all I saw was the very end.

The team was investigating the disappearance (then murder once she was found) of a fellow NCIS colleague from the gun lab team. Turns out she was killed by the jealous girlfriend of one of her coworkers.
The side story was about the team's emotional fallout of the bombing. Abby is having a particularly difficult time (having nightmares about the autopsy la and admits the whole thing brought out her fears of being alone. Gibbs reminded her that she could reach out to her brothers. Including the one brother who doesn't know she is his sister. She finally takes the plunge and the very end is the result. She brings him back to meet Gibbs and promptly falls asleep.

Abby's brother, Kyle Davis, is played by Daniel Louis Rivas, who is actually Perrette's ex-boyfriend. "I've been saying for years, ever since they mentioned Abby had a brother, that I know the actor that has to play it," Perrette says. "He was my boyfriend years ago, and we look so much alike. He has my same crazy eyes. People always thought that we were brother and sister. ... So, I started putting it on Twitter, and my followers started a huge Twitter campaign. And it worked!"
