Welcome to our thread, we are so glad that you are here. If you are looking for a way to make 2 Peas feel smaller and to really get to know some new scrapbooking friends, feel free to jump in and join us, we would be so glad to have you. Each month, we post a couple of challenges, so feel free to join in on our challenges and post those projects and any others that you do, we love the inspiration. We are chatty and we love to encourage each other as we scrap by praising each others layouts. We'll be posting various challenges each month to prompt us to scrap and everyone is welcome to add a challenge, a game or just chat along with us. So grab a cup of coffee and join us!

This month we are bringing you more challenges than you'll know what to do with because May brings us quite a few reasons to celebrate. Some of these events you may not be aware of and we certainly wouldn't want you to miss out so one of the challenges for this month is to pick a date (or more than one) from the following list and do a layout to show how you celebrated.

50 Challenges in a handy dandy list!
1. May Day; Mother Goose Day; Save the Rhino Day
2. Brothers and Sisters Day; International Tuba Day
3. Lumpy Rug Day; World Press Freedom Day
4. Stars Wars (May the 4th be with you); Renewal Day and more importantly for us: National Scrapbooking Day (2P's will have challenges too)
5. Cinco de Mayo; National Hoagie Day; Oyster Day
6. National Nurses Day; No Diet Day; Beverage Day; National Teacher's Day; National Tourist Appreciation Day
7. National Tourism Day; School Nurse's Day
8. No Socks Day
9. Lost Socks Day (in case you misplaced them yesterday)
10. Clean Up Your Room Day (to look for socks no doubt)
11. Mother's Day; Eat What You Want Day (probably cause Mom ain't cooking)
12. Limerick Day
13. Frog Jumping Day
14. Dance Like a Chicken Day (come on do this one)
15. National Chocolate Chip Day; National Police Officer's Memorial
16. Wear Purple for Peace Day
17. Armed Forces Day; Pack Rat Day
18. No Dirty Dishes Day; Visit your Relatives Day
19. Boy's Club Day
20. Be a Millionaire Day (no tips on how to make that one happen)
21. National Waiters and Waitresses Day
22. Buy a Musical Instrument Day
23. Lucky Penny Day
24. National Escargot Day; International Jazz Day
25. Tap Dance Day
26. Memorial Day
27. Sun Screen Day
28. Amnesty International Day
29. Learn About Composting Day
30. Water a Flower Day; Save Your Hearing Day; World No Tobacco Day

For the Scrapbook & Cards Today PageMaps Challenges use this sketch as your inspiration.

This misting prompt is also from the calendar.

Debi's Challenge for the month:

Spring is full of bursting colors, but for your digi challenge she wants you to alter a photo to B&W and use bright colors (as many as you want) to accent it.

Remember just because she dabbles in digi, doesn't mean you have to. All styles of projects welcome.

Toni is providing two sketches that she has found to get you motivated. Use the whole sketch or just let it inspire the layout to take on a life of it's own.

If that's not enough challenges to get you motivated, check back because we'll add more as the month goes by.

Here's the link for last month if you want to go back and see the fantastic stuff that you may have missed. April thread

oh, thanks Theresa for doing this.
I'll send a sketch tonight when I get home.
It's been a rough week with the testing, and
I'm really tired today. At least it's the last
day, and hopefully not a lot of make-ups.

Be back later.

Nylene, Theresa - thanks for the kind words about
the loss of those two young men. Kevin went to
a fundraiser last night for one of them. A huge
amount of people turned out, and they raised a
decent amount of money, too.

Ok, gotta run.

Love you all.

Well my lawnmower woes aren't over. Went out to mow today and I couldn't keep it cranked. Evidently I've done something to the seat and when I pull it up far enough for me to reach the pedal it won't recognize my weight on the seat so the motor dies. Randy had to get off his lazy butt and mow the yard. On second thought, maybe this is a good thing.

Theresa, wish I could send you a little of my extra weight to add to the seat so you could mow....or...maybe it's a good thing for Randy to do it.

Hugs, Toni!

Thinking we're going to have to change our group name again. This is the least chatty group I've seen.

Nylene, I'm hoping that my brother can adjust the seat on the new mower easily if not I think I may take it back. Randy mows too fast and the yard doesn't cut evenly. Of course, I could just expect him to do it correctly but I think I have a better chance at David fixing it. I mowed fine last week, not sure what happened to make it not work for me this week. I weigh the same, LOL.

Headed to the Spring band concert for Jackson. Randy's at the visitation for Caleb, making sure the music is going. We'll both go back in the morning. He'll do the sound and I'll sit and try to deal with a fireman funeral, first one I've had to do since my Dad's.

Happy May Day!

Michelle - I had to chuckle at your last post in the April thread. You mentioned being cold at 60 degrees. Here in SD when it hits 60 in the spring everyone breaks out the shorts and flip flops!

I wish National Scrapbook day were in April or winter! They didn't do anything on Two Peas last year if I remember correctly. Looks like there are some plans coming.

I'm sad - my favorite local scrapbook store has changed owners. The lady who has owned it was fabulous. The name is changing and I'm not sure what will be happening with the store. I don't get there more than once or twice a year but I still loved it. Will have to see.

Watching Grey's Anatomy. I'm liking this story for Christina.

Later all!

I was hoping to come here today to find some really fun challenges for NSD at 2peas. Instead they have announced 3 which are nothing but ads for 2peas. I plan to scrap anyway, but I think I'll look elsewhere for inspiration.
Do you all have any fun plans for NSD?

Theresa - sent you some sketches for May.
Let me know if you don't get them. Remember
it comes under Larry Archer, not me.

Nylene - Turtle Soup has some fun stuff going on if you want to
stop by there. See if this link works:

I haven't looked at the NSD challenges yet but since they didn't do anything last year at all I don't think I'm not expecting much.

Funeral went as well as can be expected. It made for a really long day. I got there at 8:30 and didn't get home til after 2:30. My sister-in-law's Dad died this morning (my brother's wife's Dad) right before Caleb's funeral started so they had to leave. Her Dad had been ill with cancer and not doing well but they didn't expect him to die today. My niece had moved her wedding up from October to June so he could hopefully be there. My brother and his wife were really close to Caleb so poor Amanda, it's like she lost a child and a Daddy in the same week. Keep her and my nieces and nephew in your prayers.

Enough sad news, going to go get my stuff together for my scrapbook crop.

Nylene, one of the GG said they're not going to post the NSD challenges until tomorrow and that there should be around 10 of them.

Hi Sweet Peas!!!

Theresa - Thanks so much for posting the thread, I really appreciate it! I'm bummed that I'm not home for NSD, but will try to do some of the challenges when I get home. I really like some of the challenges, I just told Ron the other day that I'm going to fix my scanner or get a new one so that I can post stuff again.

I'm in Boca Raton, it's beautiful here! I've never been here before, but it's lovely and it's been 80+ degrees which makes me happy, it's been so cold at home. The conference that I'm attending has been kind of crappy, but on it goes. It's put on my Office Depot's Foundation, so we thought that it would be good, but most of the speakers have just been okay. Annie, my co-worker, and I went out to a Tapas restaurant tonight, it was really nice. She has been really good company, so I've enjoyed that part of the trip and I needed to slow down for a minute, so that's been good too.

I hope that you are all doing well. I'll try to check in again before I go home on Monday.

Tina, enjoy the sunshine. It was only 52 today here so I'm sure it was colder in Indy. Supposed to warm up tomorrow and be in the 80's next week.

The NSD challenges are up and you all should be able to do some of them. Some are only going to be possible if you purchase 2P's stuff (that's okay, they are a business) but there's even a scraplift one. Never hurts to try, might win something.

Didn't get to spend the day scrapping after all. Trish needed me to get the dogs from the kennel so I started out there, went to try and find a suitable gift for my SIL for her Dad's funeral, couldn't find anything local, ended up in Owensboro. Found a metal fire hydrant, added a potted Lilly and they can use it later for her daughter's fireman themed wedding. Also found some flowers for the wedding. Went to the greenhouse, got plants for Joyce's window box. Went to her house and planted them. Then took her over to my other aunt's home where her kids are cleaning it out to auction it off (Aunt Ruby will never leave the nursing home and they all know it). It was tough. Came home and crashed on the couch.

Did do a digi layout though and it features the fire truck that I helped create for the parents of the young fireman that died.

Memorial Fire Truck (link)

I did the recipe NSD challenge.

Headed to bed.

Hey girls...

I didn't scrap much either, Theresa. Came home blah from
work. I did do the scraplift page, but I'm afraid I wasn't
really into it and it took a very long time.

Since I put in for the new schedule at JoAnns, I don't work
there again 'til Wednesday. So today I have some errands
to run, and I'll see if scrappin' works for me today.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Nothing from me for NSD Worked both yesterday and today at the store. Went to church last night then too tired afterwards. I may go and see what I have sitting out on my table a little later tonight. No guarantee that I'll get anything done though. I'm really not a "challenge" girl. I seem to end up doing my own thing instead of what the challenge says to do except for sketches.
Still cold here and cold in the store.

Hi there! over on nsbr, people are wondering what is going on at Peas headquarters!
I only know that I do get emails for shopping here.

things are pretty good! We spent 9 days in Hawaii, which was of course beautiful...especially when we were hanging out at our friends' home/farm.

we are getting lots of time to be with our grandson, who will be 5 in June! gosh, I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday.

otherwise, we are also going to Yosemite...and that will be hard as we will see first hand the immense damage from the Rim Fire. Hopefully, we will have been prepared enough ...and of course our beloved family camp is gone, and maybe hopefully will be back in 4 years.

I may never figure out how to post pictures,

hugs, Lindy from NCal.

Lindy, glad you are had a good time in Hawaii, can't imagine NOT having a good time in Hawaii but you never know. I'm sure seeing the camp you loved gone will be tough. Be sure and scrap your photos so we can see your adventures.

Melanie, hope you got some scrapping in but if I were you I think I would have just went to sleep!

Toni, hurray for a few days off at least one of your jobs.

Tina, be careful coming back to the real world.

Nylene, did you get any NSD scrapping done?

Debi, since we haven't heard from you I'm going to assume you're sick again. Since that pneumonia never let up it doesn't surprise me. Hope you're better soon. Let us know how you're doing.

HAVE to get off this computer and get with it. Must get this nasty house picked up this morning and go back to Hartford for my SIL's Dad's funeral after lunch. Also need to pick up some cash or a present for the 6 year old across the street's birthday party tonight. I had to make pop up box cards for him and his little sister's birthday party which is Wednesday (not done with hers yet) because I made one for Orion last week. (Remind me next year to not make anything time consuming for their older brother's birthday, LOL!)

Lindy and all. Just a warning. It may not be a good idea to even speculate about what is going on. Trust me, lesson learned. Haven't received the banned letter yet, but it will probably come today. My missing bookmarks initiated it. TPTB weren't happy with me. I'm keeping my mouth shut.

Nylene did you get your bookmarks back?

All I've read says that 2P's is in the process of being sold again. TPTB made it clear with their last big change that they didn't care whether people liked what they did or not. If they fail, that's where the blame needs to lie. I sure miss Jeff and Kristina running it. When they left so did the heart.

Lindy, you have to upload your photos by making them less than 500 mg so you need a photo editing program unless you can take photos with your phone. The 2P's ap lets you load them from there. Of course, it really doesn't do a lot of good to upload them, few people bother to make comments on them anymore. It's sad. They have the "quick look" option so people will open the layouts but don't say anything. I miss the sweet comments.

Funeral took most of the day. On the way to the funeral I found out that my friend Kim's Dad died. Contacted as many as I could while driving. Trish ordered some food from us and another friend (we went in together) from a local restaurant and I picked it up and took it to them after I got back from the cemetery. Visited for a little bit and then had to hurry home to get Roland's present to him before his party. Too worn out to stay, came in cooked and am now on the couch where I plan to stay til bedtime!

Theresa, my bookmarks did come back several days ago. I posted an update to let people know they weren't gone for good. But today, 10 days after I inquired, I received a not happy email from Jeff. I think he and Kristina have owned it through the past few years of "whiteness ", loss of all digital stuff, etc. But I won't speculate. I've been hand slapped enough for today!

Hey girls -

just running by to say hi. We have off from school today
because they're doing a mid-season vote and our school is
one of the places they vote! Although I usually vote, I'm
staying in and enjoying the rest!

A lot going on around here though...Found out yesterday that
Meagan is pregnant. Not sure where I am on this...she is so
happy I want to be happy for her, but this is not the life
I wanted for her. But it's her life, so I'm backing off.
Brian is a pretty good guy, he's a good father, just not a
great provider...oh, well. can't have it all I guess.
I will probably have to add some hours at J's over the
summer, or try another place for a job seeing that J's is
so far away. Something closer would be nice. Maybe Kohl's.
I'm just thinking out loud. Larry is so frustrated...he
can't find a job to save his life. It's sad really; and
he knows how frustrated I get. They're really doing a
disservice to older people in this country. Especially
since for the most part we're the ones who know how to work!

ok, off my ladder and stepping down.

Tina - Boca is not far from where we lived. We used to shop
down there often, especially at the Town Centre mall when it was
first put up. I loved the beach at Delray. We used to go there
and then go to Bostons for lunch or a drink. It wasn't as crowded
there as it was in other places. Boca is more of an
upscale and snobbish community compared to a lot of others around
there. Who knows though, maybe things have changed. I do miss
the beach a lot though. There used to be a scrapbook store
in Lake Worth (don't know if it's still there or not), which was
about 30-40 minutes north of Boca.

Nylene - I'm sorry you got your hand slapped. I didn't see anything
wrong in what you were saying, but then again, I haven't read
everything. Glad you got your bookmarks back though. I sure hope
that whatever is happening, it doesn't send even more people away;
we've lost too many as it is.

Theresa - you are such a wonderful friend and neighbor. I wish you
could send everyone in the world a piece of your huge heart so they
could be even a fraction of the good you are. Bless you, girl.

Well, I did scrap. Instead of doing more of the challenges here,
which were a little difficult compared to other sites, I spent most
of my NSD time at Turtle Soup. They're challenges were a lot more
easier to handle for me since I'm still a fairly simple scrapper
compared to a lot of it nowadays. I did do the sketches that I
put up here, and I'll post them later. Right now I need to go get
something done. I've already been on here way too long, LOL.

Have a super-de-duper day, girls.

Hi!

I am new to the board. I was on several years ago but got involved elsewhere. I did check in on NSD and finished a layout for one challenge. I am active on a few other boards and did 2 other challenges from other boards.

The past year has been a complete upheaval for us and expensive. Trying to stay afloat right now. Scrapping helps me forget my problems.

Hi and WELCOME Shoorn! We always like some new folks dropping in.

THERESA you are right. I'm sick again. The doctor (a new one that took days of being on the phone with the new healthplan) says she doesn't think I have pneumonia again but definitely a sinus infection, heavy allergies and on top of having 2 teeth pulled, where one seems to be healing and the other maybe a dry socket(very sore and throbbing still after 5 days). I'm on 2 antibiotics, an allergy meds and pain meds (although I had to stop taking the Tylenol/codeine combo as it was making me dizzy enough not to be able to stand). And of course the same day I had all of this determined, my son needed to go to urgent care (he has a minor hairline fracture and sprain of his knee) but we had to find a special brace for him also (another interesting feat with the new healthcare plan), since they still haven't resolved the issues that the 2 PCP Doctors assigned to the boys, one is retired and the other is an autism specialist working somewhere other than the clinic they assigned. So still struggling with all of that. One step ahead, two steps behind. So now I'm taking my kids to/from school for the time being as Noah can't walk to school for awhile. Never a dull moment in my life.

I've done no scrapbooking. I've done very little to be exact. A lot of sleeping, except when I have to be up to be taxi for the kids.

Glad you guys are holding it together here. THANKS THERESA for starting the thread. Lots of fodder to pick from, huh?

Taking a much needed break, thought they might have winners posted for NSD but they don't. Doubt I'll win anything anyway, just did one layout but I at least followed the directions for the recipe challenge so that should count for something. I didn't have time to do any of the other ones, too complicated for a rushed weekend. Only did one of the chats too. I need to figure out which ones of the digi layouts I've posted that I haven't printed and make sure I have them on my computer in case they shut this place down. 2P's was my backup!

Toni, guess I'll say congrats on being a pending grandmother since that's what is coming. I understand the mixed emotions. Also totally understand the frustration over not being able to find a job!

Shoorn (or whatever your name is) welcome.

Debi, geesh! What a mess! Hope the meds work to fix you up soon, maybe the rest of the stuff will be easier to deal with.

I got the hair brained idea to resurface my wooden porch today. Also thought (who knows why) I could get the window trim painted on at least the front of the house, get laundry done and finish two birthday cards. Well needless to say it all ain't done! Finished one card this morning. Got the porch resurfaced and the double window in front of the house painted. My arms hurt way too much to have to climb on a ladder to do the other two front windows. Trying to keep the neighbor's cat off the porch while it's drying and then have to put the furniture back on. It looks so much better. I just went to the local store and bought the resurfacer, didn't work as well as the brand Jeremy bought but I didn't have to drive 25 miles one way to get to the Lowes.

THERESA, sounds like you got oodles done. Just what goes in a resurfacing job? Is it a paint on medium? I'm clueless. I need to power wash my deck and then do something to it (waterproof it-IDK). Not even looking forward to the job.

I got some Japanese translation done today, but that about does it for me other than a bit of laundry.

I just lost a whole big long post when I tried to link the 2 layouts I made for NSD. So maybe I'll try to make it in 2 posts. Arrrgh!

Theresa, maybe my over abundant body would look more like your tiny one if I had even half of your energy. Congrats on getting so much done. You are soooo ambitious! Any word on the job yet?

Welcome Shoorm! You'll fit right in here perfectly. Seems like lots of the Chatty Scrappers have had some rough times, expensive and depressing times the past couple of years. I know I feel better when I'm scrapping. Tell us a little about yourself.

Tina, sounds like a fun weekend. You have worked so hard this year that you deserve a fun shopping trip in the warmth!

Debi, I'm sorry you are dealing with so many medical issues at once again. I'm afraid this is the wave of the future as this new healthplan gets up and going. It worries me. How's you son's knee?

Toni, I know you are excited to become a grandmother, but I'm sure this was not what you (or they) had in mind. My heart aches for all of you with the other issues going on. I wish all those jobs near Melanie could be moved down to you guys, Theresa, and Debi. Hugs and prayers for all of you. I hope Meagan is feeling well and is still able to work for a while. You just can't keep working 20 hours a day anymore!!!! I don't know how you keep going.

Lindy, congrats on the Hawaii trip. If you want to post a photo in the middle of a post, it has to be hosted at someplace else like Photobucket.
From there, someone with more computer savvy will have to walk you through it.

Melanie, it is warming up there? I'm not much of a challenge person either unless it is so open that just about anything counts! That's how the Stashbusters thread is and the 2 I made for NSD fit those also.

Christmas Mustaches??

Love @ Home

Haven't heard anything more about being in trouble at 2peas, so maybe I won't be banned after all. You all know what a meanie I can be!

Oh I'm stiffer this morning than I'd like to be!

Debi, the resurfacing stuff is a REALLY thick mixture of paint and what I'm sure is a concrete style mix. It seeps into the cracks of wood or concrete sealing them to strengthen as well as cover with new color. You can get it tinted in different colors. Jeremy stayed with the redwood look his deck had and I went with a sandstone color to match the sandy color in part of the bricks on my house. Randy said it looks like the front porch is a giant sandbox.

Here's the porch before:

and after (not quite the same angle but you'll get the change except it is a sand colored and not gray that it looks like on my screen)

Have to get an application filled out for my church secretary position and get it dropped off (yes, down to filling out job applications that aren't nursing and pay less than half but it's dayshift, no holidays or weekends). Also HAVE to go see my Aunt that's in the nursing home before she disowns me, finish laundry and pick up some caulking for the remaining windows. Have to go to Owensboro tomorrow morning for my friend Kim's Dad's funeral and rain coming in Friday so only have the next two afternoons of this week to get anymore outdoor work done.

Winners are posted, none of us got anything. A lot of the winners only have a few layouts posted at all so that should encourage them to scrap more.

Went ahead and uploaded the two box cards I made for the kids across the streets birthdays. Roland turned six on Monday and Alora turned 4 today. I made their older brother one for his birthday last Thursday so they both had to have one of their own. Glad the cards are fun to make and easy to personalize.

hi- it's hard to be not feeling well again but I think I am going to be all right to enjoy our Yosemite trip starting this Monday!

Nylene- I think that I may have the energy to post pics one of these days, and thanks for the initial tips.

Suffice to say that our grandson is still just a beautiful almost 4 year old! We really didn't take many pictures this year in HI, but my DH took a great video of the ocean and some falls on the road to Hilo. The Big Island is a great place, but we love Kauai too.

When I said I'd post the thread I didn't mean I'd be the only one posting on it. Almost half the posts are mine (not even counting the first one)! Someone's reading, the thread count goes up but you all need to start posting or this thread is history.

Theresa, I'm still posting. Just swamped with Cubs and getting ready to go to CA next week. I haven't been banned yet, so I'm still posting! I love what you did with your deck. We did ours last year, a redwood look since it is redwood and it looks nice still this year. It's just a tiny deck, outside the back door and has stairs down from the upper level. But it's a lot of work. I'm proud of you and your energy!!

How's Paula doing? If you ever see Diane, tell her hello. Is she still working at your old job place?

Linda, sorry you are not feeling well. Hope you begin to feel better soon.

Today's my day to totally clean the house and get the washing done. I don't leave until Tues. but have things going every day. I hate to go off leaving the house in a mess for DH. So I'd better get moving.

Waving hello to all you Chatty Scrappers. Come chat when you can.

Hey there Sweet Peas!!!

I am so glad that the weekend has arrived! I had such long days at work this week, so I had a 3 o'clock meeting out of the building this afternoon and left after it was done. I knew that if I went back in the building I'd be stuck there again. I have to go to an event tomorrow night, so I am glad to get home a bit early today. We have the air conditioner repair guy here now, our central air is out. I'm hoping that won't be crazy expensive, our tractor also decided not to work this spring, so we need to have that fixed too.

Toni - Congratulations! Even if the circumstances aren't the best, I know that you will enjoy being a Grandma. Baby cuddles are the best.

Boca has not changed at all, it is still a really upscale place. We were in Palm Springs part of the time too, which is also pretty fancy for my taste. I did like riding around in a Jaguar, I've never been in one of those before, the back seat was like a really nice couch, I felt like I was riding around in a living room.

Theresa - I hope that the application with the church goes well. You'd be really good at it, even if it's not nursing. I can't believe what a hard time you've had trying to find work. It's really sad that it has gotten to be that difficult for a good worker to find a place to be. Also, I think your deck looks great, you always get so much done...I'm amazed.

Debi - I hope that you get to feeling better soon!

Shoorn - Welcome! Glad to have you stop by, feel free to hang out with us.

Nylene - I hate that Jeff wasn't nice to you. You haven't said a thing that I saw that wasn't nice. They are probably just under a lot of pressure, things here have been a little concerning lately, I'm sure they are tired of having us point that out to them. There have been a lot of complaints on the MB lately.

Anywho, we don't have tons planned this weekend, which is REALLY nice. We aren't meeting up with my Mom for Mother's Day until Wednesday, she wanted us to wait until Olivia gets home, we pick her up from school on Tuesday evening.

I hope you all have a nice day. I'm going to try to spend some time uploading some pics to get them printed. I haven't printed anything in months, so I need to do that so that I can play. I really need to get my computer fixed too. I haven't been able to use it in months, so I can't scan or anything.

Take care all!

Tina

Hi everyone!

Wow, can't believe we are almost half-way through May. We had a lovely time at the beach last week. It was sunny though not hot, sop the boys were on the beach most of the time. I managed to read 3 books in 5 days. Can anyone say lazy?

I needed the break, though, because the sale of the pharmacy is driving me insane. The people who are interested in buying it just can't seem to get their act together to get contracts in place, etc. and I'm running out of time. So I've put out new feelers yesterday to maybe find an alternative and, wow, the reaction has been quite amazing. I thought it was difficult to give a pharmacy away at the moment, let alone sell, but seems I was wrong. Have suddenly got 2 other interested parties, so now need to see where I can get the best deal.

It's just frustrating. I had hoped to have everything sorted by now. The news that I might be selling has also leaked out and many patients are asking questions. Not fun having to explain 20 times a day I'm not sure what is happening yet, but they will be looked after. Suppose that's what happens when you are a part of the community for more that 10 years. My motivation and positivity (my word) is just at an all time low.

Shoon - welcome. As you can see from the above, I know exactly what you mean.

Debi - so sorry you are ill again, but it's good news it's not pneumonia again. That tooth sounds bad though. And Noah's knee. It never rains but it pours, hey?

Theresa - I love the new look of your porch. I'm always amazed at what you do in one day. A project like that would probably take me two weekends to do

Nylene - Glad you haven't been banned. Nothing you said was deserving of that. And so happy you got your bookmarks back. Remember to go save them to your computer now.

I did manage to scrap a little but haven't posted yet. Kyle's 6th birthday is on Tuesday and we are having his party tomorrow. We are having a Grand Prix party at a party venue, so no cleaning up for me I will be busy with the party packs and cake this afternoon though.

Have a great Mother's Day tomorrow. Hope you get spoilt by your kids and those who are still lucky enough to have their Mom's, spoil them too.

Happy Saturday all (well happy whatever day it is in South Africa Michelle)

We had some massive storms blow through last night. Thankfully the worst hit to the North of us. Thinking they went between me and Tina. No tornadoes, but over 70 mph winds, tore the roofs off homes, etc. Anyway, the big storm went through there first so when the lightning started again after 11 p.m. I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep til it was over. Randy came and woke me up after 9 a.m. Said he was worried, I never sleep that long.

Michelle, sounds like it was a good thing those other buyers drug their feet (no pun intended but left because it made me chuckle). Maybe you can get a better price if they have a bidding war. Understand the customers questions, they've come to depend on you. Just keep reassuring them that you want to sell to someone that will continue to provide optimal care. When Jeremy left the pharmacy he was at to go to the one he's in now he wasn't allowed to tell people he was leaving but word got out anyway. His favorite customers were sad and many switched pharmacies to go with him (thus the reason he wasn't supposed to tell). He said several people came to Wal-Mart after he left and fussed at him for not telling them goodbye.

Tina, hope the air conditioner guy got your unit fixed. Supposed to be cooler the next few days but won't last.

Nylene, your layout featuring the returning grandson gave me more appreciation of the Jehovah Witness kids commitments that come knocking on my door. Didn't realize that they were away from home for so long. Well actually, since I put the Second Baptist sticker on my car, they usually turn around in the driveway and don't knock here at all anymore but you know what I mean.

Debi, bet you're at your Mom's this weekend. Hope you feel better.

Waving hi to Toni, Melanie, Lindy, Wanda and Shoon (if you're still with us), and anyone else that may be lurking.

hi all. Not at Mom's yet, but will be tomorrow. Still feeling completely depleted. Saw my RA yesterday, and just finished the last 2 rounds of antibiotics. Blood tests show inflammation is still high in my body, and the lack of activity (since I've been sleeping so much) has resulted in me feeling low energy and little stamina. Really hard to walk at the moment, hips and knees are very weak, but doctor says I need to start walking a bit more each day to build myself up. The anticipation of doing so however feels daunting at the moment. Also severely dehydrated due to not being able to eat/drink because of the tooth extraction pain, but getting better (very slowly) and managed dinner last night. Now to drink water every hour to get rehydrated. I'm sure that isn't helping my energy level either.

Kids are at an overnight party; need to pick them up around 1 p.m. today. I'm hoping the weather clears enough to have them help me with a little yardwork as I'm not able to do much of anything at the moment.

Even being on the computer is not very enticing. Haven't done any scrapping and I need to take a photo of Noah's brace to document before he's done wearing it. They have their ultimate tournament Friday night (double header) and hoping Noah can play.

Keep posting so THERESA doesn't discontinue the thread. And hope all of you are doing well.

NYLENE say hi to ANGIE next week.

I wish all of you a Happy Mother's Day tomorrow, whether you are a mother, an aunt, a fur-mama, or have a mother or anyone else I missed.

Theresa, just know I will be absent for about a week while I'm at Angie's.
She has a laptop (which I don't know how to use) and it's a Mac (which I don't know how to use) but I can read some on my ipad, but the typing on it is very slow for me....so I'll probably just hold the baby!!! But I'm not leaving you guys!

Happy Mother's Day Sweet Peas!!!

Griffin and Mallory surprised me this morning by waking me up with breakfast in bed. Grif was so proud of himself for getting up before me, since I'm the early riser. It was super cute. We've been to church, had lunch at McAlister's and took a nap...it's been a mellow day. We need to head over to Ron's Mom's house in a few.

We got our A/C fixed on Friday. Thankfully it wasn't all of the way dead, it cost $300, so I thought that wasn't too bad in the big scheme of it all.

I hope that you are all having a nice day today.

Fondly,

Tina

HELLO and happy Mother's Day!
Been a long week. Greg had a really bad case of the flu and was up all night with him then left him home and ran the store. Boy was I tired! I think we are both ok now.
Great weekend at the store. Hope this is the beginning of a great season. Rainy - which we need. But I wish it would get warmer.

Well, just stopping in to say hello, will catch up later.

Hello and Happy Mother's Day.

I am cutting up a storm of Cricut projects to take to CA with me. Angie has to do a teacher's door while I'm there and I have done the cutting for it. I also have been working on some thank you cards for her for baby gifts, and Sammie put in an order for more paper dolls. My poor Cricut is cutting non-stop.

But I didn't want to leave without letting you all know that I heard back from Jeff at 2peas after my loooong letter explaining my concern about my bookmarks and the lack of response to pea members. He was extremely apologetic, admitted that he was tired and stressed and I guess I got some of the brunt of it. He said he was not angry and apologized for his wording and thanked me for being a long time supporter of this site. I just didn't want anyone to think he never apologized. I worry for him and Kristina and whatever is making things so difficult. I'm hoping this site stays up and active for many more years.

Nylene, thanks for letting us know Jeff apologized. Really bothered me that he had been hateful to you.

Melanie, hope Greg is better soon.

Tina, saw the photo of the kids bringing you breakfast in bed on FB. Sweet!

Very low key day here yesterday as usual. Jeremy had to work, he did call on his way to work to wish me a happy Mother's Day. He said he's getting me a new golf bag as a gift because he knows I hate the one I have. They're coming in next weekend. Randy went to Wal-Mart after work Saturday night (guess that would be Sunday morning) and picked up a bouquet of flowers and a card. Drove myself to church (Randy did sound so he had to be there early), made a fried bologna sandwich for lunch and took a nap. We went to see Joyce, she liked her presents, and Charlie and I together fixed my hedge trimmers. Did get a sweet I love you text from my niece Megan (which to be honest, made my day).

Still having pain in my hands so not going to be able to do much craft wise today. Do HAVE to clean this nasty house. I opened the windows for a few days and the whole house now is covered with pollen. Guess I'd better get started, it sure isn't getting done on it's own.

My mother's day was very relaxing. My friend, John, came out to my mom's and fixed 4 plumbing problems (2 running toilets, a dripping shower faucet and replaced the kitchen faucet with the new one I bought her awhile back) for free. mom was over the moon. Then I spent the day with Mom; we went grocery shopping at a couple different stores, played at a Casino we rarely go to (didn't win but played for quite a while) and had dinner together. Came home and my kids had cleaned their room, and the bathroom (without being asked) and the stairway...I think they dusted and vacuumed also. Good kids. Plus they made me the cutest hand-made cards. A very nice day. Always nice to feel appreciated.

Still battling health issues but at least I can say I have considerate kids.

Hope all is well
