Can we make a 3x4 group and a 4x6 group separate using the same words? I would hate to send in 4x6 cards and get 3x4 back. I would like to trade exactly what I send. Unless I am not reading the post right.
Also, I have some stamps, that are not listed, that I think would be cute on journaling cards. Could we open a generic group and we give you our sentiment? (I have Funny Face, You are my sunshine, Life's Beautiful, Laugh Out Loud, etc,)
Another thing (Becky you are going to shoot me...<<ducking>>lol) is I wanted to do some theme ones like baby, girl, boy, etc. However, now that I have typed all this up, do you want me to do a separate swap later on incorporating these ideas? I can understand if you do not want to do all this. |

Another thing I thought of ((ducking again))  is in each group to make one of the spots an open spot where you choose your saying. For instance, if you have no takers for a certain word, you can open it up to be anything... |

Ising....
This was my reasoning.....I was just going to do single words the first go round.....I was trying to figure this out. I have all the cutesy phrases still there, including the ones you mentioned. I came up with over 200 words/phrases for the swap and I figured if I placed that many I would never get it filled, especially this time of year.
So I thought I would just do words the first go round and then do the cutsey phrases the next time closer to the first of the year if this makes...
On the size...I was fearful to open up a group of each size....once again I didn't fill it would fill up. We could just go with one or the other??? I like the 3x4 size, but last night I was playing around with this and found that the opening in the 3x4 size varies ever so slightly in the Becky Higgins page protectors. One opening was 3x4 and the one next to it is 2 3/4 x 4.
I am sure hoping I am making myself clear and that I answered your questions.......lol!
If a particular word is not choosen I always open it up for choices. So yes you choose your words....these are just general words that I thought could be used with alot of situations....
If you can think of a way to do this differently....I am game...I was just trying to make as simple as I could the first go round. |

Hey Becky! No worries! This is your swap gal and you do what is comfortable for you. I made a list today of the stamps I have. Tomorrow morning I will compare that to what is listed and sign up for some spots.
On the size difference for the PL plastics, BH noted that a batch of them were not manufactured properly. That may be the difference.

Group 5: GORGEOUS
Group 6: TUESDAY
Also, I love making journal cards, so I can take some more spots, if needed. I will wait a bit to make sure everyone has a chance to sign up. A little tip about the size of the cards, if anyone is going to use chipboard or something that has a tiny bit of dimension, you will want to cut your card a little less than 3" otherwise it will not fit in the pocket because the chipboard will take some room. For home, I plan on putting little chipboard houses by Jenni Bowlin, so I will have to cut my card a little less than 3" wide, but still 4" tall.

Hi
I'll help fill this even though I don't do project life. I figure they will make nice journaling spots for any page or even a note in a lunch box type thing.
A question, though, since I am not familiar with the specifics of PL...will the back side of the journaling card show in your books? I am guessing no, but just want to make sure that these aren't double sided since I *think* they go in clear pocket type pages.
Also, is it OK if we use machine stitching as an embellishment? Or use it anyway, even if it doesn't count as an embellishment?
And, just to clarify...it doesn't matter if these are landscape or portrait in orientation?

Ok....I had such a response today and I hate to turn away people, SOOOO I went up to 12 some of the sets. So there are a few spots left in most groups. Some are full. So I will see what happens over the next few days and what fills.
Minnesota*Mom..sewing on the pages is awesome...What alot of people have found in the Project life page protectors if the block is too thick it will not insert well. So that is why I specified only flat items or not thicker than a wood veneer. Also you choose whether landscape or portrait.
SO please let you imagination go on decorating these...just remember not to thick! |
