Are you a troll or not because I think you are hilarious I sometimes get pissed off with the whining and the perfectness of some of the posters and then you come in and say just what I was thinking and I laugh so hard .

This is a 'well done, props to you' PM but you will probably be scathing if you even bother to reply

Cheers!

Most Peas don't post pmails. I think that's why they call those things personal emails.

If Sukkii wanted to tell the world how she felt, she surely would have posted it to the board. Not sure why you did.

Pretty tacky to post that and break that pea's confidentiality. Ironic from a person who creates an alternate ID because they don't have the guts to post under their "real" pea name.

Captain K, for future reference, posting a private message, especially from a fan, is never the right thing to do. I doubt that she is laughing now. Sukkii did a nice thing and you repay her like this? Maybe you should delete it before more see it.

Meh, serves her right.
Either be honest and post what you really think in the first place or don't, we all have that choice. But if you sneak around high-fiving trolls via peamail while you otherwise pretend to be 'nice' then you shouldn't be shocked when it comes back to bite you in the bum.

And confidentiality? seriously, here? Why would anyone expect that?

It's very tacky to post a PM publicly. But Captain K knows this already and will delight in any shitstorm she creates from posting it..

As for Sukkii, she shouldn't feel bad for feeling the way she does, we all have a right to our feelings, so she'll get no flames from me. If I remember correctly, she's a foreign pea right? And lately many foreign peas have been blasted for having opinions on the US gun control topic, I believe I saw her in a few of those threads. Yep, they don't live here, and maybe "they step in it" from time to time, but just because they don't blow roses and sunshine up our American behinds does not make them the enemy or mean they cannot join our discussions. I wonder, if perhaps that is why she feels the way she does about "perfect peas". But don't take my opinion as fact, just rambling here.

It is kind of an unwritten rule that you don't post pmail. That's why you hear cries of 'She pulled the pmail card' when someone is getting piled on and says she's received lots of pmail supporting her views.

I know peas have off board convos, that's why they have pmail, isn't it>

Must have missed that 'unwritten' rule over the years...I was probably reading a thread with a posted peamail in it at the time. Admittedly it hasn't occurred for a while, but that's probably only because many people have taken their off board conversations onto Facebook instead. It used to happen fairly regularly and often people would demand to see 'proof' of any mentioned peamails.
I've seen enough of them posted over the years to know that there is no expectation of privacy.
But then I do seem to have a more realistic memory of events around here than some others do.

I have posted that I agreed with Captain K at times on threads, but this one I don't at all.

Very true^^^

Many years ago, when I first started using a message system to communicate, which was years before email, I learned to not put anything in writing that I was concerned about someone seeing if it went to unintended people. It is probably more important to remember this today than it was back then.

I think showing the pea's name *was* the point. I don't think the point was to show that people appreciate her - I think the point was to throw Sukkii under the bus and show what she's really like.

Oh, I don't know. Sometimes it's okay to post another person's e-mail. Like when a pea privately pea-mails someone and makes horrible comments about police. The rest of the peas find it hard to believe such vile things were said about law enforcement. Proof is posted and said offender is shocked that her teenager's friend has hacked into her pea-mail.

It's quite possible this is what happened to Sukkii.

Yep, exactly. I cannot stand it when people don't say what they really think but instead talk in private messages, gossip about others behind their backs, use things like the blog to express their opinions. If she agrees with me enough to peamail me that, she should be willing to say it in "public."

Why is what I did mean? Because what Sukii said is seen as "bad" here on the board, for someone to agree with me? If I was a "liked" pea and had posted a compliment someone else sent me, this whole thread would be "ITA" and "So and So is such a sweet pea!"

Why is what you did mean? Because she sent it to you privately. If she had wanted the whole board to know what she thought, she would've told the whole board.

I don't care about the content. I think you posting publicly something she believed to be private is mean.

Just because you don't like people sending things privately doesn't give you the right to expose what she said privately.

Then tell us who YOU are. Don't hide behind an anonymous name. I'm certain you are a former Pea. You burst onto the scene with too much background information and with an ax to grind.

If you want to be taken seriously about "saying what you really think", you need to have a real identity here, not one that is just a screen name.

You are as big of a chicken shit as someone who says one thing and Peamails something different.

What the hell do you mean i 'burst onto the scene'? I've been here for 7 years. I think that's enough time to understand the 'background information'.

And I have no concerns about being taken seriously. Do you say that to everyone who doesn't post photos of themselves all over the board and doesn't disclose their real name? I've posted plenty about my family and personal topics over the years.

Okay, I too received a pea mail from Sukkii and it was kind and not at all inflammatory or mean. I won't post it, but I do want everyone to know it really touched me and made me feel good about what and how I post.

I also want Sukkii to know that I tried to respond but in true pea mail fashion it wouldn't go through. So thank you for your kind words Sukkii they meant a lot to me and I hope you continue to participate in the conversations you referenced as your opinion is just as valid as everyone else.

So if someone in real life takes you aside privately and says, "I really like how you handled such and such situation. Those individuals aren't as awesome as they think and I like the way you held your own against them" your immediate response would be to broadcast to the crowd exactly what was said to you in private?!

That doesn't even make sense. Someone was nice and complimentary to you and your instinct is to embarrass them and call them hypocritical.

I don't get it.
