I bought a wood grain background stamp, because it seems most of the famous people say it's a "must have" Well I now have it, and I'm staring at it wondering just what to do with it. Anyone care to share what you've done with your wood grain background stamp? Thanks

I make my own tone on tone wood grain paper in any color I want to match my page. If you like wood grain paper, think of being able to have a wood grain paper to match all your favorite paper lines. I use versa mark, or white inks a lot with this stamp.

I used one to stamp on some letters I die cut for a camping page. They turned out really cute. The stamp I have isn't very large and I would love to get a larger background stamp.

Valentines Day card: Nuts about you..has a squirrel (die cut) sitting on a branch (sizzix die cut) in front of the wood grain "tree" with a red jewel heart nested into the tree knot.

To other Peas, thanks for the ideas also. I like the tone on tone idea alot. Our family camps alot so the wood grain letters will be for certain.

Who doesn't love a good woodgrain stamp. I especially love the newer ones with the little hearts it it. Super cute. I use woodgrain stamps mostly as a layer in the background, before I place my layered pp and picture on top. Stamp and punch out different shapes for layering elements.
Loving all the ideas I've seen hear.
Now to take out my wood grain stamps, I've missed them.

I like to stamp those small brown(3x4)bags--great for holding journaling cards or tags.
