Does anyone head this type of program for their schools as a fundraising activity? Just wondering what companies are the most reputable and pay the most amount of money.
I have a few of companies to research (cartridgerecyclingcenter.com, fundingfactory.com) but just looking for others.
Thanks! | |

Not for school, but I'm a Relay for Life captain, we had good luck with this company - Empties4Cash. Since we're a smaller group, we didn't make quite as much, so I looked into other options, and we did REALLY well with cell phone recycling - GRC Wireless Recycling. We made much more on the phones because they pay out higher amounts (depending on the phone). Both companies send you pre-paid shipping labels to use, so you're not out the shipping costs. Each one has a minimum (I think it's 20 on the inks, and 10 on the phones) that you have to meet before you send the box in, but they send the checks back fairly quick (like 2-3 weeks). HTH! | |

Our school uses Planet Green. There are a lot of items they won't take. We've been collecting since last spring an made about $50. Plus we had a lot of leftovers we have to dispose of. It's not a major source of cash for our school. We do better with box tops.
I'll be watching this thread to see if someone has a better company to go with.
Best wishes,
