary movies. I feel we rush, rush, rush sometimes that we forget the true meanings and don't enjoy them as much. One month per holiday seems fair.

I turned on the radio this morning and was disappointed that the Christmas music wasn't playing yet.
Some years the station I listen to waits till November 15th. I hope it starts sometime today though.

I do plan my Christmas cards, DD album and holiday activities in November. Eases the stress of December.

I adore everything about Christmas. I picked up the new christmas cd by the duck dynasty family on Tuesday and have been listening to it all week! And, my tree is up and decorated and I'm sitting here with my family watching A Boyfriend for Christmas on the Hallmark channel. Hallmark channel has officially started their Christmas programming and I love it. I know I'm in the minority, but it's ok!
Will I ever get to Buckethead?!

|Posted: 11/1/2013 9:05:29 PM|While revamping my scrap area I tackled my holiday scrap supplies and made them into coordinating kits. I admit I did turn on my favorite xmas cd for that project, but otherwise I really haven't encountered much in the way of holiday music yet.
That being said, the commissary every year gets in a small shipment of Schmidt lebkuchen tins around the holidays, but of course this year they got them in more than a month early So we snatched one before they sold out and I squirreled it away for christmas time. In the mean time my closet smells like German gingerbread
|Posted: 11/1/2013 9:05:32 PM|OP I was SO glad that it wasn't a complaint about it! DH and I keep a Christmas CD in vehicle and home ALL YEAR LONG and listen EVERY single day year round!I usually only keep to one or two tho so that at least some of them are a little more "new" to us by Christmas but even the year round ones are still awesome !
|Posted: 11/1/2013 9:44:37 PM|I like Christmas music, as long as it's at my own discretion. If I worked in a retail store I would probably hate it all the time.

I guess I'm kind of the odd ball. I love everything having to do with Christmas (more the religious aspect than the materialistic aspect)! Our tree goes up on Thanksgiving and it's like Christmas central at our house until new years. I will listen to Christmas music/movies all year round, and love doing Christmas in July (watch Christmas movies & bake some of our traditional Christmas type cookies). I will admit that some Christmas songs do get a little old rather quickly (but they're few and far between for me). To each their own on how they like to celebrate the holiday season.

yes please! And also a Canadian here. As soon as Halloween is over, bring on everything Christmas! We have already had our thanksgiving. Now to decide which Christmas move to watch first.
