My first blog was started about 2 yrs ago and has exactly 2 posts. I was begged to start one and didn't quite see the point. I started another blog in Feb. of this year as a way to get my writing out there as well as sharing tips on getting published. I struggled and hunted down all of the info on getting published from several books and countless websites. I hope to make it easier for others.
I review "Buttoned Up" books because they are within the genre that I am aiming for. Those authors have literary agents that would be ideal for my books.

I started my scrapbook blog over 3 years ago because I am truly obsessed with scrapbooking and I wanted someone to "talk to" who would understand. I have IRL friends who scrapbook but I only see them at crops every few months, and we talk about scrapbooking for hours while we scrap. But I got tired of holding all my good info for crops, LOL! DH calls it "crap-booking," so you can see I get no support at home, lol ...

So I started my blog as a place where I could write down all the thoughts I was having on the industry (which was much more hoppin' and not quite so depressing at the time). I also wanted to share the deals I found, talk about SB events I went to, what was going on at my LSS's (used to have 7, now have none), drool over new products, tell scrappers what TV shows and movies featured scrapping, etc.

About a year ago, I started incorporating my thoughts and experiences about being a scrapbook consultant, in the hopes that I can save others from making any mistakes I did, share what's been successful for me, and again ... drool over all the new products Also, I'm often asked questions about becoming a consultant and it's nice to have one place I can refer people to for information.

Due to the economy, I've had to work a lot more hours and I don't get to blog as much as I used to, and I REALLY REALLY miss it. I so enjoy the comments people leave ... even just looking at my blog stats and seeing that people do read what I'm sharing. It makes me feel really good inside. I truly enjoy the exchanges I have there about scrapbooking and I think I'll keep doing my blog forevah!

To share with friends and family what's going on in our life. It's a good way for me to keep track of milestones so I can go back and scrapbook them later. Sometimes I hope that my homeschooling posts might give ideas for other families. I don't plan on becoming famous with my blog, but I do like sharing my pictures with people from this board because usually it's only my on-line friends that make me feel like I'm not talking to myself.

I started mine back when a lot of Peas were; summer of 2005 I think? Since then, it's changed focus a lot, but my life has changed a lot... it was random stream of consciousness stuff at first, and then turned into a wedding planning blog, then our first year of marriage (buying and decorating our house) and then I got pregnant and it was how we kept far-away family informed of my progress. When Max was born 3 months early, it was how I was able to keep people updated on a regular basis and share photos and such; much easier to email a blog link than to have to make a dozen phone calls every night! Now, it's mostly a repository for photos of Max; my ILs live 4 hours away and can't get enough of him, so it's an easy way to keep them in the loop on his life.

My Get Outta Here blog is to support my travel agency in a more creative way than merely repeating hotel deals around the world at my Facebook fan page and Twitter.

My restaurant blog at Uptake is because they pay me.

Originally, I started my blog thinking it would be an extension of my digital design business, hence the "creative junkie" name. But I wound up closing my business so I just started writing about anything and everything on my blog and it kind of grew from there. I found that I really enjoyed writing as a creative outlet.

I wish I knew where I was going with my blog when I registered my domain name. I would have chosen a name with a little more flair, like "I Named My Dishwasher Gertrude" or something equally as impressive.

I started blogging to connect with other historical costumers. When I started it, I was pretty much the only one who does it seriously in NZ, so I really needed people to bounce ideas off and get feedback from.

I do blog about a lot of things other than historical costuming - I have too many interests to be confined to a strictly one-topic blog, and I prefer reading personality blogs to one-topic blogs. I like to become 'friends' with my readers and the bloggers I read, and my friends know more about me than that I sew.

My husband feels the same way about my books / reading. I guess it is just nice to know that there are other people out there that care about the same stuff we do.

I have no idea. I'm in a serious blog funk right now and am considering either starting a fresh new blog or stopping altogether.

I started my blog to give digital freebies away and to keep my customers up to date. Now, I have added reviews/giveaways, as well as crafty inspiration posts. It's fun.

I started my blog to share my hockey photos with my fellow hockey loving peas. My photobucket started filling up, so I started a blog. I didn't show the blog to any of my hockey friends, I didn't think they'd take it seriously. After a few months, people started coming up to me in the arena and telling me they loved my blog, so I've gotten more into it.

Awww, Buttoned, the time to have been jealous of my restaurant blog was last year. At this moment, I've written approximately 150 stories about what I ate in a restaurant. I'm running out of things to say, even if it is a different restaurant every time.

I started my blog so family and friends could follow our adoption story! We are now home 7 1/2 months and doing great with our two boys. Update it about every week or so, or when something big happens now.

I blog to keep a record of the little moments and happenings of our life that I would otherwise forget about. I have started so many journals in my life and never, not once, have I ever written more than a few entries. I am forever grateful that I had just started my first blog a few days before I met my husband. I have our story in writing and I wouldn't have otherwise.

I love seeing our daily drival amount to what is actually a big part of our journey togetehr as a family.

I started it so out-of-town relatives and friends have a place to catch up on our lives here in Michigan. I'm now finding that it is a creative outlet as well. I haven't been keeping up on it as much as I want to. I would have to start it at the same time that we started a bunch of home-improvement projects. (Which has sucked the life out of me.). Plus my dad has been sick. Hopefully when the dust settles, I can delve more into this hobby and learn more about it. My blog needs some tweaking.

Love your blog, btw.

Amen to that. I think my blog keeps the order in my life that I need during our 2 yr renovation. My kitchen still has plywood countertops. Can't wait til we 'get er dun.'
Good luck with yours! Your blog feels so peaceful that you would never know that your life was sucked out of you.

It's mostly random rambling stream of consciousness fluff. Rarely anything of importance, and sometimes utter and complete B.S. just to jack with people. I used to blog more seriously, like a journal or diary, until a couple of people went through years of old entries and picked out and pieced together details about my life that I didn't think that anybody would figure out from what I posted. So, I put up a metaphoric wall and deleted all the entries that fell on the "private" side of that wall, and stopped posting anything of much importance. I'm frankly surprised that I even have readers. It always tickles me when I check my blog controls and see that people have visited it. I wonder what the heck they find interesting about me. But I keep doing it.

I started my blog in 2007 as a way to keep my mom up to date on things going on with my kids lives. She lived in a different state and I didn't want her to miss out on the every day stuff. At the end of 2008 my mom relocated to live near us so I let it die. That and my one aunt wouldn't stop sending me emails about every detail she thought would send axe murders or pedophiles my way. She got made when I said my ds was in Pre-school with Ms. F. (Even though that wasn't even her actual initials and I didn't mention his school)

In July of last year we moved to Chicago. I decided that it would be a good way to keep up with all of our family in AZ and then when I got started I realized it would be a really great way to journal our time here. It is just a fantastic city and we've had a unique way of viewing the city. We live here but it's like a "vacation for a year" too. So I've been sure to document everything "Chicago".

Now more than my mom read my blog. And so I plan on keeping it going even when it's not for my family. But for myself as a way to remember. I have always wanted to journal, and now I have found a way to do that in a way that works for me.
