That was really funny. Of course, "ability to perform stand up comedy" isn't one of the criteria I look at when casting my vote. But it was funny.

Why what could possibly go wrong? Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

I would vote for her if I could.

But instead I get Jesse Jackson Jr. who hasn't been seen in public for four months, is apparently too sick to report for work, but yet well enough to be at home writing a book. Oh, and he needs to sell his million dollar plus Washington DC home (despite the fact that both he and his wife represent Illinois) because his medical bills are a little hard to handle because apparently Congress has shitty medical coverage.

As a fellow Illinoisian I feel your pain. Did you hear his wife saying they need to get the House of Representatives back so he can be one step closer to chairing the Appropriations Committee? Really? Don't know if she has educated herself on her husband's illness, but when a bi-polar person is manic they tend to spend money - lots of it. Just what we need!

Yes, what a tool she is. That whole family is a freak show. And it's not just a case of someone being mentally or physically ill. It's a case of someone getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar and being made to face the consequences, so he goes into hiding with a tummy ache and to take a nap. And then he writes a book about God only knows what. All while preventing someone else from running in his place.

Although as a Republican, I guess I can thank my lucky stars that my district isn't represented at all instead of being represented by him.

Interesting how the truth makes something like that even more funny, huh?

Yeah, we can laugh now but we are going to be crying later.

The bill passed without being read. I can still hear Nancy Pelosi telling us "we have to pass it so you can find out what's in it."

I guess the sunshine laws don't apply anymore?
