Have yet to do my run today. I am taking oldest DD to a birthday party, and I greatly dislike birthday present shopping for kids I don't know. DD will, of course, help. She just takes FOREVER when shopping. It's going to be a long morning. Looking forward to my run.

I got in 3.5 this morning, breaking it up into .5 miles with some crossfire stuff between sets. (10 push ups. 20 squats, 30 sit ups)

I'm beat. Lol

I'm loving keeping up with these threads and will have to run vicariously thru you girls for the next couple of months because I'm having knee surgery on Feb. 6, which means at the minimum I'm out for 6-8 weeks, but quite possibly for 3 months. I'm hoping the surgery is a success and results in a pain free knee for a long time to come and that I can get back to running and working out come late spring/early summer. I'm a bit bummed and discouraged, but it is what it is so just trying to find the positives in it all!

Anyway, great job everyone...Beth, can't wait to hear if your trip is a go; sounds so amazing!!!!

No running here today, but would like to sympathise with the present buying. I had to do that last night for a party today.
After the birthday party, we are off to a Burns Night Supper, so I am hoping the ceilidh dancing will count toward my cardio workout today

Did the Color Run in the pouring rain and mud! Despite it, it was so much fun. My second time this year and I walked with a big group of people. I just love the end and its so neat to watch people let loose and dance in the rain

Going to the gym later and do 4 miles! My first time ever trying to run it. Let's hope I can come back and let you guys know how it went.

a hit on gifts: get a box and keep it put up. When your out shopping if you find something you think you need (SALE) then just add it to the boxes. No more last minute shopping trips for kids birthdays.

I have quite a few learing disabilitys that effect my spelling a grammer. I do know my grammer and spelling suck. I have been working on this problem all my adult life.

DD and I did the Color Run today. It was her first 5k. She was really worried when we woke up to pouring rain and I said we were still going. About halfway through, she asked me what run we were doing next! So, so much fun - even in the rain!

The Seattle-raised girl in me still loves a good run in the rain!

I did an 11 mile training run this morning. The weather was perfect. Felt great until about mile 9...then my knees got a little achy. My foam roller and I are BFFs today, lol. Mentally though, I felt great. Two weeks till my half!

I'd like to encourage anyone who is still on the fence about cross-training with weights to give it a go. I have progressively gotten faster and stronger throughout my race training. I also got weighed and measured for a challenge at my box yesterday, and while my weight is pretty stable, my body fat dropped by 3%!

15 miles with USAfit training group. Weather couldn't have been better. Felt good and strong although a bit slower than I'd have liked.

Next week is our top out mileage week, 21.

Then taper begins. We are closing in on race day. Getting so excited and scared all at the same time.

A local running club two weeks ago has started a free 5K race every saturday. This will run for the whole year. Today was my first time ever running/walking a 5K. The run is in a wooded, vehicle-free road in a beautiful city park. My goal is make it happen every saturday.

Today is my daughter's birthday and my house is full of very loud girls right now, but we're on the receiving end of the gifts this time.Where is that drinking post when you need it?
I ran 5 1/2 this morning and had a great run. I think I'm signing up for a half just to get something on the calendar soon and keep me motivated.
I've done the Color Run with the family and we had so much fun! They can't wait to do it again this year. This fall I want to do a Foam Run which looks awesome. Happy running, walking, moving to all!

18 miles for me today. Something was going on with one of the tendons in my foot, starting at about mile 11, and I texted DH and told him that I was going to just make it a 12 miler. He encouraged me to go back to the car, then walk out a mile and back. I did that, decided I could handle the pain, and did it again. In the end, I ran/walked the rest to my 18 mile prescribed run of the day, and while my foot is not happy with me (and currently on ice), I am proud of myself for finishing. I kept telling myself that I'd regret continuing to go on it, but I don't.

Off to pour myself a glass of wine because I don't believe this one needs any Vitamin I. (Ibuprofen.)

Got in 6.5 miles this evening and it was a much better run than the couple I did this past week, so I was pleased. One more week till I start my half training!
