She was fantastic in the senate and house hearings today! I watched most of it and I was so impressed by her intelligence and her ability to respond to the ridiculous attacks on her by the republicans. Rand Paul acted like a jackass.

Well I would agree she woulda been better than the idiot we have now but don't think she will make it. She's probably too smart! By the time Obama is done with us in 4 more years no one is gonna fix this mess!! Btw while i didn't watch it all thought rand did a superb job questioning her. Like it or not there is a coverup. It may take a while just like watergate but this administration will have egg (or more) on its face when this is over!! |

I think that even if she runs, her age and health may work significantly against her. Old-looking women don't garner the same respect as old-looking men. I'm not saying that's right, I just think it's reality. People will dissect her health far more than Cheney's heart issues, for example. |

If I were Rand Paul and that Johnson guy, I would be worried about being in their garages alone... you know Hillary has some "connections" that would be happy to make those two problems go away. Or so the conspiracy nutters would have it.
Personally, I thought she showed great reserve in not pointing out that it WAS a Republican boondoggle led by Rand Paul and a few others that caused the limited resources to protect Ambassador Stevens in Libya. |

In my ideal world she would have got the nod in 2008, done her 8 years as president, then it would be Obama's turn for the next 8 years. I just think she will be too old in another 4 years unfortunately.
Then again, as I have been reminded previously on political threads, who cares what I think, I'm not even American LOL!

She's 65. 4 yrs she'll be 69. That's not too old?
What was the oldest pres?
1.Ronald Reagan (69 years, 11 months, 14 days)
2.William H. Harrison (68 years, 0 months, 23 days)
3.James Buchanan (65 years, 10 months, 9 days)
4.George H. W. Bush (64 years, 7 months, 8 days)
5.Zachary Taylor (64 years, 3 months, 8 days)
6.Dwight D. Eisenhower (62 years, 3 months, 6 days)
so that would put her right up there... |

Well, with the exception of that one post the entire thread has been about Hillary. It didn't even come up until the 8th post. She probably shouldn't have mentioned the usual suspects, but even so I think the OP really wanted to talk about how awesome Hillary is. |

The reason it came up at all is because she said it. She started the thread and couldn't even wait 10 minutes until she just had to stir it up with people that aren't even participating in this thread.
...but even so I think the OP really wanted to talk about how awesome Hillary is.
Sure she did.
You might not have noticed her posting style, but it's really what she's all about. I caught on when she aimed several of these unprovoked kind of posts at me in the Penny's thread. She's just done another one aimed at Lynnlam in Lauren's gun banning thread. At least that one's slightly disguised as about the issue. Slightly.
ETA: It was pointed out to me that it wasn't the Penny's thread it was on the last page of the Pinocchio thread.

I've stated many times I have respect for Hillary Clinton. I may not agree with all of her politics, but I would've rather she been the presidential candidate in 2008 and I think the media was biased and cheated her out if it with their Obama love orgy. She was robbed. But the media tends to hate on smart and powerful women.
Ps, OP, Hillary is spelled with two "L"s and Michele Bachmann only has one.

I'm not counting her out AT ALL. Her age and health have as much to do with a run as it did with past candidates and/or Presidents.....nada.
She's was great yesterday. I worked from home and had the television on and could hear from my office. She handed those men their ass on a platter and she did with facts, with her intelligence, her knowledge of the job and MOST of them could take a BIG lesson from her on taking responsibility for their duties. She sure didn't have a problem doing it.
She looked very Presidential.....but we'll see if she does....there are others out there that I'm very hopeful about also.
