4 x 6 PL journaling cards? We have done 2 3 x 4 swaps, but none in the 4x6 size. If enough interest I will do that next....not due until the end of Februaryish....otherwise will be set up like the rest.

What I am thinking is half of the 4x6 block for a pic and the other half for journaling.

I am not. Just because I don't use4x6 to journal much and it's easy to cut a 4x6 from coordinating paper. But others may be interested

I may be. I have never done journaling cards before so if you can show an example I will tell you if I am interested. I really like doing the swaps, so I would like to participate in whatever size you do.

I actually do not use 4x6 either....I was kinda thinking along the lines of half journaling and the other half for a small pic...like 3x3 size.. The only way I would use that size is if I had a lot to say....usually I only need a 3x4 for journaling...

Well, maybe if you did open a 4x6 card category, you could post a sketch for everyone to follow with a 3x4 photo mat on one side and journal lines on the other side? That could be fun

ok...I have had alot od people express interest in a filler swap. I will try to organize it over the next couple of days and get posted.

Any ideas on exactly what you would want to see in this swap would be appreciated. I have my thoughts, but let me hear yours also...

I did a quick pinterest search to see what I liked. I didn't want to post a bunch of individual links but here is my project life board. Filler cards are near the top if anyone wants to look. Project life board

Someone from SC just sent me a "kit" and I love it ! There are enough cards to do a Design A page. She did one "header" 4x6 card, a plain 4x6 card for mounting a photo and 4 3x4 cards all from the same line of paper. I put it to use immediately.

Other than that, a generic header card group would be cool.

The only thing that has made it hard to put some of these cards to use us that they are all kinds of patterns and colors. They are beautiful! But, I like all of my elements on the page to match and to also match my pictures. Maybe color combo categories?

What about themes? A valentine, Easter, "kit" that has two landscape 4x6 and 4 3x4 cards that all match.

We could portrait orientation too. It might be good to include which direction the 4x6 or 3x4 is so we know which PL design page they will fit in to.

Anyway....those are my 2cents for all it's worth....lol... Also, I do like your 4x6 idea. If that is what you want to host, I can host a. "Kit@ swap. I've been looking for one to host.

Andrea I love the idea of a kit. That way the embellishments and colors all work together. How would that work with so many different styles of protectors? I really like the idea of kits.

Renee, you could sign up for one of two styles: Design A two landscape 4x6 (1 as a title/header card and one for a photo mat) and 4 3x4 portrait cards. Design B, two portrait 4x6, 4 3x4 cards landscape. How does that sound?

If its ok with Becky, I will open a kit swap.

I love the idea of both the "kits" and the filler cards. I am loving project life, but find myself using the journal cards from our swaps over the ones I bought since I feel like they have a more "personal" feel.

I am playing with opening a thread now. I am waiting to hear from Becky, I don't want to step on her toes. I think she is going to open a 4x6 card swap. I can do the kit one. I want to include Valentine's and Easter kits as well. I think it would fun to have those. Are there any other ideas?

Also, I would probably need to do it as a one on one swap because who wants 8 kits of Valentines day, right? I am trying to think of how that would work.

Maybe do theme in themes? So a holiday theme and one person would do 5 valentine's, one would do 5 Easter, one would do 5 4th July, one would 5 Christmas, one would do 5 Halloween, etc and then they would get one of each back? Or a girl theme (all dressed up, Feeling pretty, etc), boy theme (All boy, Just like dad. etc), family theme(game night, camping trip, vacation, Etc) with different events or things associated with that theme?

You could do the same thing with colors - a neutral group(brown, tan, white, black, silver, etc), a cool color group (blue, turqoise, purple, green and a warm color group (red, pink, yellow, orange).

Another way to do it might have everyone pick a paper line that they would do theirs around?

Just throwing out some thoughts for you

Oh, that's a good idea Shilo. So one person would make the Valentines kits, and another Easter. Everyone sends in five of the same kit, but gets five different holidays back...hmmm!! Very good! I am working on posting the thread. I pmailed Becky. I know she is probably sleeping. Since the kits are different from the 4x6 card swap, Id on't think she will mind. Look for an upcoming thread!!!
