Has anyone tried the WEN system? I'm enticed by the advertising, but want to be grounded in reality before I spend the $.

I tried it for a few months and just ended up with very limp, lifeless hair. Almost greasy looking, at times. When I cancelled, I was told by the customer service folks that my results were due to my using the product incorrectly. Yeah, whatever. I cancelled anyway.

I can't stop watching those infomercials!!! I'd be tempted to try it if I thought I had any problems with my hair, but I think it looks good, so I don't think I'm willing to invest that much.

I was tempted to try it (haven't seen the infomercials) when a pea posted on the thread I was following that she uses Mane 'N Tail. I decided "what the heck" and went and bought the Mane 'N Tail instead. I really like it! I think it has worked very well on my thin hair, I don't seem to be losing as much of it to the comb, and it seems to give my hair a bit more body than the Jason's (for thin hair) I was using.

I haven't looked back.

I thought about the WEN for dd but after doing research found a great shampoo called Hair One at Sallys that is only 12 dollars and according to all the reviews is pretty much the same. She has used it on her hair for about a month now and loves it. Her hair is naturally curly, she is mixed and has dry not coarse hair. I have heard that the WEN company is miserable to work with.

I used it for 9 months and then stopped because it was expensive. I was also riding my motorcycle more and the tangles I got wouldn't come out with the WEN like they did when I put a huge amount of conditioner on in the shower to comb.

Then over the summer my hair started breaking. So I know that my hair likes the no sulfate type conditioner shampoos rather than traditional shampoo. I'll finish off my bottle of WEN, then head to Sally's to try the similar products.

I used it and loved it, but at the time my hair was long (between my shoulder blades) and my hair is very thick, so the bottle that is supposed to be a 30 day supply only lasted me two weeks. I wash my hair every other day. The instructions say to use 5 pumps persection of hair, so like 25 pumps for those of us with long, thick hair, every time. It just costs too much money to use that much. but I did love it, and if it was cheaper, I would use it. I actually may try again since I just cut 5 inches off my hair recently.

My MIL ordered it for my DD. I've used it on her hair and on my hair. In my opinion, it's okay but not worth the expense so we will be returning it before the 60 days expires and we are charged $107 for a 3 month supply.

This is DD's hair. I will check out the Hair One you mentioned. What other products do you use on it that you like? Have you tried the Tangle Teaser? BEST product I have purchased in years for curly hair. Truly a miracle brush, cuts through the tangles like butter!

I have fine, flat hair. I have been using Wen for about 3 months. I meticulously follow the directions. When i didn't get good results, i used more product and let it set for a longer time.

The only difference is my hair is softer. It was soft before, hence the lack of volume. I don't have the shine or moisturized ends that I wanted.

I'll try the other products mentioned here, as Wen is disappointingly NOT worth it.

I tried it a bunch of times and went through many bottles. I finally decided it was overrated. It is nothing special.

Thanks for the reviews--I will give the stuff at Sally's a try!
