What gets everyone in the scrapping mood? I haven't scrapped in a few months and i've really been thinking about starting again. I know we all experience these dry spells but The past few months have been so busy, i can't even think, none the less, scrap. So now that i've been trying to get my craft groove on, im starting to collect all kinds of ideas for getting in that mood. What does everyone else do? certain type of music, food, friends? I can't wait to see everyone's response.

I've been doing challenges lately to keep things fresh and interesting. I'm also working on my photography skills which is providing me with photos to work with and inspiring me with new ideas of how to scrapbook them.
Have fun getting back into the swing of things!

seriously, though, I go through cycles: create, downtime, acquire new supplies, / take photographs, then create again. For me, this entire cycle can take 4-6 months or longer to go through. (I currently don't scrap very often.) I just 'know' that I'll go through times when I won't feel like creating anything, and no matter how long these times last, they don't last forever.
For me, these cycles also go between art journaling and scrapbooking; I don't seem to do them both during the same timeframe, because the way I art journal is SO very different than the way I scrapbook.

For me, a new batch of printed photos totally gets me in the mood to scrap.
And buying something new, too. A new tool or a little scrappy embellishment or a paper pad. All makes me want to get started pronto.

when I need a boost I either watch scrapping videos or reorganize my stash. sometimes getting new photos printed will do it.
