Hi guys, how does a moodboard works? How do I get inspiration from it? Should I use a bit of every image? All the colors? dots, stripes...?

Sometimes I am inspired by 4 or 5 different images and sometimes I have a very loose interpritation of just one. I do find that having a mood board has inspired me to do more. I started puting together a large kit each month with my stash and new supplies. Then I restrict myself to that kit for the month. The moodboard is my starting point for pulling supplies. I find that I get so many more layouts done each month because I spend less time fussing over what supplies to use.

Usually its the color combos that hit me first.

Then the images themselves and if they bring any stories or photos to mind that I want to make a page about.

I look at the quotes and see if those bring any stories or memories to mind.

I look at the lettering - this month is looking like stamped letters to me and the Your Are Loved reminds me of a set of letter stickers I have that I should use.

One of the Garden Girls did a video awhile back that detailed how the inspiration came to them from the mood board. ANyone remember which video that was?
