And if anyone can, some P&PTs for us and Chance please?
It's this afternoon. It is the right decision. 
****final update from me
Hope Rufus and Mocha's doggie moms don't mind that Chance is (I bet) playing with them now, as well as all the other pets of pea-dom. 
The rest of the pack are subdued, right now. We'll be fine, and Chance is now pain free.

So sorry to hear this. Bless his little soul. Our vet made a paw print of our kitty when we lost her. It's so sweet to still look at.

HUGS!!! Thats so hard,we've done it twice and it's never easy but at least they don't have to suffer! That was my consolation and made it a little easier and it was a very peaceful process. Our vets were wonderful about it and even sent us cards!! HUGS to you and your family! |

Oh I am so, so sorry! It is just the very worst and while I hate to be the bearer of bad news, it is worse the next day and for about a week after.
I am just now getting to the place where I don't cry at least once a day for our beloved Bailey who passed in Oct.

((((hugs)))). Glad you were able to love on him and pamper him in his last moments. I hadn't thought of that until the thread after we had lost our Padme where people were talking about the last meals they gave their furbabies.

That was saddest of all for me. To see our other dogs just openly mourning and 'crying'. Our younger son said the minute we left with Bailey that they all started howling and crying and when he came 30 minutes later to join us, they were at the door whimpering. Our other Lab still has not recovered, he misses his friend terribly and even though we have given Bailey's beds to the shelter, our other Lab will lay in the spot they were in vs. being in his own bed.
I moved his bed to that spot thinking it would help, he chomped down on it and moved it back where it belonged and just laid where his friend had been.

Sandy, I am so very, very sorry. Been there more than a few times and it is never easy. Animals do indeed grieve which makes it even that much harder for us humans. Hugs to your whole family, pets included.

I'm very sorry for your the loss of your family member. They really do leave paw prints on your heart. I had to have my sweet Buster(mixed la put down at the end of August. He was diagnosed with intestinal cancer, he was 14. Its one of the hardest things to do but you don't want them to suffer. I'm glad you were able to let him go with dignity, thats true love.
