Title page:
Did you use the title pages included in your kit, or create your own?
Did you use photos?
What if anything did you want you first page to express

First page:
How are you handling this being a sort week?
What kind of pics / ideas are you including this week?
What supplies are you loving?

I was hoping to take a pic of the first sunrise of 2014, for my "hello 2014" title page, but forgot to set my alarm and totally slept through it, lol. I'll just get out there now and take one and write "Good morning 2014."

Happy New Year Peas!

For the title page in used cards from the blush kit (not all title page cards), and stamped them with Stamping Up stamps. I included the word create since it is my word of the year, and the scripture verse I am focusing on this year.

For week one, I want to include my resolutions. I am also going to come up with a bucket list with each of my kiddos. I thought they would be fun to look back on at the end of the year.

Ah, resolutions! I'll include just a few for fun to look back on too. I'm using Midnight kit, mixing in my own PP from stash. Will do a two page monthly instead of weekly.

I just finished my title page, it is very simple using what i have (how I plan on completing the entire album). I just did two photos (one of our family from last month and one of my two boys from yesterday), then added 2014 one number per box across the middle and a quote in another corner with our name in opposite. For the first week I did number it january1-5 but included a photo from yesterday. I will take a photo later of my sons playing pond hockey.

I added my first page to the gallery here. I used the Honey kit total pages and then added in some embellishments of my own. I like how the page turned out overall.

As for my first week, I have started out with a picture of the odometer in my car. That's usually the first and last picture in my album. I like seeing how far I've come in a year. I also took a picture of my house like I do at the beginning of every month. We went to see Frozen today so a picture of my daughter in front of the movie poster and our ticket stubs will go there. And that means I'm already done with the first page of my first week. I'm on fire! Lol

Lilac, I love your title page! Nice and bright, but not overwhelming.

I just picked a large assortment of the PL pages and kits. I am not doing it week by week because I don't find my daily happenings as interesting since my kids are both grown. I think this way will be so much easier to keep our months and happenings up to date. In fact, I am thinking that my first page to do will be our Christmas this year using a couple of cards the two pictures we took, lol.

Lorri

Also I am not as happy with the paper designs as they are kind of dull in color. I can see using my own papers and cutting them to size for the pages. Not as quick and easy but having a template will help.

Are you planning do you weekly spread once you get all your photos or in bits and pieces?

Right now I am doing mine in bits and pieces. I have jotted down my resolutions and the kids list of things they want yo do. And, made a card for seeing Saving Mister Banks.

I'm using this planner by Traci Reed to help me organize and plan for my spreads. I do a 2 page weekly spread, running Monday-Sunday. Obviously the first and last weeks are shortened because I do Jan 1-Dec 31. I finished my title page yesterday and you can see it on my blog with links to products I used. I am going digital for 2014 to hopefully make my life a little easier.

I just put my title page up on my blog. It's my first go at this so I am a little nervous about keeping up but I really want a scrapbook of all the simple daily things in life...

I completed my Title Page today. I'm pleased with it for the most part, but noticed I started with one color scheme and then mid way through began with another. Oh well, not going to worry about it now. I'll post tomorrow in the gallery.

I like to wait until the end of the year and put my favorite photos in the title page. So my title page just holds filler cards until the bitter end.

So now that I am working on my 2013 title page, I will move the place-holder cards over to my 2014 album.

Just had got set up through valentines week. Doing a page for every week and every now and then do a spread. I have so many different kits from PL that I want to use them all so for every spread I use any kit but it has to coordinate. So for the title page I used the and folic title cards, 1st spread 5th and folic, 2nd honey and so on. That way I can use different kits but keep it looking nice. Excited about capturing my families daily life and doing project life for the first time. Hope I don't get overwhelmed bc I am doing my sons first year using the baby kit and I have my other 2 kids that need books too.

Thanks, Karen! I'm using the Honey kit. I am writing a post for my blog about the page. It'll go up tomorrow (1/6).
