So...my friend just had a party and I was supposed to have one after her, but we dont' think we are being told the whole truth by the consultant...

You cannot have product shipped to the individual customers house? It is best to have things shipped to the consultant even though we're paying 8% shipping EACH? What about backordered product?

Hostess have to pay shipping and tax (I understand the tax) on their "free product?" Hostesses cannot use their "free product credit" on hostess specials or half price items? they have to pay out of pocket for those?

What is the $5 deal on the utility tote for October. How many are you allowed per hostess?

Thanks

You cannot have product shipped to the individual customers house?

*Yes you can. The reason some consultants have it shipped to themselves is to be able to check the orders/products to make sure everthing looks okay and to bag it up in a pretty presentation. This also helps if there are any issues with the order. It's easier for her to do the return if she has the product in hand as opposed to having to get it from the customer.

It is best to have things shipped to the consultant even though we're paying 8% shipping EACH? What about backordered product?

*You pay the 8% on the order total. If there is a backorder, they ship it at no additional charge because it's already been paid.

*You will pay the 8% shipping even if it ships to the consultant. Either way, you pay 8%.

Hostess have to pay shipping and tax (I understand the tax) on their "free product?" Hostesses cannot use their "free product credit" on hostess specials or half price items? they have to pay out of pocket for those?

*The hostess does NOT pay Tax (Nothing to tax) and shipping on free product, only items they pay for.

What is the $5 deal on the utility tote for October. How many are you allowed per hostess?

*I don't have the flyer with me. I will look it up and answer this for you shortly.

Thanks

How do returns work...I am not happy with my soft wallet and my wristlet strap I ordered to go with it is on backorder. It took a month to get the initial order, so I don't want to waiti another month for my strap.

Okay, the answer to the Oct. hostess special is: hostess specials are always a limit of 1 per party. If you wanted more of them, you could use your 1/2 price and get one for $15 or or hostess credit and get another one for free.

Does that help?

Return policy: 90 days of receipt of the order. Personalized items may only be returned due to a manufacturer defect, or upon further review by the company.

The wrist strap is actually due to ship out this week, according to the business update.

I thought you had to pay an extra $4 to have it shipped to an individual's house. For example, it could go to the hostess or the consultant for 8%. However, if you want your personal order to come to your own house, it was 8% plus $4.

Stacy, you only pay the extra $4 if it is entered as a retail order and not a party order. In other words, if your order is part of a $200 party, it's 8% shipping. If you put in an individual order, it's 8% plus the $4.

oooh. I'm going to my first 31 party on Friday night. I'm kinda excited. What is the bag again that everyone loves? Utility or something? I think I need one, too.

If a guest from the party would like their order to go to THEIR home instead of the hostess - they do have to pay the extra $4 and are marked as a direct ship under that party order.

You want the Organizing Utility Tote - which is on sale for $7 when you spend $31 in the month of October. It's an awesome tote!!!

thanks, Claudia (I just checked back here, and then I asked the hostess what the 31 lady's name is, because I'm local to you)

We're doing a party next week after work. I have the organizing tote and my coworkers all want one so it worked out well that it's the October special. I have a feeling a lot of orders will be placed and since I'm the hostess, I'll probably have some nice ordering options. I have no idea what I should get, any suggestions?

I love 31, but am NOT a consultant. I am so getting that $7 special with a $31 order...I want to put one of those file holders in it and tote it to work!

Lucy how was the party.

I put in my info on line to be contacted by a consultant but did not hear back. Maybe I could get the consultants info from you if you liked her. I think we live fairly close to each other. I am in Fairfield.

I really liked the looks of the utility totes. My friend loves Gigi Hill but they are so expensive.

hi Patti, nice to see you here ... it's been a while.

The party was fine. It wasn't really a party, it was a crop, but the 31 consultant came by, had dinner, hung around for awhile, and did a very quick and casual presentation. I bought a large utility tote (not sure that's the right name) for my Cricut and a square tote to put in my car.

The consultant drove over from Antioch, so I don't know if Fairfield is too far for her, but I can send you her contact info if you want it. Or you could talk to Claudia (mnm y2, posted above). It sounds as though she may be a consultant, and I think she's also in the East Bay.

ETA I thought the prices were very reasonable.

About the tax on "free" items. It actually depends on the state you are in. In Indiana, you DO have to pay tax on the "free" items. They base it on the value of the item.
