Hi All...

Happy National Scrapbook Day!!

Is anybody doing anything special today?

I have been participating in some of the chats and am
planning on doing a little scrapping when I get done here.

I got myself the pink ATG the other day....I really like it..
I tried one at a 2 day crop I went to last weekend and had to
run out and get one...LOL..I'm such a sucker for new toys

Sandy...it was a little overcast this morning but that big, bright, yellow ball is out there again...it's so blinding

I'll check in a little later...I need to do a few things
around here....

Hi All...

It is a bright, beautiful, semi-warm(63 degrees), Mothers
Day.....it took so long for the warm weather to get here.

What is everyone up to today...I am going to my Mom's in
a few minutes to enjoy a nice dinner with her and my father.

I have been cleaning and working on a few unfinished SB
projects this weekend....I had to get that stuff done so I
can work out in my yard this week, now that it's finally
dry...I don't ever remember my yard being so swampy...LOL..

I have to get ready to leave...be back later...

Have a great day ladies

I know you need it as much as I do...

By Tuesday it is supposed to be in the low 70's and no rain until Thursday night.

What are you grilling for dinner..

Cheryl - we have a beautiful day today...warm - sunshine - but rain back in the forecast for tonight/tomorrow.

We just grilled hotdogs and brats. I made potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, spinach, macaroni and cheese (as my picky boys won't touch macaroni salad), and I baked brownies. It was a nice dinner - all the kids were here. I am supposed to get a wide format printer for Mother's Day - but the only local place that has them is Office Max, and for some reason Epson doesn't honor the 80.00 rebate if it is purchased there - even Epson online is sold out right now. So it will have to wait for awhile. Mark surprised me with another Willow Tree Figure. I am developing a collection of them, now I'll have to put them away when it's time to put the Nativity up.

Hoping all of you have a glorious evening.

Sandy....I'm sorry...I didn't forget you..

The weather here has been so nice, I've been outside
doing yard work...it hit 76 today

I finally got my lawn mower from my dad's house, so
I was able to take care of my lawn...that grass was so
long and still very wet...it was hard to mow...LOL..
I managed to get it done though.

I also hosed down my house(vinyl siding), and did a little
weeding in my front garden...I like my front yard done and
looking nice by memorial Day..

I wish I lived closer to you...your Bar-B-Q on Mother's Day
sounded wonderful, so much yummy food..I'm glad all
the kids could make it.

Does the Epson Printer your getting print 12x12...
If it does, you'll love it...my sister has one and I use it
a lot when I go to Minnesota. I hope you don't have
to wait to long for it.

Guess that's it for now..
Have a great evening

Hello from a very warm Chillicothe - we are up to 91.9...hopefully it doesn't kick up storms like it did on Tuesday. There were areas where over 4 inches of rain fell in less than 2 hours so there was lots of flooding, even in areas where it doesn't usually flood.

Cheryl - yes the printer I am getting will print 12 x 12 - it can print up to 13 x 19 but I doubt that I will ever print anything over 12 x 12. I can't wait. I received an email from Epson and advised the kids that it was now back in stock - not sure if Jess ordered it yesterday or not. But I'm excited. Now I hope to re-organize my scrap area and make some room for it and my cricut. I am tired of carrying my cricut upstairs to use it. It is going to be alot of work but I NEED to get it done anyway.

Glad you are getting some decent (enjoyable) weather. It makes it easier to be in a better mood I think. Just don't work too hard.

Hi All....

After breaking a record high of 85 degrees on Friday...
it never made it past 42 yesterday and today and the
record for the most rainfall for May 14 and 15 was
broken...I'm sick of this too it is
so cold and damp today I had to tune the heat back on

Sandy...with this very damp weather my sinuses have been
giving me a hard time...I couldn't take my head off
my pillow yesterday.

After working in the yard for a couple days it got to
the point where I had to stop...I just couldn't move
anymore...there is so much more I need to do, but now the
weather has turned to crap again...

Have you made space for your new printer yet...
did you get your printer yet...your going to love it..
I use my sister's when I go to MN...I like to scan a
a picture in at 80%, then print it out 12x12..to use as
background paper...it turns out really cool.

I went to a 12 hour crop Saturday...it was at my LSS..
we celebrated National Scrapbook Day a week late...
I got 7 pages and a 6x6 chip board album done...maybe my
head was hurting from creating pages...not my sinuses...LOL..

I have about a month to go until convention...I can't
wait...Archivers is going to be there for the first
time...I that store

I need to go for now...
Have a great evening...

Hi Cheryl and Sandy:
I think there is an Archiver's somewhere in this city.....I will have to investigate. Enjoy your ATG gun....I got one at Michael's with a 50% off coupon, and after I figured out how to load it, I have loved it!
I am having quite a hard time adjusting to this move. I have been in a deep "funk". I will cry at the drop of a hat. I just hate it here.
Plus I am so stressed out about selling our house in Idaho. It's been awful....people want a bargain and are making ridiculous offers. There have been comments made that the house is out dated and too "blue" (what can I say, I like blue lol) I guess I've been taking it personally so I tell myself that these people making the negative comments are Wal-Mart nose picking white trash . Naughty I know but it does make me feel better. We had a single Mom who made an offer then made all sorts of demands like wanting the driveway re-done. Our house appraised at 179,900 but we are asking 150,00. We've had a lot of really lowball offers. Time is running out...there is a Dr who has offered 135,000 and i think we may take that offer It is making me sick because just a few years ago people were selling in our neighborhood for 200,000. Oh well I just can't think about it or it will drive me nuts. Our house is really nice with a lot of extras, it was my dream home and we were planning on staying there forever. Instead I find myself anxious and depressed in a big city with no friends. I spend most of my time here in the basement watching TV and dinking around on facebook. Jeff keeps telling me to find a DR to help me but I don't even know where to start. This anxiety is getting worse.
I hope you both are doing well. I "see" Flossie on FB, and occasionally Kathy. Wish they would post.......I miss you all.

Hello Ladies:

Peggy - good to see you posting. I am so very sorry you are having such difficulty with the move, selling your home, missing your new home. I know what I felt like when our first home (as owners) burned down. It was like we lost a family member. I hope it gets better for you soon. Sending you big hugs my friend.

Cheryl - we had rain again today...I'll tell you I am about to pull my hair out...I truly do not know how much more of this crappy weather I can take. I got my printer but haven't taken it out of the box yet. I want to totally reorganize my scrap area, but my back has been hurting so very badly I truly haven't felt like doing anything.
We are trying to get all caught up with school. A couple of sick days really sets us back. Plus yesterday was a field trip to C O S I in Columbus, so although the time spent there is supplemental hours, it doesn't help with the 90% requirement for all of the core lessons. I do not know why we are required to finish 90% of the curriculum (it was 80% last year) as I am quite certain the public schools do not finish that much. But such is life I guess. In addition to the increased percentage this year, the online school introduced required class connect sessions so on Mondays there is Home room and Math, Tuesdays is reading and history, Wednesdays is Science, Thursdays is Writing, and Fridays is catch up day if you missed either science or History earlier in the week. Each of the class connect sessions last approximately 1 hour - so it makes it hard to do the other 5 hours of core lesson work. Ok, I am done venting now....I need sunshine to brighten my mood.

Good Morning ...

We have had nothing but rain since Saturday....
not just rain... but gully washers I am
so afraid to look in my basement after these storms...it
flooded once many years ago after one of these storms
and I don't want to deal with it again...

I have less than a month until convention!!!

Peggy...(((((HUGS)))) for you...
I'm so sorry your having such a hard time dealing
with everything...it must be very hard...

I know all to well about being in a major funk...I spend
half the year in one..hang in there....things will get better.

I love my ATG gun...I didn't have a problem loading
it...I couldn't get it open to load...Ryan was here
when I got it...he was laughing so hard watching me try
to open the thing...I thought he was going to wet his pants.

Sandy...has it dried up there yet...I'm going to try and mow the
lawn today between the rain drops...LOL..I have seen people
in the pouring rain trying to get their lawn mowed.

Okay...I thought my life was crazy...how do you keep all
the scheduling for David's classes straight...I think
I would be ripping my hair out by now....when is school
finished for the year...

I have to go for now...catch you all later...
Have a great day

I couldn't open my ATG gun either.....Jeff had to do it for me
It's been another cold and rainy day here...we had a hail storm at 4 this morning...it sounded like rocks were being thrown at the windows. I thought the windows would break.
Jeff went to Idaho this morning to load up the last of our stuff. I should have gone with him, but he left so early and didn't wake me up. I slept until 10. It's unbelievable how much stuff we have accumulated over 35 years of marriage...we rented a storage unit, and one of these weekends we are planning on going through everything and doing a purge. I have a ton of home decor things that I don't want anymore. It will be good to get rid of them. We are planning on moving to a townhouse in about a year and we won't need a lot. My taste has changed over the years...I used to love blue and mauves and soft colors, but now I am gravitating toward earth tones. I want to get a leather couch when we move.
I am thinking about joining Curves..I noticed that there was one a few blocks away. Maybe exercise will help me with my blues. My good friend from Idaho has lost 68 lbs in the past year. Her husband passed away and she had a lot of time, so she joined a gym. She looks fantastic, and she's 8 years older than I am so I figure I can do it too!
Have a good weekend ladies.

Sandy, send some of that sunshine my way, will you? It's been raining off and on for the past few days. I am loving my gas fireplace!
If the weather cooperates, we will be planting our garden in the morning, then we are going to go see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. We will have a BBQ in the evening.
It will be our 35th Anniversary this July, and we are trying to think of some small vacation to go on to celebrate. We are both thinking of going to Disneyland for a few days, does that sound dumb for a couple of 50- somethings? We are thinking it would be great with just the 2 of us, we could do whatever we want( in my case it would be riding the Pirates of the Caribbean ride a bajillion times), and we could eat and some of the nicer places.
I hope you are having a great weekend! Stay safe

Hello Ladies - What a beautiful day we had. It was hot, don't get me wrong but there was no rain.

Peggy - I hope you get some sunshine soon - nice full days of sunshine - it does wonders for the mood. I say if both of you would enjoy Disneyland, I say go for it. Mark would stick out like a sore thumb, he doesn't not handle crowds well...lol Then there is me, who just doesn't handle rides well anymore. I loved Ferris Wheels, way back when I was a teenager Kings Island had a big double one - I loved riding that thing - going up and seeing for what seemed like miles. Well a few years ago, at a family day picnic for Mark's factory they had a ferris wheel, I got on with David, I was so scared... I rode that 1 time and that was it. And I never ever ever enjoyed roller coasters. I rode 1 - 1 time back when the Red and blue racer was the roller coaster to ride at Kings Island. that's all it took - I've never even attempted to ride one again. The last time we went to Kings Island - David was little (not sure the age) my sister rode the baby "beast" with him...I couldn't bring myself to do it.Whatever it is you all decide to do I hope you have a fantastic time. Our 30th will be in August. I can't believe we've been married that long...

Cheryl - how is your weather? I hope you are getting some sunshine. How's your parents, Ryan?

Waving Hi to everyone. Hoping everyone stops by soon and says hi...and lets us know you are well.

Hugs,
Sandy

Hhhheeeelllloooo!

I hope everyone is having a great Saturday. David and I had to get up really early (for us) this morning - had to leave the house around 7:15 AM - that's after not going to sleep until around 3....I got so sleepy driving to Columbus I had to stop and get a breakfast burrito, hash brown and coke from McDonalds...the virtual school David is in had an 8th grade graduation ceremony this morning in Columbus (at Capital University) so we were up and out bright and early. It was a wonderful ceremony. I was surprised at all the people in attendance. I'm not grumbling too loudly about the drive because I sat beside a lady that drove twice as far as I did...So, David is starting high school this August. I can't believe that...I'm getting old.

Hello Ladies:

I hope everyone is doing well.

We have had some beautiful weather the last few days - highs in the upper 70s with sunshine - lows at night in the high 50s...

I can't believe the weekend went by so fast, like in a blink of an eye and it's Monday already.

Hi, I wish we had some of that sunny weather....we had a bunch of storms roll through on Sat. It was so weird....one minute we were outside enjoying the sunshine and then we would get drenched from a sudden rain, hear a few LOUD thunderclaps and then back to the sunshine. At one point on Sat evening, we were sitting in the family room and heard a loud boom..Jeff jumped up and ran outside to see what it was....it sounded like a truck had crashed into our house! I went outside this morning and was greeted by a blast of frigid air, but it's hot and sunny now.
I am going to a counselor tomorrow and I am nervous, but maybe they can help me with my anxiety and depression.....we'll see.

Peggy - I hope the counselor is able to help. I never did the counseling - I took antidepressants for quite some time years ago, but then decided I'd just fight it myself, some days the darkness settles in and I just don't even want to open my eyes, let alone get out of bed. Other times I seem to be okay. It's a battle I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Hang in there my friend.

I hope your weather gets better too! That seems to help my mood. We had what seemed like months of rain, it was horrible. But it has been better of late, so I do feel better.

Sending you big big hugs.

Hello. Hope you are doing well.
I have been watching the Anthony trial. I don't know why it is so fascinating to me. I keep thinking that it's a huge waste of time and money. Casey is guilty as heck, but I do think it was accidental. Have you been watching?
The Dr was very nice....she practices out of her home. She does something called REM therapy . The first visit was just her getting to know me, and we will start the actual therapy on my next appt. I have high hopes of this working for me, it has helped my sis-in-law. I was given a few exercises to do and although I haven't done them faithfully they do seem to be helping.
Lindsay went on a hike with our Church group yesterday and now she is tired and wants to take a nap so I will be watching the boys for a few hours. They want to live outside since it has warmed up. I think I will take a book outside and sit and watch them. The twins are obsessed with BigFoot at the moment so they are on a bigfoot hunt...it is so fun to watch them play! Their BigFoot is a toy robot that they hide from each other and try to find. They watched Harry and the Henderon's a few days again, hence the interest in Big Foot.
I was excited to spot a Drive-In the other day. We are planning to take the boys next week...it should be a lot of fun.
I hope you are having a fun summer! Hugs, Peggy

Hello Ladies:

Gosh, have you all been quiet as church mice...

I'm just gonna jump in here and say it...I NEED A VACATION!

Mark has been off the past two weeks - planned time off. However, with Lois being in the center, we do not go anywhere, as he goes to visit her daily. However, during his time off, I have had Jason to Urgent Care- they sent him to the ER...no definate diagnosis but he did get IV antibiotics while at the ER. Follow up with regular doctor - he reordered the blood work - waiting on the results.
Mark went for his semi-annual blood work/doctor's appointment. The EKG showed some change so a stress test was ordered, he failed...He said he felt fine but his heart was throwing out all sorts of different rhythms. So back to the family doctor we went - you know after receiving the call from the doctor's office and wondering what is going on...so he referred Mark to a cardiologist. We went to that appointment on Thursday. He has an ultra sound of his heart on the 12th, and possibly a cath to be scheduled after the results of the ultra sound are available. So he has been to the lab, doctor, hospital for stress test, doctor, cardiologist, doctor...I told his regular doctor that they were going to start charging me chair rent. Jason has been to urgent care/er/doctor/lab waiting to hear if he has to go back.

And night before last David slipped down the last few basement steps, he shin on one leg is all scratched up, and his pinky toe on the other foot is quite sore...I keep wondering if I should take him somewhere for x-rays on that foot...

Anyway, waving hi to everyone.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Sandy your family has had more than it's share of troubles lately! I hope it all works out and everyone is A-OK. Did you get David checked out? It might be wise to go get x-rays to make sure nothing is fractured....
I would say you deserve a cruise!
I am feeling blah and just want to cry.I have no idea why. I am so sick of feeling like this!
We closed on our house yesterday....walked away with $6500.....it makes me so sick to think about it but at least it is sold and we can move on.
Sandy, let us know how everyone is doing. Hugs to you.

Peggy - Oh sweetie - I hope you are feeling lots better. I am sending you big hugs.

Mark had his echocardiogram today - guess we'll hear from the doctor as to what the next step is. Jason had his blood work repeated, his white count is up to 6.3 from 3 and all the other tests were negative so hopefully whatever it was he was fighting has now ran its course and he'll be back to normal. David still complains of his toe hurting - it isn't swollen or anything so I don't know what the problem is there. The health plan we were forced to change to as of the first of this year STINKS! The coverage is horrible. We used to have a $20.00 co-pay for doctor's visits, it is now 20% after you meet a 350 deductible per person. So instead of 20.00 for Mark's first visit it's $236.00 and they only apply 128.15 of that to the 2011 deductible. And he has been to a cardiologist, back to the family doctor, stress test, back to the family doctor - the bills are going to get ugly. I'll let you know what the doctor has to say about the echo results once I know something.

Waving Hi to everyone.

Hugs,

Hello Ladies:

We have had some very hot weather, but at least it's not rain or snow...

We hadn't heard anything from the cardiologist about the echo - so I called them today. They called back and advised Mark that everything looks okay. He is not taking 1 prescription drug and 1 aspirin each day. Other than that he is supposed to go back to the cardiologist in September.

Jason finally was able to get into the doctor (he changed to Mark's) and he had his blood work redone, his white count is up, he hasn't had any fever, so whatever it was must have been a virus of some sort and the iv antibiotics from the ER took care of them.

David is getting better. He never did have any swelling or bruising so I'm guessing nothing was broke. His scrape is healing also.

That is my update...sorry to keep you waiting for it, but like I said we just heard from the doctor earlier this afternoon.

Waving Hi to everyone

Hope all is well with everyone.

Hugs,

Oh isn't is sooo frustrating waiting for the Dr to call? It sounds like things are under control, thank goodness!
Thanks for the update.
I hope everyone is having a fun summer.

Cheryl - I am so glad to see you drop in. I am so very sorry your funk is so bad...I know how hard it is to shake it at times. I hope you get out of it soon.

Peggy - you too - I know it is horrible being in a funk. Hopefully soon you'll be able to kick it.

Nothing new here. I am staying indoors - I copied the following from one of the news stories from our online paper...

The weather service says the humidity will make Ohio's already scorching temperatures feel as hot as 115.

Hope you all are staying cool.

Hugs
