a thesis on the peer pressure of social networks or online interactions?

Or some experiment in human interaction? Or maybe even an upcoming episode of Punk'd.

I'm not pointing out anyone in particular, because truthfully more than one comes to mind, but I'm not talking about just one particular thread - I'm talking about a pattern of thread after thread after thread of some level or another of weirdness.

I find myself saying under my breath "this Pea seriously can't be for real" on a daily basis.

Yes, and I expressed that precise thing on a thread today.

Well Peas, I believe this thread has gone Thrusday.

Wait! Didn't we have a pea who was doing that? Around the last election? It's sort of ringing a bell.

I have been saying for years that I would love to get my PhD in anthro and write my dissertation on the peas and pea culture. It's fascinating, all the rules we have here.

I didn't write a paper around the last election but I did include a part of a research paper on 2peas. It was for a Classical Sociological Theory class about human interactions. I think that was in 2006 or 2007. Not sure. I didn't talk about it any here. (I don't think). I just "observed".

I think we can all think of one specific pea who's been called out multiple times recently for just this.

There's another pea who I think is thisclose to some kind of breakdown. She keeps posting really vitriol filled things that seem a touch out of character. It's kinda freaking me out. Like her posts are ALL an intense overreaction to the discussion at hand. Really strange. She must be dealing with something in her life...

Don't talk about me like I'm not here.

Actually, I can think of 3 or 4 people that could apply to.

Honestly for some I really feel bad. I know my life has been completely crazy at times. Even this last month just about did me under with all of the issues with my grandma and my own health. I am glad I took a break from the pod when I needed to. It was healthier for me and I am in much better space now even though I still struggle with trials. I am trying not to get too keyed up about the election so most political threads I skip. I mostly worry about those peas going through big trials though and hope they have the support system that they need. I have thought especially of those going through cancer or with a family member going through cancer and those dealing with mental health issues for their children. And also those going through divorces because I am seeing a lot of my friends going through the same thing.

I am sometimes shocked at the level of nastiness over seemingly small issues.

I thought one of the requirements of being a pea was you have to be a little cray cray =) Maybe I'm on the wrong messageboard
