DH gave me my birthday present early -- a Wifi Kindle. I am in LOVE. (With DH, as well as the Kindle.) My birthday isn't until the 12th, but the box arrived with the word KINDLE all over it (apparently the shipping box and the item box are the same thing).

I love it -- it's so light, it's crazy. I had been using my iPad's Kindle app, but now when I hold the iPad, it feels like I'm reading while holding a brick.

I've already ordered a case for it from etsy -- I found that I kept accidentally pushing the "next page" and "previous page" buttons because of the way I hold it. (I honestly don't see any way to hold it and NOT push those buttons.) The case I ordered will hopefully allow me to hold the edges of the case.

Anyway -- I've gone crazy looking for free Kindle books, and I'm spending way too much money on books. And I'm also looking for usage tips, etc. Any ideas, KindlePeas?

I'm pretty sure there are several, but the board over at Amazon is a great place to get started. There's a poster that lists the free books every day and there's lots of info on Indy authors. I've found several new favorites from peoples recommendations over there.

Thanks, HJ!

You know, I've been meaning to tell you -- long ago, I downloaded your Chinese font. I've used it a million times. DD was adopted from China, so it came in mighty handy for scrapbooking.

Thank you!
