I'm glad I don't offend your senses by posting my layouts here for you to judge. You scrapbook your way and I'll scrapbook mine. smh.

OP, copied before deletion:

What are your scrapping pet peeves? Mine...unless it is a title page for an album or you really have only one of the event, I am of the mind that an LO needs more than one photo. It drives me crazy to see all the LOs in the gallery with one picture. Far be it from me to tell anyone else how to scrap their stuff, but I would like to see more pages with multiple pictures.

And 2nd reply (sorry I
didn't get the 1st):

You know what screw it. That is why I don't post here much because there are people out there just waiting to post stupid crap back. I mean seriously! Maybe ya'll need some dang prozac. If you don't like what I said, move on to the next thread. $%^&

WOW! So you are stalking what I said and then reposting it because I deleted it. WOW! Seriously way to take things to an extreme. I posted my opinion and that is all. I never said anyone had to share that opinion or said anything bad about people who did one picture LO. I just said that I...again I don't like it. I am sure there are things that you DON'T LIKE. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. Nobody made you read the original thread. You chose to. So instead of being a stalker, if you don't like what is posted, move on to the next thread.

Honestly, I never would have posted this to begin with if I had even a small clue that some people would take this so dang seriously. That is why I deleted it. If people are offended, then I will take it off.

It's sort of an unofficial rule that subsequent posters copy and paste the OP on controversial threads because it's annoying when the OP deletes. And, for what it's worth...I almost always have more than one picture on my layout.

Thank you for the info. Sorry that people were offended. It wasn't meant to be offensive, just MY opinion. So, I deleted it because I thought it was dumb to have drama over something so little. I can totally understand had I specifically picked an LO from the gallery and said UGH! I hate this... I could see then why people would get offended. Or had I said...I don't like how this pea scraps...whatever but saying that I prefer to see more pictures on an LO. Come on people! If you like to scrap one pic, go on! I like shabby chic scrapping, some like more modern. It is all a preference. Not a statement or attack on a person to say you don't like to see SO MANY LOs with just one pic.

No matter what you write here, someone, somewhere, is going to be offended by it. There are a lot of seemingly benign topics that have started big thread-fights. This topic, since it's on a scrapping board and asks others to say something they don't like, is gonna be controversial, no matter who asks it, no matter how nice they ask it.

Your'e not the first person to start a thread like this, and I'm sure you won't be the last.

And yeah, copying original posts and saving them to repost later is pretty common. It's been going on for years, probably in response to original posters who would defend themselves by erasing the OP and then say, "I never said that!" Also to hold someone's feet to the fire and burn them a little longer even after they've apologized. Not that that happened in this case, but I've seen it happen on other threads.

I had no intention of being offensive. I never pictured someone getting so bent out of shape over a stated opinion. I like vanilla ice cream, you like chocolate. Doesn't mean that I am right and you are wrong, we just like different things.

Your post was only intended to start drama. We aren't idiots.

If you had actually intended to discuss this topic without offending anyone, the correct way to do it isn't to start a "what types of things do you hate?" thread but rather "what types of layouts do you love and want to see more of?" And then say "I love layouts with multiple photos."

What you did was say "I hate the way nearly half the peas here are scrapping today." How on earth could you think that wouldn't offend anyone?

Yeah that at all is not remotely what i said, but thanks for putting words in my mouth. You have your opinion that I said it to start drama, but that is just not the case. Personally I think YOU were the one who started the drama with your snarky crappy comment. But, hey I am all for freedom of speech. You have your opinion which you are entitled to and I have mine. I am done with this stupid petty crap and will just ignore you from now on. You are obviously one of those people who likes to look for any thread that can be taken the wrong way and use it as an excuse to be anonymously rude and crappy. But again, that is my opinion.

Just for clarification, for those who may have missed it...Here is what I posted originally:

What are your scrapping pet peeves? Mine...unless it is a title page for an album or you really have only one of the event, I am of the mind that an LO needs more than one photo. It drives me crazy to see all the LOs in the gallery with one picture. Far be it from me to tell anyone else how to scrap their stuff, but I would like to see more pages with multiple pictures.

No where did I say what types of LOs do you hate? Again, thanks for the lesson on how I should word things. Honestly, I still don't see what was so offensive, but it was a statement of opinion in fact, I even said that there were times that I do see doing a one pic LO. Whatever! In fact another point...pet peeve by definition according to google is an opportunity for complaint that is seldom missed. Yep that is what I did! I complained, but notice no where in the definition is the word hate used. Way to put meanings there where there are none! I am done with this thread.

Dear Stellintx

You should come over and play @ NSBR.
We *heart* strong opinions, snark, and hairflips.

"Honestly, I still don't see what was so offensive,"

If you mean it, really truely don't get it, here are some suggestions:

"It drives me crazy" and "Far be it from me to tell anyone else how" are very *strong* statements. And they are going to provoke strong responses.

Then when you get strong responses in return you immediately get all CAPITAL LETTER-Y and !!!!-y.

WOW! So you are stalking what I said and then reposting it because I deleted it. WOW! Seriously way to take things to an extreme. I posted my opinion and that is all. And bossy. You got a little bossy there. Also, there was a little name calling with the stalker thing.

It is your opinion and YOU are entitled to it. But if you want *other* people to exchange views with you ( I am going to assume that's why you posted this in the first place)
you might have more luck next time if you invite them in.

Try using friendlier language next time.
You know, to get a different outcome.

Look at the type of language the OP used in this thread that DIDN'T start a squabble and compare to yours:

I'll agree with SueSume.

Perhaps you didn't mean to start controversy but when you state a strong dislike ("Drives me crazy!!" ) for something that a lot of the readers of your post enjoy.......it's fairly easy to see that you'll get strongly worded replies. And when the majority read it the same way there's a good chance that perhaps that *is* the way it came across, despite your intentions.

There's no need to get all arsey, you came on strong and got it back in the same vein.

Have to also agree that you may well feel at home on the NSBR

Well to give my thoughts about the original question, I also scrap with more than one photo, unless I only have one photo. That is one reason I now scrap 8.5x11 because one photo layouts don't leave me as much space to deal with.

I remember back in the mid 2000's there was a move away from theme scrapping toward 'moments' layouts where we used one photo and some type of word like Inspire, Amazing, etc. I had way too many photos to get into this style but I did a few when I had a special photo.

Recently I came across some old instructions for layouts back in the early 2000's and there was lots of shape cropping, pretty much the way I learned to scrap and I've been trying to redo the pages I did back then. But I think the one photo layout was a response to that style of scrapping.

Since then some people decided they would never be able to scrap all their photos and decided to just scrap those special photos. Sometimes they have lots of journalling and lots of technique.

I also like the multi photo ideas although much of that these days is Project life type stuff. After all these years of scrapbooking, I like most styles but don't get much inspiration anymore because i have my own style that works for me. Still the gallery layouts that catch my eye are usually more than one photo, but the one photo issue has been discussed for a decade at this point. It's just another way to scrap. Another tool in the box so to speak.
