I am amazed that you can Google almost anything and YouTube has a how-to video for it!

After suffering for days with an eye issue and not being able to get my contact out (it's a long term use lens that stays in for 30 days then gets thrown away) I Googled how to remove a contact lens with acrylic nails...OMGoodness! A cute young gal saved my life this morning!!!

So...keeping it PG, what have you learned from a YouTube video??

How to change the heading on a pair of curtains I was given a lovely pair that were just right for my sitting room but I didn't like the old fashioned heading - so I changed it!

Glad you got your problem solved too!

My husband has a website/you tube channel with lots of home appliance and car (Honda) DIY videos. Lots of positive comments as they definitely save money!

How to cast off.

How to entertain Jay for hours on end with videos of remote control trucks, trailers, and boats.

Lisa

We have often asserted and we affirm it yet again that no fact in history is better attested than the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It must not be denied by any who are willing to pay the slightest respect to the testimony of their fellow men. That Jesus, who died upon the cross, and was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, did literally rise again from the dead. (excerpted from Dance Your Shoes Off, Second Baptist Church)

My husband and son built a small hunting cabin. It's only 12x16 with a (obviously) small loft. One window, one door, and a small wood stove. Next spring they are putting on a small (obviously!) deck.

The first time I saw it I was amazed at the quality.
I had been pretty sure it was going to look like a wonky Dr. Seuss house, but it is actually sturdy as heck!

Tons of make up looks, check out MakeupbyTiffanyD, she is incredible. But I get a little freaked out while I watch her because she looks exactly like one of my best friends from high school haha.

I've also learned : fish tail braid, sock bun, messy teased bun, how to prepare eggplant for cooking (didn't realize you had to salt it and let it sit before you cook), how to make a pore strip out of egg whites, how to make an acne mask out of aloe vera gel and uncoated aspirin and my favorite was how to properly clean out your make up brushes.

I am amazed too, at how many people share these ideas on youtube. I agree about the corn shucking. I love that method and that guy is adorable with his ove gloves. I've learned how to put a pocket in a lining of a purse (that looks professionally done), how to do other quilting tasks more easily, how to use various programs like silhouette studio and photoshop, and more. My kids wanted photoshop installed on their laptops but I told them I didn't know much about anything other than editing photos. They looked up tutorials on youtube and it wasn't long before they were using it for all kinds of creative things.

Mine are things I probably should have known long ago, but never learned.

*How to tie a man's necktie. DS#2 had his senior portrait scheduled a few years ago and DH and DS#1 weren't home. DS#2 had no idea how to tie it and I was in a panic. I looked on Youtube and sure enough, it talked me through it.

Love YouTube!

I learned the sock bun, herringbone braid, and makeup applications.

Decorating idea.

Everything I know about crested geckos I'm sure I learned from here; from breeding to candling eggs to caring for babies.

Just last month I needed to figure out how to move my piano across the hardwood floor. Somebody made a YouTube clip about making sliders from leftover wood and carpeting. Worked like a charm.
