I have to say I am finding Two Peas a little strange lately. I know Jamie left and she was amazing but would they not have found someone to take her place? Surely she gave some kind of notice. It's just a heap of little things but it feels like something has changed behind the scenes.

I understand that a CHA social takes a tonne of work but it would have been nice to at least have someone doing videos of new products like Jamie used to do.

There are other little things like no one responding to questions about the CHA social prior even though there were numerous posts, really a "sorry we aren't able to do it this time" would have been fine. Also where are the January printables? The new video line up this year is OK but it doesn't seem as organised as last year and even though it has been explained I still don't really get it (but that could just be me!).

I'm hoping everything is OK behind the scenes because Two Peas is such an awesome place to hang out, find resources as well as to purchase from.

I'm another that's missing all of the "little things" that made this community great for so many years. I'm hoping things will return to a semblance of normalcy sooner rather than later. Although it does appear that there will be fewer videos this year versus last year, I can understand that if the videos weren't helping to drive up sales (and this is what I inferred from the blog post explaining the new schedule), they would not expand as much time and energy into them this year. However, I would hope we would see that time shifted to another aspect of the site. So far, I don't feel that has been the case.
I have to say that this doesn't come as a complete surprise. I feel that losing Jamie was a case of "not knowing what you have 'til it's gone". I have a feeling her duties and responsibilities were under-appreciated or the impact of them was underestimated. Two Peas wouldn't be the first to be guilty this. It's something I've seen many times in my work experience.
I do hope this weekend helps to bring the point across of just how much communication is needed.

I agree - Jamie leaving has been a giant detriment to the site. I would expect that the product videos (both weekly and CHA) really helped to drive sales but maybe I am wrong.

Yes, I think it's better for a company to be forthcoming/to communicate with customers. Otherwise, it leaves space for a lot of speculating and general negativity. Even if the answer is "no" or "we've had to cut back" that's better IMHO than silence and customers who may feel ignored.

I would think the product videos drove sales also... I know there are many things that ended up in my cart after seeing them IRL on a video. I miss those videos

Jamie's replacement should be starting soon! She certainly has big shoes to fill, as did Jamie when Melanie left..

Laura,
Thanks for letting us know that there is at least a plan to replace Jamie.

I do very much appreciate your stepping up but will say again that it isn't your responsibility. (I said the same thing when Jen stepped up to let us know that indeed, there would be nothing here for CHA).

An announcement from TPTB would have been nice. There have been many posts since the announcement that Jamie was leaving asking about a replacement, asking about CHA, asking about why Peamail is still not working. The perception is that the place is in shambles and no one except the Garden Girls care. It is not a good feeling.

Two Peas doesn't owe us anything, but they have set expectations and CHA was one of those things so to let it pass without mention feels very wrong. I thank Stephanie and Jen for stepping up and turning some of the disappointment into fun.

I'll second this, I logged in to start responding to threads so I could get some CHA 14 flair and was disappointed

Thank you for letting us know Laura, I appreciate it.

In regards to the CHA product videos the last ones did actually get me buying more product because you get a better idea of items rather than just a flat photo (or worse those digital filler things).

Wow - I didn't even know Jamie left!!!

I was pretty disappointed with the CHA thing, but it us what it is.

As far as the videos - this week there was 4... I know there was more last year, but that included 5 under 5, and what the peanut ordered... So wasn't there only 4 actual scrapping videos anyway?

Brooklyn the weekly videos are cool, I just don't understand it yet.
I was talking more about the CHA ones where they show the product, they are the ones that really persuade me to buy things and if other people are like me (maybe they aren't) it would be a good business decision. But maybe they are more work than they are worth if they don't help sales.

This is my go to site every CHA. It has been for many years. I didn't even know CHA was this weekend. I thought it was next. I kept waiting for TwoPeas to start the CHA sub-forum. I know it's a little thing. I really don't expect them too have it every time CHA comes around. I can't help feeling a bit down because it was a fun tradition. I keep thinking maybe 2Peas didn't do anything CHA this year because the show is so short this year and CHA changed their format last Summer.

I would love to purchase more from 2Ps, but it's hard for me to spend product money with them. I recognize that they can't compete with big box stores, but for me the shipping is really a big deal. It's really a turn off that sale items don't count towards free shipping. I end up abandoning my cart all the time because I can't get it up to $50 of things that I want without any sale items.

I try to buy classes to support the site.

There aren't many places to buy scrapbooking products anymore, let alone anything new.

I can't imagine why TwoPeas is missing this opportunity to drive their sales. I know they got a lot of sales last couple of CHA's because of all the attention they showed to the new products.

smh

I am really missing the CHA new product information. I've been to CHA and it is an awesome show and I think 2 peas missed an opportunity to not share the new scrapbook and art items with their customers. Hope to see it next year.

I'm thinking this will result in lost sales.

Totally! A lot of people like me aren't really looking for new stuff, but if we see it and like it here, we're more tempted to actually buy it.

I would imagine they've been pretty busy with the Project Life deal and implementation. And maybe they're really going to focus on those sales now so CHA wasn't as important (or they just didn't have time)?

Before I heard the PL news, I was really worried and wondering but now it kinda' makes sense.

Still someone writing a quick post letting us know that due to the multitude of changes and the lack of a coordinator there will be no CHA activities would be a pretty simple thing to do...

I hope they are not going to be focusing mostly on pl, if that is so, it is a sad day for me. It will be a loss of revenue for 2 ps as I will have less to purchase from here
