I know a few of you were asking about her surgery yesterday so I thought I'd give a little update.
I talked to her DH this morning and he said the surgery went very well.
The tumor came out cleanly and the markers around it came back negative. They did not have to take her teeth 
They also didn't have to use her fibula for reconstruction however they did have to use the tissue and sinew around it.
Her DH said that other than a scar along the side of her nose, she still looks beautiful. With any luck, she'll be home on Saturday (which she really wants because Halloween is a big thing for their 9 yr. old DD.)
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers while she recovers from this big surgery. |

Thank for the update. I lover her husband's comment on her beauty. Sounds like she has a good one there. Please let her know that we are pulling for her and can't wait until she fully recovers to get back here. |

I'm so glad all went well! What an amazing support system she has with her husband, daughter and friends like you Kathy.
Sharon is a beautiful person inside and out and I hope her recovery is quick and that she'll be back to her old cancer-free self soon! |

Kathy, thank you for the update. I've been thinking of her all week and was hoping you would be able to keep us posted.
Send her our love and let her know she has an entire message board pulling for her. The update is such great news! It sounds like she is going to make a full recovery. And YAHOO about her being able to be home in time for Halloween (bless her heart). |
