Welcome CHATTY SCRAPPERS...open to everyone who likes to scrap and chat. Jump in when you can, share what you are working on, and if you want some inspiration, try some of the challenges offer (totally optional). We're an easy-going group so no hard and fast rules.

JUNE is the month of nicer weather (summer will be starting soon) weddings, graduations, and of course, spring cleaning...um, I didn't stay that, did I? So what will you be scrapping this JUNE?

Sketch challenges submitted by TONI

For those of you who ike help designing their page, here are 2 sketches to give you a starting point.

SCT PageMaps Sketch submitted by THERESA

Here's the Scrapbook & Cards Today Page Maps challenge for June. If you need additional inspiration, here's some page starters from the calendar: Beginning and ending school photos; field day or last day of school; wedding or anniversary celebrations; your new summer shoes; scrapbook your bucket list.

Bookmarks Challenge submitted by Debi

I've noticed some interesting use of geometric shapes lately in the gallery, so I challenge you to search through your favorite gallery (paper or digital) and find a LO that uses geometric shapes in an interesting manner and scraplift it. Please be sure to acknowledge the person who inspired your page.

Here are a few examples I've noticed to give you an idea of what I'm referring to...feel free to use them if you want.

Digi Challenge submitted by Debi

Remember, just because I dabble in digi doesn't mean you have to, paper, hybrid and digital LOs all welcome. Adapt as necessary.

I'm still in a flowery mood, so I'm asking you to use flower brushes (stamps) somewhere in your LO. And if you don't have any, here is a freebie from a fellow digi scrapper's blog (Creature Comforts): link enclosed in the linked post.

Flower brushes

Ok, it's your turn...go forth and scrap!

Glad you're back in the right time now Debi!

Tina, didn't read your post on last month's thread about the wonderful donations you've obtained until a few minutes ago--way to go!

Got the cutest videos from Jeremy a minute ago, one with Julianne rolling over (quite proud of herself too) and one with Jeremy making her laugh. Have to figure out how to get that cackle as a ringtone!

Spent the day at Owensboro Hospital yesterday, a dear dear man from our church took ill Saturday and died last night. He's in Heaven now where he wanted to be more than anywhere else but he'll sure be missed here.

Randy was at church all day yesterday, sound for regular services and then for a special event. While he was there he somehow managed to crack a rib but he, surprisingly has shrugged it off and isn't complaining. Said it doesn't hurt that bad and perhaps all his padding has come in handy. Sure know how bad mine hurt so he may be on to something.

Dragging today, think last week caught up with me. Went to bed at 9:30 last night and didn't get up til 9:20 this morning (well got up once at 6:30 but went right back to bed). Honestly think I could take a nap now too.

I always say what I mean, I just may not mean to say it out loud!

Wow TINA your fundraising efforts really panned out! Way to go, girl.

THERESA you do so much physical labor type work, I don't know how you manage.

I've been pretty bummed today, even ended up in tears at one point, (suffice it to say "ex creating financial issues" stressing me out. I so need an independent means of creating income to get me out of this mouth-to-mouth survival cycle. Oy, it's taking it's toil on me emotionally and health-wise.

So I decided to eat some limeade-cherry ice and read for awhile before trying to wrap my brain around one more fire to put out.

Sure wish I had something good to grill for dinner, but It might be pasta tonight.

The next 3 weeks are actioned packed before school ends...geesh.

Have a great one.

Happy June!

Hope all of you are well.

I just have one thing to say today, WHY is it that some people feel the need to cause DRAMA. These people are supposed to be adults, that's all I have to say.

Think I'm going to go down and straighten in my library/scrap room. I need a distraction.

Thanks for being here my friends!

Debi - so sorry for the financial strains with the ex. I understand
what you mean though; the financial woes do take a toll on you. I
think I've aged more in the past four years than I have in the first
half of my life. Hugs, girl.

Melanie - Sorry for the drama. Hugs, girl.

See you all later.

Tina, congrats on the donations for your program. That's wonderful that people were so generous.

Melanie I loved this:

I just have one thing to say today, WHY is it that some people feel the need to cause DRAMA. These people are supposed to be adults, that's all I have to say.

Think I'm going to go down and straighten in my library/scrap room. I need a distraction.

Now, I'd probably go eat something! That's why my diet is so hard. Stress MAKES me put on lbs.

Debi and Toni, my heart aches for your job and family situations which of course make financial worries. Wish The Millionaire would knock on my door and leave me a million. I'd certainly share. ...or we could get that darned Randy to pick the right lottery numbers! (hope his ribs are healing)

Theresa, I don't know how you keep going doing so much physical work. I wish you lived here so I could learn gardening, crafting, etc. from you.

I have cubs coming soon so I need to get off. But wanted to let you know that the CHECKBOX is up.

Hey Sweet Peas!

This week is starting out fine for me. I am trying to get lots done, I am going to Michigan next week, so I won't be at the office. My team got me a gift certificate to stay at a resort on Lake Michigan, so I will be there for a few days, which will be nice. I've never been there, but everyone tells me that it's pretty. I'm hoping to do some reading and I think we are going to do some winery tours, it should be fun.

Ron did finish up at the church on Sunday. It was really hard to say goodbye to the kids, but we are looking forward to seeing what is next for Ron. He has a few website projects to finish up and then will start looking for a job in a few weeks.

Debi - I'm so sorry that you are having financial issues. I hate that that you always have to struggle.

Melanie - I hope that the drama settles down, you would think that grown-ups could get over the whole drama thing, but maybe not. You may need to declare a drama-free zone.

Nylene - Hey there sweet lady! I'm glad that your eye is getting better. I hope you are good as new very soon. I am with you on the whole dieting thing...I really need to get back on the wagon, but I'm on the struggle bus instead right now.

Toni - Hugs to you girlfriend...I wish that your life were simpler.

Theresa - I think we should rename you "Energizer Bunny"...or something like that. I do not know how you do all of the stuff that you do everyday, you are truly amazing and have such a kind heart.

Well, I'm going to hang out with Mallory for a bit, hope you all are having a nice evening!

Tina

Raining here today. We can use it.

Evening all.

Nylene, glad you're doing better. I'll tell Randy to try harder!

Tina, what a nice gift your coworkers got you. Lake Michigan is GORGEOUS. Actually have seen it from several places and it's pretty in all of them!

Have decided Randy actually did crack a rib but he's not complaining. Says it only hurts when he has to bend over, tying his shoes is rough.

My energy has left. Got a headache this morning (the newspaper ink smelled funny and think that's what caused it). Went to the store today and it was hurting so bad (even after medication) that I went to bed this afternoon. Slept for a couple of hours and it was gone when I got up. Had to go to the 5th grade graduation of my little neighbor tonight and I'm done for the day.

Tomorrow morning I have to go with Charlie to take his truck to get repaired in a neighboring county. Following him and then driving him home then taking him back when the truck is done.

Not sure if you can open this or not but it's a video Jeremy sent me yesterday of him making Julianne laugh: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/v2h4sxqamgk9hgb/AACyg1qY4TW8410lV3vsmzrVa

What a sweet video THERESA...aren't babies just so much fun?

MELANIE sorry you're feeling frustrated. I'm not sure why people have to work against each other rather than with each other. Hope things are getting better.

I spent today at the local WorkSource office taking a workshop designed for looking for work with a disability. I'm meeting with the counselor of Dept of Vocational Rehabilitation to see if I qualify for their services. I'm determined to find a job...I can't stay in this position of being so vulnerable to whatever my ex decides to do to upset my financial security. I'm so frustrated with him I can't even talk to him at the moment, but I do need to address what he's done soon. I just hate feeling so emotional (too vulnerable)so I'm trying to give myself a little distance before addressing it, but I can't put if off much longer. SO send me "honest clarity" vibes so I can get my point across without adding fuel to a fire that never seems to go out.

The boys and I, along with their HS band, are traveling to Portland, OR Saturday (5:30 a.m.) to participate in the Rose Bowl Parade. As a chaperone I'm supposed to walk the parade route too (4.5 miles--oh Lordy, I'm not sure how I'm going to do it, but I'll give it my best shot). It's televised so If you want to look for me, or the band, we're Roosevelt HS (green and gold uniforms). After the parade, the kids go to the city fair and get to ride rides for 4 hours, then we head back to Seattle (3.5-4 hour drive). It's going to be a long day. I will take my camera so maybe I'll be able to scrap a page soon.

Have a good day.

Got Charlie's truck to Livermore fairly uneventfully. Not sure what is wrong with it or when we'll have to pick it up but he has a car to drive so he's in no hurry. Went to Evansville with Randy after that, got home before the storms hit. We just got a bit of rain but Evansville got really hammered this afternoon. More storms to the North of us now including a tornado, hoping they stay to the North!

Debi, good news about the parade route, they'll be walking really slow! You might want to get out the next day or two and walk some to get your body a little jump start. Wear REALLY good shoes!

Going to Holiday World in the morning so won't check back in until tomorrow night or Friday. Have a great Thursday all.

Hey girls -

A day off Not much going on around here. I really
need to get some more cleaning done. I really wish my scrappy
mojo would come back, but it seems to have disappeared.
Of course I started a new book and it's got my attention, too.

Anyway, keep well all.

Toni, my dad used to say, "Get your head out of that book and get your work done!" So we need to tell you to get your head out of those books so we can see more of your scrap pages. But...there's nothing like a good book!

Debi, good luck at the parade. Hang in there.

I'm off to deliver all the paperwork that parents have to fill out for us to take their boys on a Webelos Wilderness Adventure in 2 weeks. This is a new program. I hope it's not TOO wilderness-y! It's just a day camp, so no sleeping over, thank heavens. I hope I can get the parents to take the time to fill out the forms so I can get them in on time. Sometimes that's like pulling teeth!

Just a reminder TOMORROW IS NATIONAL DONUT DAY so if you have a Krispy Kreme nearby, they will be giving away free donuts. Other shops may be as well, just google it and see.

I hope to get a donut tomorrow, who's with me?

Good morning Peas!!! It's the weekend...yay! Today is my last workday before my vacation. I have a pretty easy day planned for today, mostly a bunch of clean-up work and finishing up projects.

Debi - Donut day is my kind of holiday!!!! I wish there were still Krispy Kreme's here, they all left town a few years ago, they were our favorites. I'm going to go buy donuts for my meeting this morning to celebrate.

Toni - I've been reading quite a bit lately too. I love to read, but it annoys my hubby because I pretty much tune out the world when I dive into a book and I I try to finish the book all in one day, it feels like watching half of a movie to me if I quit in the middle.

Anywho, I guess I should get moving and get myself to work. Have a good day ladies!

Had a good time at Holiday World yesterday but it was too chilly for the water park. We went anyway mind you but after a couple of hours we were all chilled to the bone! 68 degrees, it got a little warmer but not over 74 all day. Lines were really short as you can imagine.

Austin's medication isn't working as well as it should so he had some anxiety and head bopping by the time we left. (He has Tourette's Syndrome for any that don't know.) My sister got him a different medication from the doctor on Tuesday but they aren't sure how he's going to react to it so she's waiting to start it Saturday so he'll be home. If this med doesn't work, they're finally going to send him to a specialist. He'll be 10 years old on the 28th, sure not an illness you'd think a small child would have to deal with. Luckily for him, by the time the head bopping started yesterday we were watching a music show so no one noticed. We left the park about 30 minutes afterward.

Have the funeral for the sweet man from our church today and then my regular scrap crop tonight. Thinking I'm going to go back to bed to get a little more sleep.

Have a great Friday! (Alas, no Krispy Kreme here either!)

Woke up from my nap to find Randy had went to buy donuts to take to the church for Little John's funeral (hospitality room for the family) and had bought me a jelly filled one home so hurray, did get a donut today after all.

Can't talk my boys into going for a donut (they wouldn't go last year either) so undecided if I will go for one myself, being I'm gluten sensitive (probably not the best thing to eat before a big fieldtrip tomorrow)...oh well

morning girls -

got to go get ready for work but wanted to run by and say hi.

donuts sound pretty good right about now...think I'll stop by
Panera on my way to work and get one of their French bagels
(I know, not a donut, but it will be something good to eat on
my break, LOL).

Debi - the only time I was able to get my kids moving for something
like that was ice cream...of course other than eating out, which they've always loved to do, LOL.

Tina - enjoy your time off.

Nylene - how are the eyes coming along?

Theresa - my heart breaks for Austin. 10 years old would be a very difficult time to be going through all that. Gosh, I'm sorry, I really didn't know. We've had a couple of kids with Tourettes, and it's not easy for them because people just don't understand. Hugs, girl, to you, and his family, and especially him.

Anyway, I'm off...

oh, yeah, I finished that book pronto If you all haven't read anything by Emily Griffin, she's really good.

have a great day.

I hope you are all having a nice day! It's beautiful here today. We've been working in the garage and Olivia and I went to zumba. I need to catch the laundry up ISO that everything is clean when we head out tomorrow, but we'll see if I get to that or not.

Theresa - I hope you had fun at your crop and that the funeral went okay. I hate that Austin is having to deal with that, it seems wrong for little ones to have to deal with those kind of things.

Toni- I'm going to check out that author. I don't think I've read any of her books and I plan to do some reading.

Well, I'd better get back to work. Wishing you all a nice day!

Happy Saturday all.

Speaking of books, my friend Paula wants to get her 14 year old granddaughter a series for Summer reading. Anyone have any recommendations? She likes Nicholas Sparks style of writing.

I mowed the yard this morning (had to have my brother come help me get the mower out because Randy left for work before I decided to do it). I hooked the cart up to the mower to move some concrete blocks and realized I'd left my gloves in the house. Turned the mower off and came inside, phone rang and I answered. Talked to a friend for a bit (well longer than a bit) and went back out--battery dead on the mower! I didn't leave the lights on and the mower was in the off position. Did leave the keys in the ignition but seriously, it was off! Since I can't jump start anything with the Prius (rechargeable battery in it) I have to leave the mower out until Randy gets home after 6. Supposed to start raining around 4 and rain the rest of the night. Not happy. Oh well, nothing I can do about it.

Got a bigger pump for my pond and realized this morning that the water was really nasty so I totally drained it, cleaned the pond, added river rock to the bottom to make a natural filter for fish poop, debris, etc. (should have done that to begin with) and added fresh water. Pump working great, looks like a big bubble where it's spraying the water. Fish at first really annoyed with me but now that they're back in the fresh clear water, they're much happier.

Laundry started and I think I'm going to take a nap!

Just a quick run by for me. I'm trying to catch up on a few things around here. My eyes are improving, but went out this a.m. to get some flowers and tomato plants and they were so sensitive we had to stop to buy sunglasses and that didn't help much. It's going to be hard to be at Day Camp all day with my Cubs unless my eyes become less sensitive in the next 10 days. I plan to wear a hat that might help shield.

Got flowers planted and the yard is looking nice. We're slow getting the tomatoes in, but couldn't be helped this year.

Theresa, I have a DGS who is on the Autism spectrum and has Tourettes. It's very difficult. His manifests itself mostly in his speech. It's really hard to talk to him and he's ready to start High School next year. One of my DGDs has lots of facial tics and is extremely anxious over things that would never bother anyone else. Breaks my heart to see kids dealing with these issues. Hugs to your Austin and all of you who love him.

Need to run and get a few things finished. I'll try to drop by more often. The computer screen is not quite so hard to use now, especially with my sunglasses.

Well turns out my mower's battery didn't die, I'm just not smart enough to know that you have to push the brake ALL the way down before the mower will start. A safety feature that I didn't know existed. Amazed I've ever been able to crank it, LOL, don't normally think my legs are short but they are on this mower. Neighbor came over and told me. Got it back in the building just as it started raining.

Nylene, Tourette's does run in the family so it doesn't surprise me that you have two grands with it. Well actually I didn't know you had any grands with it so that was a surprise but you know what I mean. Austin's Dad and step brother both have a version but didn't acknowledge it until Austin got diagnosed. There are so many different levels. Luckily, if you can say luckily, Austin's version is just tics and increased anxiety over the strangest things and not speech. I think Michelle caused some of them at Holiday World because she told him that he might get to go on stage with the performers and I think it scared him. Right now his tic is head bopping, he's kept it for over a year but he went through licking his upper lip (almost to his nose) until it was raw and blinking and head tilts too. He also MUST finish what he wants to tell you. It's almost an obsession, he has to get it out. Might take him an hour if you keep interrupting and trying to change the subject be he will eventually finish the story--even if you've heard it ten times already!

Hi, Donna, welcome to the Chatty Scrappers, but just know you aren't older than many of us. I have grandchildren who are 21 and 18 and down to 3 months. We are glad to have you.

Theresa, Tourette's is such a weird disease. DGD has not been diagnosed with it, but certainly shows signs. He Ped.Dr. says just watch for now. She functions very well most of the time...some lip licking too! But I worry for DGS. He's extremely bright. Used to do his brother's H.S math for him when he was in Elem, but his social skills are lacking. I do see some improvement there. I just hope there's a niche in this world for him.

Here are some of the cards I made (after learning from Theresa). I should have taken the photos before they have been folded, packed in a box, taken out for Alyssa's demo practice about a dozen times. I can see that some things have fallen off and will have to be repaired, but here they are:

Hi Donna, actually you sound like you're about the same age as most of us. I'm Theresa, live in Kentucky and have one child that will be 32 in July. Have a 5 month old granddaughter and talk about my nephews and nieces like they were mine. Glad to have you join us.

Nylene, you reminded me I didn't post my box card for Andrew's graduation.

Hi Donna - welcome! Hope you'll join us regularly. I'm up there in age, I promise you

Theresa - I would recommend books by Sarah Dessen; she's a great writer for young adults. Two of my favorite books of hers are Just Listen
and Lock and Key. I don't think 14 would be too young for them, but
I don't know her maturity level.
The Amanda Hocking triology: Switched, Torn and Ascend were really good too...kind of along the lines of The Hunger Games but only more mythical/fantasy type story. Really enjoyable though and good for young adults. She has other books out too, but I haven't read those, just the above ones.
A set of books by Colleen Houck titled Tiger Quest, Tiger Curse, Tiger Voyage and Tiger Destiny are really good, too. We had them in our school library so I know they're ok for young adults.
The only ones that are similar to Sparks would be Sarah Dessen though.
Real life fiction characters with possible real life scenarios.
Good reads

Tina - do read Emily Griffin... I really have enjoyed her books. I've read a lot of them, but not all. I know she's also got a new one out.

ok, way past my bed time...I was waiting for the floor to dry, LOL.
Anyway, got to get to bed. No work tomorrow, but plenty of stuff to get done.

Nylene - glad your eyes are doing better. I'm sorry to hear about your grandkinds, too.

Donna, here's a video (link there) with a tutorial on how to make the box card. I actually use my Silhouette so I don't have to measure. BTW, sorry your Grandson has problems but very happy he's able to get the right care at school. It would sure make Austin's day better if he had a teacher that understood.

My nephew finally decided to let me take some Senior Photos today. We borrowed a cap/gown, took some outdoor shots with his girlfriend and even went to the fire department and got some great shots in his gear. Think he regrets not marching Friday night.

Thanks for the book recommendations, passed them along to Paula.

Hi Donna, and welcome. I'm not any spring chicken either, I just had my children very late and now as I should be planning my own retirement, I'm trying to figure out how to get them through high school and college.

We always love new folks to join us. Jump in as often as you like and share any project you're working on. We're a friendly and eclectic group; sometimes chatty, sometimes scrappy, sometimes neither. LOL

I survived the Rose Bowl Marching Band field trip...up at 4:30 a.m.-3 1/2 hr bus ride down to Portland, several hours preparing and walking ( a fast clip for these old legs) in the 4.5 mile parade route, then another 4 hrs hanging out at the carnival in warm weather followed by another 3.5 hr bus trip home, to finally walk through the door at 10 p.m. I made it, but that last 5 blocks of the parade about did me in. I'm glad we went though.

And surprisingly I wasn't too stiff today although I had leg cramps all night. Tomorrow I may be a bit stiffer as that seems to be how it goes and the weather is changing (storm coming) which always affects my RA.

2 more weeks to go til school is out.

Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been so scarce, but life has just got away from me.

The sale of the pharmacy is almost finalised but it does mean we are relocating. THAT is a performance on it's own So many contracts to cancel and stuff to organise.

The older 2 boys are writing exams. Thank goodness they finish tomorrow, so life can calm down a little after that. The school holidays only start the 25th, so I don't know how the teachers are going to keep them busy till then... Just glad my stress is over by then.

Debi - Glad you survived the parade but so sorry the ex is up to his usual tricks. Wishing you financial stability and a job.

Melanie - with you totally on people causing unnecessary drama.

Theresa - Hope Austin's new meds help. Ruan has also been diagnosed with ADD 2 weeks ago, so now I have 2 on Ritalin... But his teacher says he is a different child in class and he is actually enjoying studying for the exams. It hasn't been half the struggle I was expecting. You are so right about it being inherited. Heinrich (DH) was never diagnosed, but he is definitely ADD - can't even sit still long enough to watch a TV program. Sean's sensory dyspraxia comes from my side; I'm very sensitive to sound.

Tina - hope you had a fabulous time away.

Lots of love to you all and I should be able to participate more from next month again. One advantage of working for someone (I haven't had a boss in 15 years, so it's going to be VERY strange)

to remember how to do it, LOL.

Debi, glad you survived the day. Actually walking every day would be really good for your RA. You'll probably be stiff today and may even have shin splints (where the tops of your feet hurt) soak in an Epson Salt bath but tomorrow try and walk some more (not 4.5 miles).

Michelle, hope the rest of the pharmacy sale goes smoothly. Austin's Tourrette's is being treated with heart medication which bothers me. It causes him to be really sleepy and makes his heart flutter at times because I'm sure it drops his blood pressure. I REALLY want her to take him to a child specialist. I know he has to be medicated but think there has to be a better alternative.

Toni, I tried to scrap a layout Friday night and just sat and looked at the paper for a good hour--kid you not! I've been making cards but hadn't done a layout in so long I couldn't come up with anything. Ended up making a very basic layout just so I could get something done.

Need to get the Silhouette out this morning and make a fish decal for Jonathan to give to his Daddy (my cousin) for Father's Day. His Mom asked what he wanted to get Bill for FD and he said a fish for his truck. Hasn't asked for anything else. He's four years old. She had no idea where to even start looking for one and my sister told her to call "martha stewart" (me) and have me make one. Gotta love it when I get volunteered to make stuff.

Have a little bit of laundry (sheets and towels) to do today but other than that am just going to relax. Since Andrew was coming yesterday for photos, I actually got the house clean before hand so don't have to do any cleaning today. Will have to run to Wal-Mart (hate Wal-Mart) to get a lightbulb for the fridge and some hummingbird feed for Aunt Ruby's feeder (she finally has birds so she's so excited). Will also probably have to take Charlie to get his truck at the Ford place in Livermore. Well guess I'll rethink the "just going to relax today" thought!

THERESA I'm not sure you know how to relax. LOL You get more done "relaxing" than I do when I'm actually trying to get something done.

I know more walking and exercise can only be a good thing, but balancing not being able to move afterwards with the immediate advantage of exercising can be tricky.

But maybe I should push myself a bit more and see if I can increase my daily activity level, especially during the nice weather.

So MICHELLE with selling the pharmacy, are you going to work there or elsewhere? You said you needed to relocate--your house or the pharmacy? Not sure what you meant by that. My boys have finals next week and I'm worried about it. Not their best time of the year as neither want to study for finals; they haven't quite wrapped their mind around the idea that they can have a good grade but it they blow the final it can plummet. Oy!

Have a great day girls.

Michelle, after just redoing your kitchen you are going to move? I think I'd cry. Congrats on the sale of the Pharmacy. What are your plans now.

Debi, glad you survived the day and that the RA is not much worse for the extra stress. Hang in there.

Martha...I mean, Theresa, thanks for posting the link to that video again. I use different measurements, but I think I watched 10 tutorials. They are so simple and are lots of fun. Lyssie made a cute one using bumble bee stickers today. Turned out so cute.

I'll be so glad when Thursday is over and the girls have given their demos. Then we can start their summer sewing for the Style Revue in Aug.
Summer is gong too quickly.

I need to run, but will check back later.

Accomplished everything on my list today, whoo hoo! I'm pooped though. So much for a relaxing day. Supposed to storm all day tomorrow so perhaps I'll get to stay inside and rest then.

Don't normally post recipes but made these pork chops tonight and although they weren't gluten free they were yummy! I actually made 7 pretty good size boneless chops with the recipe below and had a ton of the bread crumb mixture left over that had to be thrown away so you can probably 1/2 the last four ingredients and be fine.

Parmesan Baked Pork Chops
4 boneless pork chops
1 T. olive oil
1 C. Parmesan cheese
1 C. Italian bread crumbs--crushed
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
On a plate combine the last 4 ingredients. Rub the pork chops with olive oil and then dip (coat) each one in the cheese mixture. Press the mixture over the pork chops to make sure they are well covered in it. Line a pan with tin foil and spray with cooking spray. Place the pork chops on the pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Donna we've tried to put our names in the signature section so that might help. I know with the name Theresa I sure couldn't use it as my Pea name.

I'm actually a Registered Nurse without a job. Need to find a dayshift one but economy is really poor here and it's not easy despite what the television people say about nurses are always going to find work. I was fired from my last job because my office manager had a personal vendetta to not have to pay a RN. Long story short, my open mouth allowed it to happen and I should have sued at the time but didn't want it to hurt my chance of getting another job. A year later, still no job.

Randy had to go to a training (he's a McDonald's manager) in Evansville, IN today and back again tomorrow and I let him take the Prius. That'll keep me home. I actually have his Camry if I have to go somewhere but I won't. So far this morning, I've gotten dressed, fed the neighbor's cat, played on the computer and drank a cup of coffee. Who hoo 10:20 and I've done nothing! Think I'm going to take a photo of Boris (neighbor's cat) and do a layout about how he became our Foster Cat.

DONNA, my name is DEBI. I'm a single (divorced) mother with twin boys, 15 years old. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis (last 41 years) and am struggling with side-effects of having had RA so long (dry eye issues, dry mouth issues, and now repeated bouts of pneumonia). My kids keep me busy with band, ultimate Frisbee and of course, Japanese which I'm trying to learn along with them. I'm not working, due to some of the medical issues, but like THRESA I really want and need to work. In the past I've directed child care programs (my degrees are in Early Childhood Education), taught advanced math, and done bookkeeping/office management. I love to teach (anything). So now I'm back to looking for work full-time.

I'm a digital scrapper but haven't done any pages for awhile-between being ill and having my laptop, with my photoshop program on it, currently not working, I just haven't had the mojo. But I have a ton of LOs posted in the gallery if you want to see what style I do.

My son Noah informed me last night (9 p.m.)that he wants to do a paper scrapbook for a LA project due THURSDAY, as well as finish a research project due FRIDAY but his interview isn't scheduled until Thursday (and they are going to their dad's that night) because they have to attend some poetry event tonight (their normal visitation night) for LA project. They will be gone over the weekend (Father's day) but have a huge Japanese final on Tuesday. I'm so biting my nails over that one. I'm feeling the stress of finals' week and I'm not even doing the finals.

Another meeting with DVR today. Then I need to take care of some pressing business paperwork. I'm tired before I even got started. Maybe I need to find out what THERESA eats (besides the breaded pork chops) to have so much energy.

Well off to shower and prepare for the day.
Hope yours is awesome.

Hey Sweet Peas!!!

I'm baaack! We came home from Michigan a day early. We had a really nice time. We went to Holland, South Haven and New Buffalo, all of which are towns that border Lake Michigan. It was really pleasant and pretty there. We went to a couple of big flower gardens, bought some bulbs there to add to the garden and went inside a windmill, which was cool. We also went to the beach, did some shopping, visited a museum and ate lots of good stuff. It was a nice couple of days away.

I'm off work the rest of the week, so I'm looking forward to doing some crafting and scrapping. I have a couple of mixed media canvases that I've started for friends and need to get finished and I just got my kit in the mail from Gossamer Blue, so I have new scrappy goodies to play with.

Donna - Hi!!! Welcome to our group! I'm Tina (obviously), I'm 47 and have been married to my sweet hubby forever. We have three kids, Griffin (10 yrs), Mallory (16 yrs) and Olivia (20 yrs). I'm the CEO for the Children's Bureau, which is a large child welfare agency, so I'm usually hopping busy, but loving life.

Teaching special ed is hard work. Toni works in that field too. I hope your last couple of days of school go well and I'm looking forward to seeing your scrappy pages. What part of California do you live in?

Michelle - I didn't know that you were going to move when you sold the pharmacy...that is a LOT of change! Where are you going to move to? I hope that you do okay with transitioning back to working for someone else, it could be hard to do that after being self employed, but there can be some nice things about it too, maybe you won't have to worry about the business as much. Are you going to work full-time or part-time?

Well, I hope you all are having a nice evening!

Tina
