So sorry to see them go.

I like everyone else left, but I love James and Jaymes. They seem really sweet.

DD6 and I were rooting for them from the beginning, we honestly didn't think they would win - but so happy they did. A little sad for team #2, but overall - a great race!

From week one I wanted them to win. Every week I thought they were going to get eliminatd. I have been a huge fan of their since the early days and have read all of their books.

They are really stand up people and played a clean race despite all their challenges.

I am SHOCKED that they won. Although that last challenge seemed tailor made for them.

I think I was more happy to see them beat the twins than to win the whole race though .

Funny that Team 1 and team 2 were both at the back of the pack for a good part of the game. Good job to both teams for not giving up!

I really like the top two teams all the way through but I'm delighted with who won. I also think this season was really interesting because these tops teams all played nice - they worked cooperatively, they didn't play dirty, they didn't smack talk anywhere near as much or as badly as in recent seasons.

I literally started crying when they came running into the room. This was the best finale ever. I was sad for J&J, because they had been my first choice most of the race, and they did have the best plans for the money. But the way the twins treated the Beekmans, made me start to shift my allegience. I was happy with the entire final 3, but my two favorite teams ended up 1 & 2, and you can't beat that, especially in a reality competition.

According to this article they do. It is an old article so the information may have changed. What really gets me is that according to that article, Romber was paid half a million just to be on the show. wth.

The winners were not my season fav but I liked them a lot. As my irrational hate grew for the twins, my desire to see the Beekman boys to remain grew as well. They did play fair and although they were not perfect they had a lot of class (even in moments I might have wanted to pop someone). It is nice that they will be able to be together due to their winnings. I would imagine this is what got them through some of the tough moments during the race.

My general preference is for a strong team throughout the season to take it. For this finale I was rooting for the BB or the Chippies. Both of these teams struggled, but endured and came out on top at the end.

I cannot believe the nastiness the twins spewed throughout the race. I hope they learn from this experience and grow as people. I would imagine they get a lot of advice from viewers on how to treat others now.

While I liked the winners as people, and I enjoyed their ability to be a good team together and support each other, I am disappointed they won. They were weak throughout the entire game. I would have been more satisfied had the third place team won, and felt it was a just win. That final task was a nightmare.

But the point of the race is to avoid being eliminated in the individual legs. Brent and Josh did just that. I don't get why people are complaining about them winning. Hasn't it always been said that no matter how a team does during the majority of the race, the most important leg is the last one? They pulled it out and now they're getting so much hate it's not funny (not saying people on this thread but elsewhere the hate is vicious). I suppose they're used to it or maybe you never get used to that.

eta: I was thrilled that the 3rd place team did not win. They were part of the plot to keep the rockers' money and I think they were just as guilty of stealing as the twins were. If the Beekmans hadn't won, I'd rather James and Jaymes won.

I agree with all of this.

I liked Trey and Lexi up until the point they alligned with the twins and when they took that money, I think from the Rockers? And I thought the twins were one of the most obnoxious, mean teams on there in a while. I'm so, so happy the Beekman's beat them!

And I'll be honest and say I was quite entertained watching Lexi lose it during the final challenge.

The Loire valley is my favorite place and seeing them trek thru familiar sites was fun. The mushroom cave has incredible soup. Too bad they didn't grab some before they left.

I'm glad the twins went, they were nasty.

I was so glad the twins were out... All though I was happy to see that they were relatively positive about their elimination.

I didn't really care for Trey and Lexi after the whole deal with the Rockers. I'm happy they were #3.

I was bummed that the Chippendales didn't win. They were positive throughout the race (unlike the Beekmans) and just seemed like genuinely good guys. I'm really glad they got to take a car home to mom though!

The Beekmans were my #2 team, so I'm not at all upset that they won. Especially since some of the other teams tried to keep them out of the final leg. It's fun to see and underdog team come from behind like that.

I was just going to post the same. I was really rooting for J&J -- they had a great attitude throughout. I thought the winners were too whiny at times.

The twins were so horrid.

i too was hoping for J&J only because the Beekman's could be nasty to each other on occasion while J&J always seemed to be encouraging to each other and so polite to everyone - cab drivers, etc.

the twinnies were so awful at the end with all their comments about having to beat 'the gays' and also when they had to do their speedbump - which they did very quickly - they seemed so disappointed that their alliance went on without them...did they think they were going to wait for them? and all their shrieking seemed so silly, especially when they kept accusing the BB of riding coat tails (which they had been doing also) and faking an injury...so glad Karma stepped in.

good to see the rockers weren't still stuck in Russia. I hope they can come back again on a fan favorite show as i think they would have gone to the end.

I was pretty bummed with the results because I really, really wanted the Chippendales to win. Badly. I thought they were such a positive and strong team and were completely supportive of one another and stayed upbeat and kind throughout the whole race. I can't say the same for the Beekmans. I'm not judging them too harshly because I can't say I would have behaved better. It's not as if they behaved awfully...they were just very whiny at times and often non-supportive on the harder tasks. They gave me a stomachace sometimes.

If it hadn't been for the money incident and, to a smaller degree, the yelling the twins were doing at the Beekmans in this last leg, I would have reather seen either of those teams win over the Beekmans. Although J&J would have stayed way at the top for me no matter what. I actually think that despite those two ugly incidents with the twins, they were pretty entertaining. I thought they had fun throughout the race and took time to have fun with the locals. It's a shame they had to steal that money.

All that aside, it is still kind of fun to see a true underdog team win. It's hard not to get a tear in your eye over that. And their kiss at the end was beautiful. Anyone disgusted by that disgusts me.

I hope Jaymes gets the money he need for his sick parent. I think that guy should be in tv or movies or something. He is such an amazing package (looks, charm, personality, all of it). Good for those guys for winning the cars. It's the only thing that makes their loss palatable (for me), that and the hopefully chunk of change they get for 2nd place.

Apparently Jaymes (or is it James?) will fare just fine...I caught a glimpse of him last night on that new show on TLC about the Vegas ladies...Sin City something or other. He was hosting a huge event that they were attending, and there he was on stage in all his beautiful, Chippendales glory! I'm sure he was compensated pretty well for that.

I loved that the Beekman boys won. And they gave my sons a lesson in a lifestyle they've never asked about before. No real reason, it's just never come up before. They have been a favorite team in our family for the whole season along with the Chippendale boys. When they first crossed the finish line, my 11 and 7 year old boys were cheering, and then they kissed, which caught both my boys off guard. They both stopped clapping dead in their tracks and just stood silently staring at the tv. Then my oldest son goes, "What in the heck?" My 17 year old dd jumped in and said, "Oh, it's ok, Will. They're a couple. I think they're even married." to which my 7 year old replied, "But they're both boys?" My 14 year old dd chimed in, very non-chalantly, "Yeah, boys can be in love with each other just like Mom and Dad are. Girls, too." After about, oh, I don't know, one second of silence, both my boys were like, "Cool!" and the cheering continued. So thank you to the Amazing Race for helping me introduce same-sex relationships to my boys through such a great example.

Those that watch The Fabulous Beekman Boys would understand that Brent and Josh actually barely argued on the race compared to normal. And I think (and I'm trying to say this in the nicest way) that Josh just has this natural whine about him and to me, it didn't seem like they were whiny at all. Beyond that natural whine, that is.

Here is a pretty long but very nice 'thank you' from Brent and Josh, which even includes a thank you to the twinnies.

They are both awesome though. Jaymes was so patient when James left that log behind. I think it showed their true character. Any woman...or man would be lucky to have them.

And the Twinnies! So very happy when they were eliminated!

I am a huge BB fan--watched their show from day 1--found it on accident.

I would love to know how much they "edited" out of them bickering & I I bet it's enough for an entire season of BB!!

I can't wait for them to start w/new episodes speaking of BB.

If you're a reader , read Josh's books they are really good. The last book had me FOTF LMAO.

The first book I am not myself these days is "dark" and just a WOW ---jaw dropper. I was shocked when I read it.

The show is called The Fabulous Beekman Boys and it's about them on their farm. It originally aired on Planet Green but since they're not around anymore, it was recently re-aired on Cooking Channel. I've read rumors of a 3rd season but nothing official yet. If you have netflix streaming it used to be available on that (first season, at least).
