So this acquaintance (I'll call her Ella) posts on FB. She makes it "sound" like she is talking about the debate.

Here is her post:

"All i heard was yelling, dancing around questions and no explanations of plan...next time answer the questions and share your plan."

I think Ella's BFF (I'll call her Lois) played her a recording of a conversation that Lois and I had. I didn't give Lois permission to record me, but that's a whole 'nother story.

So I posted. "Who are you talking about?"

Someone else guessed the debate. Ella never came back to the thread. Lois did, but she avoided the question.

If it were the debate, Ella would have just said so.

What do you think? Let it go? Confront? Ignore?

I thought about putting something like: "Just because you don't know the plan or the answers doesn't mean they don't exist."

I apologize in advance. I am super busy the next 2-3 days, but I will try to get back to this thread when I can!

TIA!

Lisa

I think I'd probably ignore it - even if you called her out on it she could insist she meant the presidential debate and it would get you nowhere (except to be more frustrated!)

I might also consider losing her off my friends list!

Ignore. Vaguebooking should never be rewarded with a response.

I cannot understand from the OP why you think It's all about you.

It's generally not all about me and not you either. Maybe I am missing something but I don't get it.

Why would someone be recording your conversations and playing them to other people?

I would go out tonight but I haven't got a stitch to wear.

Are you sure Lois recorded your conversation? If so, why would she? How do you knowshe did?

Sounds like the problem is with Lois, not Ella.

I would ignore the whole thing

I'll admit that your post isn't really clear on some things, but it just leads to the question: Is there any need to have drama queens in your life?

My first thought was:

You have a plan? Is it better than Mitt's or Obama's. Because we ARE desperately in need of a plan right now.

My second thought was:

When an app causes this much drama, I think it's time to step away for a little while.

I would probably just ignore it. I don't think you know for absolute sure that Lois recorded your conversation, or that Ella was talking about that conversation. If it bugs you to see that post on your wall, hide it.

If those people are pissing you off at every turn, time to hide them, and/or delete and block them. But if you do that, be prepared for fallout.

Thank you for your replies.

Lois recorded the conversation without my permission. She asked me if she could. I told her no. She recorded what I said anyhow. The conversation didn't last long. I don't want to get into the whys and wherefores of all that.

Yes, they are both drama queens. They will not be in my life any longer.

Love this term: "vaguebooking."

First time I have heard that!

This ^^^ I find it funny when people assume fb posts are about them. I sometimes post random thoughts and usually 4-5 friends ask if I'm referring to them.

I think you need to walk away from both of them. I would want nothing to do with people that are nutty enough to record a phone conversation. For what? That's just nutter territory.

I'm sorry I can't get past the part that someone recorded a conversation you had with them and then possibly played it back for someone else to listen to.

How old are all of you?

Considering if this is what did in fact happen, its something my junior high students would do. Can you really put up with that much drama? I know I can't.

Why would Lois record your conversation?

It's mystifying to me that grown women have time for that kind of bullshit. Why would you even engage with that?
