I will open sign-ups soon for my holiday SS. Priority given to all who have participated in my swaps before. This swap can garner over 50 participant, unfortunately I can only have due to holiday obligations so be sure to keep your eyes open if you decide to join. It will also include a holiday ornament detailed in the questionnaire tailored to your tastes.

Thank you for expressing interest in joining our annual Fall Secret Sister Swap, your choice of a Fall or Halloween themed swap I host on 2 Peas. Our swap will be great fun for all. In order for our "fun factor" to be maintained & no one excluded, I have a strict set of guidelines that I have developed and refined over the last year.
Below are my guidelines of what's expected when participating in my swaps. Grant it, I cannot "guarantee" one will receive what her heart desires, however, when a SS does follow my guidelines pertaining to her questionnaire, then her gift package should be well received with various products from somewhere on her list. I do my darnest to weed out "flakers" - I haunt them down to the best of my ability & if nothing else, do my best to give the ones w/out something's, with the help of an angel or two that always come forth to step in. The "flaker" will NOT be able to participate in any of my swaps henceforth. I also communicate this knowledge to those that host other swaps on 2 Peas & vice-versa. This does help to create a great swapping environment for all to enjoy.
How to read and respond to the questionnaire when shopping:
By filling out the questionnaire, you are expressing interest in participating in our swap, therefore, I am concluding that you understand the requirements & will set forth to do your best to adhere to them. Please do not send past swap items or opened scrapbook products unless who you are being Secret Sister to does not have a problem with that. This swap is for new, unopened, unused scrapbook/stamp/paper craft items. Also it is imperative to note that product sent which is not listed on the Secret Sister's questionnaire is not allowed unless you are going above the minimum ( I set the minimum $ for swap continuity).
Examples: Please do not send brads to a gal who DOES NOT list brads anywhere on her questionnaire or wish-list. On the upside, please list products you enjoy using, like to receive & wouldn't mind having.
Also be mindful that when you list your favorite companies, that is allowing your Secret Sister another option of finding goodies she may wish to shop for you such
Example: Echo Park is listed as a favorite company. Your Secret Sister would be right on track by sending you Echo Park chipboard, ribbon, papers, etc UNLESS you specify otherwise - list you do not want chipboard, ribbon, etc. This note was added so that everyone understands their responsibilities as a Secret Sister which helps to ensure a great swap that we all, as Secret Sisters, can enjoy.
Swap communication guidelines:
Last but not least, you will be required to maintain communication with your Secret Sister on our swap thread.
I will be sending the directions on how to create a "secret id" once you have filled out your questionnaire & joined the swap.
Communication MUST be made, at least weekly, on our thread.
If you are not communicating weekly, I will try to contact you myself and if I do not hear from you within 3's days of time, I will freeze your place OR pull you from the swap with an angel in place.
By all means, please feel free to email your SS & send E-cards (just various ways SS's have communicated in the past,) in addition to Message Board posts. I, for one, like to utilize email, e-cards, & posts when communicating.
For those that are new, we welcome you aboard! You'll find we are fun group and love to communicate (that's evident by our thread pages). Emphasis is placed on communicating with your SS and vice-versa. I do request posting to/from SS's weekly but you'll see that conversations comes and go several times throughout the week. Not everyone posts that often due to a variety of factors and I cannot guarantee that your SS will be as vocal except for the required weekly posts (or I hope so). Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you have as I'm always here, open and willing.
Secret ID step:
It's very simple to create a "Secret ID" to use and is as follows,
Remember your current Two Pea's username & password as you're going to sign out of it then "resign-up again". You ONLY have to use a new name when creating a new account, you can use all your Two Pea's information for the rest (password, address (that will not be displayed, email) - but do not list your city/state - in lieu of that you can be creative & use Cupid's (city) Land (state) as example. To make things easier, I primarily use Firefox when webrowsing that stores my Two Pea's info but open up Safari to communicate to my Secret Sister's as I have it set up to remember my Secret Sign-In name for Two Peas but if you use just one browser then yes you will need to sign in & out respectively. Also be aware that even though you only need to contact your Secret Sis weekly, you are more than welcome to communicate more often - in the same regards, you may have messages to you throughout the week from yours so it would be of great help to respond (take a quick peak of the thread everytime you're on Two Pea's) as you SS may have pertinent questions needing answers regarding your gift (I suggest emailing directly if that's the case - all questionnaires have emails listed).

I'm halfway done with assignments.... Plan to get them emailed this evening.
Will take a bit of time to do but well worth the wait I hope!
This swap isn't due for 2 1/2 months so plenty of time to begin the search for that "special something". And be sure to take advantage of upcoming holiday sales such as Labor Day Weekend. I'll do my best to forward any coupon deals I am aware of. |

Hello Secretagentpea! I'm looking forward to this swap and getting to know you. Yes, I have had a great week so far! My son is having his work day for his Eagle Project tomorrow. I bought the album, pages, and sheet protectors MANY years ago, in the hopes this day would come. And now that it's here, all I can do is "freak" out. I think i would prefer to chat by email...only because although i can Read peamail, I am not able to Send peamail using my kindle fire! It's so annoying! I will continue to communicate on the board, but i know what you mean about writing under the wrong name!!! I have almost given myself up several times in past swaps!!! Lol!!
Well, it's about 3:30am over here in southern california & i have a BIG day of "shop hopping" ahead of me tomorrow!!! my bestie & i are traveling to 13 scrapbook stores tomorrow & 11 stores on Sunday!!! I can't wait!!! until next time, Shari | |
