I never knew how much paper I had until this week-end!! I am trying to make my scrap room functional, plus I have way too much stuff. I have things that I never use that I bought when I started to scrapbook 19 years ago!

The one thing I have way too much of is paper packs. I purged those big time. I only kept the ones I know I will use and the rest are going to a new home.

I use to think a girl could never have too many thickers...well this girl has too many!!!!

Still purging, but I am happy with the results so far!

If you want to sell the paper holla!

-A low post count doesn't always mean a dummy account for flaming posting. It just means you don't shoot your mouth off randomly to see the numbers under your name increase........or you only really post after the 2nd case of beer

Way to go!!

I am about to tackle my room the same way. I got about 60% there a couple of years ago but got tired of dealing with the excess and just stuck it all in drawers. It's time to get to work on it.

Enjoy your new more functional and organized space!!

I'm doing the same thing! I didn't even remember that I had all that stuff! Having a garage sale this weekend - my purge will hopefully be the delight to another scrapbook hoarder

mommamoonrn - what did you do with it all? I purged recently and ended up giving most of it away. I tried selling it but couldn't get a nibble on most of it, even with a yard sale and a crop. I am okay with giving it away - just wondering what you did.

Good for you! I just purged quit a bit of paper (mostly from old stacks) and quite a few of those paper bag albums. Remember those? I donated that suff to a youth center where my daughter works. She said they would be very grateful to have it, so that makes me feel better. I want to go through my other crafty stuff and pass that on to them too.

Well, in August my local scrapbooking Store is having a garage sale. Last time I sold almost everything. I made 467.00. So I wanted to purge, while I had time off and paint the room. I wish I was finished but no way close. We took a break yesterday and spent the day with my husband's family.

I have to have it back together by Thursday sometime, I have my granddaughters coming over this weekend.

Papers are 70% paper packs. 5% current loose paper. and 25% paper that is 15 years or more older other words not stylin'.

I just keep buying instead of checking my stash first. I gotta quit!!!

The hardest decision I am making is whether to get rid of my Sixxiz Alphabets. I have 8 and they are my favorite, but I have not used them in 8 or 10 years.....

If you have something you love don't get rid of it even if it is 10 years old. I made that mistake and regret it to this day!!!!

I purge a little as I go along. Give it to the Girl Scouts. That way it never gets out of hand.

I have been purging as well. I have so much stuff that I have do it by category (albums, paper & embellishments - by manufacturer , embellishments by type - metal, acrylic, vintage).

I've made some headway. Sold some and gave lots to my nieces in Michigan.

This weekend I will tackle Chatterbox, K&Company and Anna Griffin.

I have TONS of Club Scrap paper and stamps that I haven't used but haven't had the heart to give up. I will take a look at those next week.

It does feel good to shed a layer or unwanted products but I refuse to give up things that I love. Luckily,I have the room so I keep my treasures.

I found that if I dumped as I scrapped, my supplies stayed fresh and didn't become overwhelming. When I finish with a collection, I bag up what is left and put it in a flat rate box. When the box is full, I put a label on it and off it goes to either the pediatric oncology or NICU at a hospital where friends have had their children for extended periods and began awesome craft programs. I send full sets, too, but partial sets still have a lot if good left in them.
