I find the Everything tab is much more interesting. The only thing is that when I pin something and hit the back button, I don't get the same page I had to begin with. Am I doing something wrong? Sometimes I'll see 2 things I'm interested in and when I go back the other one isn't there.

The Everything tab moves very quickly. Sometimes if I see more than one thing I want to pin I'll quickly like them and then go back and look at them later.

I also do a random search a lot, like: star, red, . ,<3 , etc. to to see what pops up - sometimes good - other times crap. But I think it's fun.

I always right-click on the pin and open in a new tab/window so I can look at it, see if I want to pin it, or not, and then I can go back to the main window and be exactly where I was.

Not only does the Everything tab move quickly, it actually does randomly change, so no, you're not doing anything wrong.

Like the others have said, opening links on another tab is the way to go and not lose what you were looking at.
