... that my credit card company put a fraud alert on my card.
They called and I had to okay a bunch of charges. One of them was here at Two Peas in a Bucket. There weren't any really big charges but there were a lot of them. And I'm not done yet, either. |

I absolutely love online shopping. I haven't done a lot of places this weekend -- but my amounts are really high -- and I'm not done yet.... |

DH is deployed and his job was to watch for online deals for laptops for the kids. We were on the phone together when he hit the "buy" button. Sure enough, denied. I was able to complete things on my end, but yowsa! |

I have also done a load of online shopping this week. I received 9 parcels this morning alone. I love the fact I can sit in my jammies and shop, plus most places do better prices than our local shops and no p&p! |

It was really nice of them to check. I was afraid you were going to say that you smoked the card and would need to request a larger limit! | |

No fraud alerts, I've spread mine out over a couple weeks and a couple cards... But getting into the RED zone on balances. (65% of line of credit)
I am now on a first name basis with both the regular UPS route driver, but the Holiday Driver too! |

LOL! I am honestly shocked that our card has not been flagged for fraud yet. I am using an AmEx we NEVER use, and just like you the charge amounts aren't very high, but there are quite a few of them |

I have this one credit card that I've only ever used for automatic payments on a life insurance policy that I got through them. It had been piling up cash-back points for years but the total wasn't large, and I hadn't really paid any attention to it.
But a few months ago they notified me that I could use the cash-back awards directly at amazon.com and that changed everything. Plus right now they have an additional 5% cash back for online shopping.
So that's the long way around of saying, I've been putting all my cyber-weekend shopping on one card. |

Sandy, it's a Discover card and they're doing 5% extra cash back on online shopping for the last quarter of the year. They have something different each quarter. Last quarter it was gas stations. |

I know I am using my Discover card to and never use it - all because of the 5% back. I figure I am buying the items anyways why not get a little more back. I also love that you can use your bonus at amazon. I am looking forward to shopping in January when it hits the card. I also have some GC for amazon but figure there are always things I will buy there so am using the card to get the extra 5% when I can - figure it will help with the tax. I wish they automatically took it off when you purchase like the Target redcard but oh well still not going to complain. We are using our Discover card for all our on-line purchases - well all the places that accept it. I would be really bummed if they denied my card and I missed something. We haven't really spent that much though just $5 here and $10 there and most have been through amazon.
I have to say I am loving on-line shopping right now. I have saved a ton buying on-line vs driving all over town and not being able to find what I am looking for and just wasting gas and time and not getting what I want. DS has specific Lego sets he wants and several were older sets and I found them on Amazon and they were cheaper than at Lego dot com so I bought them there and didn't have to worry about the high minimum shipping for Lego. |

I'm doing most of my shopping on-line too. I knew that when I bought myself a pair of Holly Hobbie Chrismas earrings from Etsy that it was time to stop for a few days. |

I'm majority online with just a jaunt or two out to enjoy the seasonal ambiance and buy stocking stuffers and items I feel I need to inspect personally.
I love online shopping not only for ease and deals but for wrapping. Those shipping boxes wrap so nicely.
As for the credit card mine is burning up during a bathroom renovation (necessary not for fun). I'm surprised I haven't received a call. |

I also agree that the Ability to find exactly what you are looking for is so nice. No more wandering the stores hoping they will have what I want. Instead I search and find it quickly with $0 gas - or impulse buys and coffee/lunch. |

I only have a pay as you go CC ( it works for me ) and we couldn't cash our check until Friday ( Boo! ) and I didn't shop Friday but everyone is talking about cyber shopping so I'm going to put my Christmas money on my card and try it. Wish me luck in finding some good deals. |
