Hi - just wondering how your quilting bee is structured! Meet monthly, weekly, WIP? Do you meet in different homes or local quilt shops?
Any info would be great!

Do you mean a Modern Quilting Guild? I do. We meet at a local fabric store once a month.

My stepmom and her friends have a bee. They meet weekly and take turns at each other's houses. They also go away at least 1x a year together.

I've been involved in several over the years. (We are military and move a lot.)
They all have met weekly and it's mostly a "stitch and bitch" time. Not that we all do a lot of complaining. That's just what we call it! Early on I got great advice on being a military spouse. Then it was advice on pets and later on, kids. Sort of like here!
Occasionally we would find a new technique and share that. We would make road trips to quilt shops and guild speakers, too. We would split shipping on mail orders and share great fabrics. I'd love to find a group here.

Thanks! We do have a guild here. I will go to my first meeting next week. I see a link for area bees but there is no info like no one has started one. Just trying to see what works with people.
Love to hear more!
