Posted: 10/5/2012 8:32:32 AM They have all been treated with Advantix.... I bought flea powder and collars, and they still have fleas!!! Uggghhhh. I have alot of sand in the yard. I have also tried spraying that wth outdoor spray. Completely skeeves me out. Any home rememdies to help??

Go to your vet and get a dose of Comfortis or Trifexis (it's the same as Comfortis but also has a heart worm medication in it). My dogs get a dose of this monthly and it is the only thing I give my dogs now. We had a flea problem at the beginning of summer a few years ago and as soon as we switched to this we haven't seen another one.

I'd like to second the Trifexis recommendation. We had an awful problem with fleas because of a neighbor 2 doors down who thinks it's cute to feed all the feral cats in the neighborhood (you can count up to 9 cats/kittens in her yard at any given time). We switched to Trifexis in May of this year and I haven't seen a flea since - it's good stuff!
