Was my TV going crazy or was there a constant narration throughout the show. It was extremely annoying. What was CBS thinking? If this is going to happen every week, then I just can't watch anymore.

It was NBC. I did not have a narration, but there was a banner running throughout the show due to some issue between Dish Network and some channels. Which was incredibly irritating as well, and I thought the same thing about NBC. Oct 8 can't come soon enough and if I can avoid NBC until then, I will. Apparently that is the deadline for something.

I didn't notice that- I have Comcast.

It reminds me of two episodes of Castle we DVRed last year- the whole shows were ONLY background music, no voices. It was the strangest thing and I don't know of anyone else that saw it.

I have DirecTV, so not sure it had to do with the carrier. That was what made it more irritating-not relevant to me in any case.

No narration. No banner
Maybe you had the thing turned on on your tv that does it. We once had a tv on which it was very easy to do. It was a button on the remote that was easy to hit by accident.

I am always hitting that button by accident so that's the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread.

I have Dish and didn't have any problems. No narration or banner. Maybe it's a regional thing?

The first thing my DH accused me of was hitting the SAP button Everything on the TV was normal. We have directTV so maybe that had something to do with it.

For those that didn't experience it it went something like this...
Narrator: Monroe and rosalee are sitting on the couch
Then there is some dialogue
Narrator: Monroe opens his eyes wide with surprise
Etc.

Every time somebody's placement changes or facial expression changed the narrator would announce it. I kept thinking this would be helpful if I was blind.

No narration, but there was a banner. Evidently, there is some contract dispute with dish network and NBC.

I saw a movie on tv once that was narrated like that, and it was for non sighted viewers. It was kind of interesting, kind of like closed captioning, but for people who can't see. "Man crosses floor, briskly, opens drawer, unfolds paper, hands shaking." I haven't watched my DVRed episode yet, but we have Directv, so now I am very curious!

It's the narration for the visually impaired. Which is supposed to be something that you turn on if you want it, liked closed captioning. It's not supposed to be on by default. But, from the comments I've seen on the Grimm page on Facebook, this has been happening pretty much every week in different parts of the country. Weird.

You can watch it on hulu without the narration!

I think it's a plot by the Wesen.
