There is a flaker list currently on 2peas but the original thread pea isn't a regular on the swapping site so a few of us regular hostesses have decided to open a new thread keeping this list updated. I have copied and pasted from the previous thread. The purpose of this thread is for new swappers and all hostesses to be aware of these fellow swappers who (without communicating to the hostess) have flaked on one or more swaps. Feel free to let me know if you are aware of anyone else that needs to be added to (or deleted from) the list.

Regarding my swaps, I WILL refer to this list and if anyone who requests to join my SS swaps are on this list and have NOT communicated to the hostess in a reasonable amount of time (5 days from when swap is due)therefore will not be participating in my SS swaps.
Due to the nature of my swaps where a significant amount of money is contributed to the overall package for SS's, I will refer to this list to help ensure my SS swaps are a great experience for all.
Certain circumstances may allow for participation when on this list but I hold that decision to my discretion. I will take past positive swap participation (within the last 5 years of my swaps and continued positive swap participation - 3+ SS swaps) into consideration. |

One thing I do want to add... anytime any of these people listed starts swapping again and gets in a good swap status, they will be removed from the flaker list. Everyone deserves a chance to swap again (unless they have MULTIPLE swap histories that continue to repeat themselves and NOT make up for it) and it will be up to the hostess to accept that person in her swap. |

On that note, I will communicate with you guys regarding those that do not follow through in my swaps to keep this current list consistent. And being that I have hosted swaps here for quite a few years before the swap/pals board was developed, if I do recognize someone that "flaked" from my swaps(s) from the past and was an overall bad experience, I will notify you, the hostess, of my ordeal such as my recent peamail regarding certain swappers as of late.

Very disappointed to announce I am officially listing VERONICA MERAS - DESIGNSBYMERAS to the list.
Lack of following guidelines, communication and not following through have barred her from any future swaps I host.  Very frustrated for her to flake, especially in a swap of this nature. Angels are in place to include her partner, Laura, in the swap as she rightly deserves.

ScapinCT...you sent me a peamail, and I responded the next day. And...you only sent me one message. I have it all in my inbox if you would like to see. I did NOT flake on that swap. I sent Jill TWO boxes, even after she was 5 weeks late sendind to me. And I told you what she sent me, which did not follow the guidelines.
As a side note...designsbymeras also flaked on two other swaps on another board recently. | |

I have updated the list to include countrygalscrpn who did not complete coryshilo's whimsy State box swap. I know that this swapper recently had a death in the family as she posted on the swap thread of this but did not tell the hostess or her partner that she needed to drop the swap and has not replied to any PMs sent by the hostess and her partner. Therefore I believe it is fair to add her to the flaker list. |

I hate hate hate that I have to add to this list.
Tessiepea Pea#262812 joined my Junk Journal swap in each of the 5 categories and I haven't been able to reach her. I know she was having some health difficulties so this could be the reason. Tessie noted on Sept. 11 that her swap had been mailed the week prior, no DC# was posted or given.
Hope we can clear this up soon. I see that she has a Gingerbread House swap she is hosting due in Nov.
Please let us know what happened Tessie, so we can move forward.

I have been in contact with Tessiepea, she has explained that the 50 pages that she promised to our swap were damaged in the mailroom of her husbands work (return postage and hostess gift stolen). Also, as far as I can gather the first set of 50 pages she made were damaged at her home during a poker game and had to be remade. She has also indicated some health issues. MRI test. Doctor visits.
We have now chatted via PeaMail and I am really not sure what else I can do as a hostess. I feel terrible so many bad things have happened to her through this. I wish she would have let me know sooner her status because I am sure someone would have stepped in to help her. Being in all 5 groups of the swap made for incomplete journals in every group. She has yet to post to the swap thread and explain what has happened to the other swappers or provide a DC# or photos she promised.
This is the information I have at this time and am providing it for other swappers and hostesses on this board. I am not labeling Tessie or being unfair. I feel terrible. Do with it what you will. I'm not the type of person that feels the need to argue with other members of the board about this.
I have been swapping on this board for many years and have hosted swaps not only on 2Peas but several other boards and groups. 10 plus years of mail art swapping. I am a fair and kind person and it is important to me to stay true to the deadlines and ship dates that I promise the people in my swaps. Like I stated in my previous post I hate that I have to post this. I have stopped swapping here because of these type of situations. It takes the joy out of it for me and sadly I should have stuck with my decision to not do swaps on this board.
I do feel like I have to stick up for the ladies in my swap that did complete, communicate and mail on time. They all sent gorgeous work and put their hearts into each creation to share with other people. That's a big deal and I feel protective of them. |

You clearly said on sign up what the due date was and to please "check in once a week". You did nothing wrong. As of 9/18 I am including tessiepea on the list due to the fact that pages have not been received by the hostess of the Junk Journal Swap (aimmers). This conduct is unusual for this particular swapper and her name will be removed from the list once an agreement is made between the hostess and the swapper (pages will be remade or whatever is decided).
A point is to be made here. If the hostess has NO communication with a swapper for over 2 weeks PAST a due date, what (as the hostess) are we to think? Just sit back and continue giving more time and disregard the people who have followed the rules? The point is...COMMUNICATION with the hostess!!!! This absolutely can not be stressed enough. Everyone is willing to wait a day or two for unforeseeable problems or we have angels step up and fill in when needed, but it is NOT acceptable to just leave a hostess hanging without any word as to what is going on.
I am in no way making any reference to the above comment to be directed as tessiepea in particular, and in no way am bashing on her as a swapper, just to make this clear. I hope things work themselves out soon!  |

I have added ThePaperThumb and mqlb6 to the list as they flaked on alainaraper22's Altered Bingo Cards and Altered Library Card swap that was due on 9/8.
I try to keep an eye out on all swaps going on and any swappers that flake, but if you notice (as a hostess) that I have missed someone, please let me know (either on here or via PM). |

Alaina, she may have contacted you but IMO this post is 9 days after your due date (DD 9/8 FIRM) and based on the Urban dictionary definition of a flaker [a person who bails out on a commitment at the very last minute] is true. Therefore, I believe she needs to be kept on the list. It is still up to any hostess to let her participate in their swap and is always at their own discretion.

Flakers are one thing but scammers are another. They usually come around Xmas to clean up on holiday gift box type swaps. Ironically I've had great Xmas swaps/memories with some of the peas on the flaker list above. lol Something tells me that 'Darlene' is a 14 year old middle school kid. |

Becky, thanks for helping me out by putting mrsgarzzzza on the list. I did get 2 pea mails from her, BUT did not get the swaps out in time, in fact she was almost 2 weeks past the due dates!  . I asked her 2 times to please post on the board for her reasons & I have yet to see it. You rock girl for doing & updating this list! |

Good call Becky. I was at a loss personally when sending her 6 sets of pennants and both shipments not being received but showed delivered.  I haven't had that issue before and wouldn't randomly send those, on my dime and supplies each time, without verification. My gut instinct went into high gear as no other explanations were plausible. |

I'm hoping that all CURRENT hostesses will look thru the list and see if anyone named on the list should be deleted as they have been in current swaps and "redeemed" themselves. I think there might be a couple but need to have confirmation from the hostesses so that I have accurate information. Thank you for helping keep this information up to date for other swappers and hostesses who enjoy swapping on 2peas. It would be great to have a flaker-free 2013! |

I can say countrygalscrappin contacted me immediately during Summer to drop from the Summer SS Swap from a recent family emergency that had her step away for awhile. She full-filled my requirements of contacting me and did not flake on anyone for this particular swap. |

I have updated the list and started a new list for 2013. Might be easier to keep track of for hostesses. Please let me know if anyone else needs to be added as we've been quiet on here for awhile, which I'm hoping is a good sign and means no flakers |
