included in their Thanksgiving dessert menu?
It's always been a tradition in our family to at least have a pumpkin pie, even if there are other options. This year we didn't have it. it didn't seem right, somehow.

No pumpkin pie at our house this year. I made a pecan pie and a Pumpkin Spice cake. Both were yummy!

We never have pumpkin pie. Our Thanksgiving dinner is just my mom, my sister and brother in law, and me. I'm the only one who would eat the pumpkin, and even then, it's not my favorite. We only have one dessert, and it's a dutch apple pie, which everyone likes.

No way! For us, it's not Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie! (and apple pie and cherry pie and coconut cream pie and 4 berry pie and congo bars...)

We are dessert heavy hitters.

We didn't have pumpkin pie either. Nobody likes it. I baked pumpkin donuts instead but for dessert we had brownies and rice krispy treats

We opted for pumpkin roll, apple pie, cheesecake and chocolate mousse. My MIL is the only one who makes pies and *whispering* they're not very good. She made her apple pie "sugar" free. As in no type of sweetener anywhere. Feel free to eat healthy, woman, but don't screw with Thanksgiving dessert.

We had blueberry, cherry, and caramel apple walnut. The cherry and blueberry were barely touched. The caramel apple walnut was delish!

Unfortunately we didn't. My husband is allergic to cinnamon and I can't get it to taste right without it.

Well, kinda. My dad has been on a pumpkin pie baking kick lately and they have all been delicious. But the one he made for Thanksgiving he somehow managed to confuse the amounts of salt and sugar he needed and got them backwards. We all bit in and were like "mmmm...where's the trash can?"

None here this year. I have always made pumpkin pie along with either cherry, custard, apple, and/or pecan - not all of those at once but usually at least one other depending on the amount of people expected. BUT for the last few years I always end up throwing half the pumpkin out so I didn't make it this year. Made a cherry one (which didn't turn out too great) and apple crisp which was gone early. NO one asked whe the pumpkin pie was so I might not ever make another one. might buy a cherry one instead too.

We never have pumpkin pie in our home, but when we get invited to someone else's house, they always seem to have it.

We're more a cake/cheesecake/chocolate dessert family.

We have it, but I wouldn't care if we didn't - I don't like pumpkin pie! I'd rather have pecan pie and an apple pie!

No pumpkin pie here either. I think it is . My kids would never eat it and since we had so many other desserts I figured my mom and grandfather would never miss it. I don't regret our decision.

I never eat dessert on Thanksgiving because I always eat too much turkey and stuffing! But I love pumpkin pie for breakfast.

we didn't have any dessert at all. We are saving our calories for the Christmas cookies that I will make. I am only planning on making one recipe for those, as well. We are cutting down on sweets and losing weight, so we haven't been eating dessert for at least 4 months now. didn't make a difference to us at all.

No pumpkin pie, no turkey, no stuffing! German MIL made dinner this year. I'm still crying inside a little, and I will probably make all of that within the next week because this was just all sorts of wrong.

No pumpkin pie because my Navy son is the only one who really loves it and he wasn't home for Thanksgiving.

I did make a pumpkin roll (the really thin sheet cake spread with a cream cheese based filling with pecans and all rolled up) that some call a "yule log" dessert. It was great! And it's all long gone. It was so good, I'm seriously considering making another this weekend just because we didn't get enough!
